  • Thanks for clearing that up!

  • I remember watching this, and had no clue on this conundrum until Steve guessed "libouette" -- which put the letters in the right order for me to catch "oubliette" before the clock started again.

Really hoping a letters game with the apropos letters for disengage/gandiseeg comes up again -- there was a recent one where a final G would've done it.

  • Lol I got it.

  • what a fucking geek!!

  • Oh man I love Richard Brittain

  • The second guy stopped it at like 29.99 seconds, XD

  • Anyone noticed you hear the bong and the light doesn't come on?

  • @formulacountdown Probably because when Steve buzzed in the music was still playing for a split second.

  • omg its mclovin

  • Having met Charlie, he's very good at Countdown.. but he's a very, very weird bloke.

  • Awesome. But why is it called Charlie Reams' joke when it is Richard Brittain's creation..? And why are the clips the wrong way round?

  • Absolutely brilliant. Richard Brittain is an utter genius.

  • i always thousht richard's conundrum was ANDISEEGG

  • I've been looking for this.. you should put 'gandiseeg' in the title or tags. So funny. Also, it's more Richard Brittain's joke than Charlie Reams' - all Charlie did was imitate it. And kellmano1, from what I know, they never played each other, but Richard Brittain is the champion of series 55. AFAIK Charlie Reams didn't win anything.

  • It's not Richard Brittain's joke. Brittain buzzed in and gave a ridiculous attempt of an answer...that's not a joke. Charlie's was a mickey take and hence a joke.

  • That's pretty damn funny. The first guy must've been gutted. Were they on the same show together?

  • @kellmano1 No, Richard's show was on 14 January 2009, and Reams's was 30 January 2009.

  • It took me a while to figure out the actual answer from that 'Andiesegg' thing, but I think it's 'Disengage'.

Charlie was a funny contestant. =D

  • Haha.

  • I think I went to school with Mr Reams. For two years at least.

Bit of a cunt he was, but a funny cunt.

  • Charlie said before this game that he might offer GANDISEEG as answer but only if he was lost and wouldn't be insulting his opponent as a result. I watched this from the green room and had forgotten that Charlie might do this until he actually buzzed at the death. I got so excited that I bit my lip - Charlie Reams = Legend!

  • what a load of sloblock

  • Aye, I thought the exact same thing...

  • Hillarious! But I probably would've enjoyed it more had the clips been the other way around so that we would know why it's funny...

  • simlar to that greg scott special with daimiam eadie and michael wylie playing

  • Classic countdown moment!!

  • This was so funny - thanks.

  • Just after Richard says "gandiseeg" someone starts to laugh in the audience. The expression on Richard's face is hilarious. He looks at them as if he actually believes his word is real!

  • If you were wondering the answer to the last conundrum is:

    Disengage
