To me the burqa is a sign of a culture for men with no self-control at all. It indicates that men are unable to look at any woman in a chaste way unless she is covered from head to toe like a human tent. It’s a ridiculously co-dependent attitude to claim that nobody is capable of seeing someone of the opposite sex nude without suffering the response of uncontrolled lust. It is not a religion requirement for Muslim women to cover their faces. It is just a traditional practice/culture in some countries. They are sometimes too extreme. Islam teaches its followers to practice Islam in moderation and not overburden themselves.

About witnessing of women in sharia it is not necessary that man will give the last word, but ther are needed two female witnesses.
