I remember watching this, and had no clue on this conundrum until Steve guessed "libouette" -- which put the letters in the right order for me to catch "oubliette" before the clock started again.

Really hoping a letters game with the apropos letters for disengage/gandiseeg comes up again -- there was a recent one where a final G would've done it.

I've been looking for this.. you should put 'gandiseeg' in the title or tags. So funny. Also, it's more Richard Brittain's joke than Charlie Reams' - all Charlie did was imitate it. And kellmano1, from what I know, they never played each other, but Richard Brittain is the champion of series 55. AFAIK Charlie Reams didn't win anything.

Charlie said before this game that he might offer GANDISEEG as answer but only if he was lost and wouldn't be insulting his opponent as a result. I watched this from the green room and had forgotten that Charlie might do this until he actually buzzed at the death. I got so excited that I bit my lip - Charlie Reams = Legend!
