does the first Maniac Mansion game in it (y'know the computer located where Wierd Ed is that allows you to play it) also work?

You can add that directory to ScummVM as a separate game, though.

When I first saw this game it was at someones house(I can't remember who). I bought it immediately afterwards and now I talk about it with complete strangers. And yes, with and without sound is hugely different.

Playing the game with General MIDI music instead of Adlib music makes a big difference, too. In fact, that's why I posted this video.

I love this game. It's one of my favorites. :D

I agree, it's a lot easier now that we're older. I still remember playing the floppy disk version on a 286 that didn't have sound... then playing it again after I did have sound and marveling at the difference... then getting the CD version a few years later as part of the LucasArts Archives Vol. 1. It seems like I play through it at least once a year ever since.

I'm not sure right now, but LucasArts has been re-releasing their old games on Steam recently. DotT isn't one of them, but that just fueled the rumor that they're going to remake it.
