Definitely not one of the worst songs of all time. This is basically a criticism of an undetermined pro-capitalist economy/nation. It may be cheesy,but it is far from being one of the "worst" songs of all time. Yngwie Malmsteen's "Queen in Love" gets my vote...100% pure sonic feces.

Nice! I never knew Scanner had a video. Terminal Earth is truly a great album and I think it's a lot better than Hypertrace.

Their best song is definitely From The Dust Of Ages. What an epic masterpiece that is. Someone should upload it here, so more people can hear it.

This band declined over the years, however, Hypertrace was an amazing album in 1988, Terminal Earth was almost just as good in 1990, then came Mental Reservation. This CD from 1992 I believe, featured about 50% decent material such as the great ballad "Your Infallable Smile." After that, they seemed to turn more to "progressive metal" which is where they started to lose their old sound. But, if you listen to Hypertrace even now, it seems just as good as any popular metal band in 1988.

I wouldn't worry yourself over band names. I am a bit concerned by your taste in errr music (if samples assembled via garageband on a computer is your definition of music). By all means go and enjoy the beats at your local gay dance clubs and leave metal to the fans that actually require a degree of musical aptitude from their musicians. Scanner were great but other Speed/Thrash/Power bands like Risk and especially RAGE were a bit better. The Song Not Alone is a near copy of I'm Alive.

Many years searching this video, the one from this band. Scanner is an amazing band and this video is.. emm.. not as good as the band wants (in their own words). But it is funny to see it. Scanner is one of the best bands and one of the most forgotten without justice.
