Many people will see it as an extension of cosmetic surgery. Doctors cant wait to start playing god with new sciences they do not sufficiently understand. I for one will keep the natural curls...idiots pay money for them too! And there is always the possibility of mutation...or unexpected results. At the genetic level that wont be a good thing.
all the girlies with straight hair try to get curly hair... so why oh why would we who were given it at birth try and change it??? i like my curls... :)
I don't think they were recommending gene therapy per se, when they were talking about products they may have been referring to new methods of producing curls (or straight hair or even split broken hair) with chemicals. And given how "God" throws out people with that woolly hair problem, thankyou science for fixing his mistakes. Oh, and I have wonderful curly hair too. :P
Great. I wonder how long it will be until people start to use gene therapy to change their appearance. Gene therapy to change eye colour, skin colour, hair colour, etc is possible today.
Mines wavy... I like it depending on the length of my hair.

I'm in love with my curls. Sure, it's a nice change to straighten it every so often. But i'm a curly haired girl for life :))

They shouldn't call her condition wholly hair. That has nothing to do with split ends.
