I am a child hood brain cancer survivor....Pilocytic-astrocytoma...had it since at least age 7...One major brain operation as an adult.......but they could not get it all........No chemo...No radition...there are other ways...please check out my chanel & God bless....I will be 48....
@lucrene1112 Medicine is so amazing now. There are other ways to treat this condition. There's something called gamma knife, which is two rays of light which operate under the surface. This procedure takes a long time, but works really well. Proper diet can help malignant forms of tumours. Living with a PH diet is one of the best ways to combat this illness.
@Killbride yes on the high PH.....lots of differant things...., even legal mushrooms...;;;;; .i will keep your family in my prayers...;;; .on the gamma knife....for myself...I will not do any radition...maybe just stuborn.....but i know i have done well without it......i will keep you all in my prayers..
@stevimated Fortunately, we live in Canada, and we have coverage for hospitalization and medical requirements. Since the hospital was an hour drive from home, we were offered a free room at the Ronald McDonald House. (One of the most decent charities ever)
She began therapy after 3 weeks of hospitalization here, and we were basically living in Toronto for another 4 months, another hour away. Therapy was also covered for children 18 and under. Aside from her illness we had it very good.
i had a brain tumor aswell, it was found in 2005 and i had my surgery in 2007 the 18th april, i was in hospital for nearly 2 years, how long was your daughter in for?? xxxxxx
I don't know if I was doing this more for her or me, but I hope she sees the value in it when she is older. I'm here to help everyone, and hopefully it will benefit them.
One day she can share this with her children, and they will know she's a strong girl and very resilient.
She had strep throat at first, and when it was treated, she was still sick. (Vomiting) For months on end she was sick, so we had to pull her out of school until we knew for sure why. She got better over the summer and got sick again in the fall. This time it was worse. We sought help for her, but only one doctor knew why..and then she had her CT Scan which lead her to surgery that same day..

I also will add something more regarding your sentence "People need to learn more about this and be able to treat it" , I don't think this can help anyone because it doesnt teach anything but just show your daughter recovering , to teach people about this , you could have done a report about the disease instead of a voyeur video.
Yes, I was very blunt, but you have no position here to suggest I'm trying to make a mockery of my daughter. You don't know what I have discussed with others in emails and messages, so don't knock me for what I am trying to do. I have learned that this tumour can come back, and become malignant. Everyone has different symptoms. If I had a better understanding of this before she might never have had to suffer once. Don't tell me I'm wrong for trying to help others by reaching out on here.
The way you're expressing yourself tells it all , maybe I m the only one who answered your video in such a straight way , because maybe I m the only one writing comments about your video who has passed throu this at the same age your daughter is , and so yes I still disrespect you and still think you wanted your 15 minutes glory.

She's great today! This was within a period of 3 weeks. The shunt was the first operation. Her cranial surgery was two days later; January 5th. Everything went so well...thanks for commenting!
