@UserRelated It sets elevation of the gun. the higher the number the arrow points to, the farther the sights are set. if the elevation is too low, the round hits the ground before it hits the target. If it's too high, the shell goes over the target. idk if you got an answer yet, just trying to help.

If I had your Situational awareness Id be a lot better in BE WWII Online. I havent tried this game yet but am playing WWII Online witch is similar (other than the ridiculus amount of foliage in Western Europe). The Terrain I see in most RO tank videos seem like wonderful open spaces as far as the eye can see.
@seusgordo The Tiger really is the best tank in the game. But this is only in the right hands. Word on advise. Set the range to 800m and leave it there, trust me. And never stay complatly still. And remember, the frontal armor is 18cm thick, use that advantage. Second, if possible stay in pairs. Preferably with another tiger but any other tank will do.

In this video the tank isnt angled. Most of this video illustrates the Tiger in a "hull down position"...using the ground to cover the tanks hull so only the turret is vunarable, which is the best position to have a tank. A Tigers turret was 110mm (120mm at the mantlet), so enemy rounds had trouble penetrating, as you can see lol. These tankers are pros.
I will admit that the IS2's gun was weaker in real life, and also that the Tiger's 88 was not as weak as they made it out to be in the game. However the armor seems decently done, only Russian guns larger than 76mm are going to harm it from the front, which only leaves the IS2 and T34/85. I mop up the pathetic T34's with my Tiger on BlackDayJuly! :)

The 17 pounder was equal to the 88, also there were more powerful guns. The 128mm gun the JagdTiger used was devastating. Although the tank itself was too late to have any impact.
The 17 pounder was said to be equal and counter the 88. But if you translate 17 pounder you get 77mm. And Michael Wittmann was engaged by a 17 pounder at villers-bocage and both shells hit the hull where it was about 100mm thick and both didn't penetrate. The on;y bad thing about the Tiger ws that its drive-tran coulden't take the 56 tons.

The Kwk 36 L/56 8.8cm AT gun was a pure tank killer.

The Tiger instiled a sense of invincibility and the crews performence increased because of this. When Michael Wittmann first sat in the Tiger I. He said compared to his Stug III Ausf. A. He felt like not another tank on the battlefield could touch him. And he was right, it would take a British typhonn fight to kill him. He got 128 kills in a Tiger I.
@RazorCell7 Ya I personally foudn Red Orchestra way too Pro Russian, I mean Russia was known during the war for almost crap for quality, their tanks normally had ahigh tendency to have off gun sights, and the armor was pretty poor quality during some points of the war but thats what you get for a cast turret on a tank rather than rolled and compressed steel seen on all German armor. lol

Hate to break the bubble but Wittmann was the 5th highest scoring Tiger Ace. Otto Carius is more highly regarded than Wittmann ever was, Wittmann is overly famous because of his one major exploit vs the Allies during normandy, which oddly was a turkey shoot his and the other Tigers under his command.

Love the Tiger I and all it's worth but oddly I still like using the Panzer IVs since they have a higher rate of fire, hitting weak points on T34 still = 1 hit kill with Panzer IV's 75mm gun so a good hit is a good hit even without the 88mm gun. Even knocked a T34 out once from super long range with a Panzer III once with 57mm gun, took 4 hits and 7 shots first hit = 3 more shots 2 in air before 2nd shell hit. lol

in my opinion I think this is one of the most realistic FPS games out there.
By the way, what does turning that thing do when you are in the turret view (the Q/E keys). Does it have any affect on anything?

Love the Tiger I and all it's worth but oddly I still like using the Panzer IVs since they have a higher rate of fire, hitting weak points on T34 still = 1 hit kill with Panzer IV's 75mm gun so a good hit is a good hit even without the 88mm gun. Even knocked a T34 out once from super long range with a Panzer III once with 57mm gun, took 4 hits and 7 shots first hit = 3 more shots 2 in air before 2nd shell hit. lol
