@kija99 hey thats ok its a free country and i did say its bad was only stating my opinion, also try to make a wear the air supply situation. Dont see any body mentioned this, thats all.
nice paint ball clone so where are you guys fill the airtank? dont think airsoft fields will like to spend $12K for an compressor system but you can always play at the nice clean paintball field next door and hey nobody mention the extra 160.00 for the tank and 20 tankpoutch and 40 for the remote line nice and they break too believe me good luck
@YeoldBacon atleast this doesn't look like some fake piece of shit, like your dumb ass paintball gun. Oh yea, sorry, and i don't like getting splattered with paint you piece of shit...and BTW, no I don't feel like having welts all over me...why the fuck would i WANT that? Don't even try and call me a pussy. I play airsoft because it is cheaper and more fun. Getting welts all over is not fun to me. So quit talking shit. Ok, so if you feel the need to prove your manliness, play paintball then!
@MacGroup4Life Oh a nother idiot, who is talking about paintball? i'm a airsofter i mentioned only the down side of a HPA airsoft gun in my opinion , learn to read you ASS,
@mipyman2 Actually very different. The only classic gun that ever ran off a solenoid was the Asahi WA2000, and even it was no where near as advanced as the fusion.
@mipyman2 Not technically, or Tanakas with hpa rigs would be considered classic when they aren't. A classic airsoft gun is an airsoft gun made pre-1990, I believe by anyone of the old airsoft manufacturers. Shoei, Escort, JAC, Asahi, etc. Some classic airsoft guns could run off gas in mag.
The fusion isn't a classic, being more recent and having more advanced features. The solenoids and the fcu being the most obvious.
@mipyman2 Gas wise? They would run off propane/duster(?) rigged to the gun via a remote coil. c02 and hpa became preferred when they became available.
If you mean the actual mechanism they where operated by? Triggers, Sears, springs and valves and o-rings is the best I can tell you. Having never owned a classic, just read up a bit on them. They where really great though. Still kicking after 20 years, the ones that had long range barrels installed reportedly could hit 100 yards consistently.
@ASTacticalNinjaSQ4 Ever heard of classic airsoft? Some of the very first designs had HPA lines running into them....and they influenced modern AEGs...
You guys are retarded. Airsoft started with classic, air powered guns. Not spring guns, High Powered/pressurized Air. This is technically airsoft in its purest form.
unimpressed. Unless u can adjust the rate of fire drastically from 1bps to lets say 20bps-30bps AND adjust the fps from 100fps-600fps AND be consistent (Rather than what I saw on their chrono one shot swinging from 455fpr to the next at 405fps...that's too much swing for a $600-$700) UNLESS u can do that NOT from a twist of a knob (analog) but from a push of a button (digital, SINCE their using microchips) IF u can connect the gun to a computer and adjust all that, then the $700 is justifiable1
@blubag Everything you said it can do, and it's very consistent, except for the button and connect it to a computer. Honestly if you're complaining about that for a gun then obviously you don't know how high crappy AEG's are compared to this.
@Gannon191 actually just saying that the gun is too expensive for my taste. I just can't see myself spending that kind of money on something that I know I won't put to full use. Since it can do all I thought it couldn't, then I can see that the gun is priced right, however, I see AEG's perform perfectly fine, maybe not as high tech as this gun, but real good when I am comparing value. However, I will say that these guns do seem like their built to last, especially last longer than AEG's.
@blubag I can see some more companies taking the fusion engine approach. Possibly a price drop down to about 500 or so. I'm going to stay with my VFC Scar for now, but if I had the chance I'd quickly drop a fusion engine in it. Maybe a G36 though cause Milsim means long days, and I'd need a light gun. Anyways they're making more models, like M249's, AK's G36's, etc.
@Gannon191 If I won the lottery/scored a badass job Hands down I'd order 1 just for laughs & giggles. & I am sure it will be my favorite airsoft gun. I was sooo close to purchasing a VFC. They make a KILLER product!!! But I just literally hit PAY on airsoft gi for a kings arms gas blowback RIS m4. I went with that because I think AEG & this now fusion are more for sport. I got the GBB because its more realistic and that's what I was going for. Hopefully other company's will make their own fusion
@blubag I think GBB's are cool, and I hope to get an SMG GBB, but god the price of mags is just horrendous. to fill up my plate carrier I'd need to spend about 500, just for mags that hold 30 rounds!
@Gannon191 HELL YEAH that smg is a bad ass gun. However, my king arms gas mags are just $42 each which is more affordable than most gas mags...but I only need two or three. I don't go to sporting events or anything like that. Almost none of my friends are into airsoft, so two or three mags will be just fine for me.
@blubag Ah. I play with a couple of my friends the entire day, on extremely small fields with a shit ton of people. I go through my VFC scar-H mags( each carrying 200 rounds) by the end of most long games. I have 3 midcaps and 1 high cap that I don't use.
@blubag actually the gun can pretty much go as fast as your mags can feed ( at least 45 rps, which is already overkill) And the consistency from lack of moving parts offers accuracy up to 250 feet. Not to mention the INSANE trigger response.
@cheetok1ng470 Look, I am not saying it's a bad gun. (as a matter of fact I don't even remember when I made a comment about it here) I just don't see myself buying an airsoft gun for $600+. I Don't care about the basics of the gun. Tim JUST explained it in the video which I watched. I'm not impressed. Its an airsoft gun. Thats all it is too me. I know it is a nice airsoft toy, but It's just something I couldn't see myself getting all excited about and paying $600+ for it. I am fine with my GBBR
first of all, where the HECK DOES IT GET ITS POWER FROM! WHAT A SCUBATANK!, SO THE GUN IS 600$ PLUS ALL THE AIR U NEED PLUS BBS. USUALLY PARTS THAT BREAK ON AIRSOFT GUNS ARE LESS THAN 30$ AND COST 15-20$ FOR A TECHNITION TO FIX IT, REALLY, SO U MAKE SOMETHING THATS 600$ THAT (WONT BRAKE) Just STICK TO HOW AIRSOFT IS SUPPOSED TO BE!
@exikuter1 Supposed to be played? What? It has better internals than any AEG there is, and can function as any gun you want. It's also more consistent than any gun there is.
Anyways, does anyone knows how to adjust the ROF and other stuff on this fusion gear box thingy? Evike said that you can adjust the nozzle feed as well. Not sure how that could be done with 1 button on the little chip and when do they going to sell only just the fusion gear box? and how much would it cost??
@vxa1537 450 for just the gearbox. Should be out soon/now.
The FCU has a tiny little joystick/clicky thing that allows you to toggle through the settings and adjust htings like how long the nozzle stays retracted, how long it stays forward prior to firing(chambering for heavier bb's), how long air is pushed into the barrel, an rps adjustment that you can use to limit your rps.
The rps is a cumulation of the above adjustments and the speed that your magazines can reliably feed the gun.
@vxa1537 Rip out the electrical system? That powers the FCU. You need that.
And the hose sits close to your body, not flopping around. It has the exact same chance of getting caught as any other piece of clothing. It easily expands so switching hands doesn't make that much of a difference.
@Gannon191 yes, and put that in the AEG. its possible from the looks of it. Connect the wires here and there should do it. I asked a couple of electrical engineers and they agree with me that its possible.
Yes It would make a difference, you will get that little pull on the pistol grip which could be annoying for some but might not be for others.
@vxa1537 Oh that's what you mean. I thought you meant take out the electrical system and still use the fusion engine. You still can't do it though, because the FCU is used to adjust your FPS, and ROF. On an AEG that's all determined by your parts.
@Gannon191 not necessary. Some people attached FET onto their AEG to get a full cycle every time they shoot. There are FET out there that can do a 3 round burst on semi. Sadly those FET are not as high tech as the FCU. So by replacing the FET with FCU, you will get same functionality that you would on Fusion engine in your AEG.
@vxa1537 There is one little trick that people might not be aware is that this FCU use very little power and SHOULD NOT be connected directly into the electrical system on AEG. It will destroy FCU almost instantly. You need to install this FCU as an attachment to the electrical system on AEG (e.g. every trigger pull FCU will allow some sort of micro switch to let certain current go through the system). Once i get my had on this Fusion gear box i'm sure its not hard to figure it out from there.
@vxa1537 Little thing to sum it up. Why would someone want to disassemble a 600$ with of airsoft equipment and put it in the old AEG system? Its simple. I heard of a couple of people over somewhere in Asia that they are working on Airsoft that is similar to this Fusion engine except you wont need gas tank nor gas tube nor the 3 moving gears just spring and AEG piston system. Its just a rumor that I heard. Dont quote me on this.
@Gannon191 Try switching from right to left shoulder, and all other tactical position that you would do in airsoft or real firearms and see if the hose get tangled up or not. CQB or outdoor in the woods the hose might get caught up and slows you down. Not saying this would happen all the time but the possibility is much higher than a regular AEG.
I like the idea, but not in a lighter gun like the M4. For something heavy like a 249, 240, M60, etc, it would work well because you would be less mobile with a SAW or LMG anyway, and the fact that you need to be attached to the gun from the tank probably would be a huge issue. For a lighter AR or Carbine (nevermind an even lighter SMG or PDW), it seems like the tube would inhibit movement too much.
@sc81kdeterb Because it connects to a hose that goes to a small tank on your back, a little bit larger than a softball. You can fit it in a back pack pocket.
About freaken time!!! The only thing I never liked about air soft was because of all the stupid little things that can brake and wear out so dang fast! That's why I always played paintball, and finally there taking some of the paintball technology and putting it into air soft genius!
Awsome but I have a question, since English is not my first language so what I understood is that this is only better than the regular gear box when it comes to moving parts but, Why do you still have to use the battrey ? Isn't this suppose to use air insted of electricty.....because in the end you can see a wire pluged into the pistol grip cable....Someone please explain...thx
@GBN121EUI476 the wire you see coming out the pistol grip is not a wire, but a tube that connects pressurized air or gas to the fusion engine. There is absolutely no or very little electricity used.
Ok, so this is the little brother to the Drozd Blackbird which is a BB gun that works the same with the noids and the air, the Drozd comes factory set for 1.3.6round burst fire, and takes afew nice little upgrades, incase anyones interested in an air powered sub machinegun of 1000 round/30 second 1200fps assault weapon go to drozdmax DOT COM
Idk, I really don't trust any system that uses gas over mechanics. Over time and money, I've found that my electric systems outlast any system working on gas. Maybe I've just had bad luck, but I'd still be pretty hard pressed to for over the money for this over a similarly priced aeg.
@vladnuke It's not gas. It's air. It lasts much longer than any AEG. There is literally nothing that AEG's have over this system other than the price.
@94705backyardairsoft It doesn't break, you can adjust it's ROF and FPS to literally almost anything you want, and doesn't have the crunchy sound of a gearbox.
If we really wanna argue about realism the setup this gun has to shoot is more inline with a real gun. You dont see real guns using gears and springs. This set up is a lot more realistic simply because it uses air to fire the bb. Which is the closest you can get to a real gun without it being a real gun.
This gun is awesome. I used to play paintball and I have a gun that uses this same technology, which I bought 3-4 years ago. It's great to finally see some of this technology introduced into airsoft. The only downside I see to this is that it is not blowback and has no recoil. Hopefully these guns will become more advanced in the future to feature blowback/recoil .
@MegaGrody There is no reason to hate the HPA tank. It weighs almost nothing, and the cord is exactly like having a sling. Most people never even notice. Plus the fact it will not break. Looking at AEG's after using this makes them look like an old black and white TV.
@Gannon191 i dont hate, its definitly a great idea, but it reminds me to much of paintball( which i love too) but it doesnt look as much like a real gun, thats what bothers me about it
@MegaGrody Looks pretty real to me. Most people won't even notice it. I'm picking one up as soon as my new VFC Scar's gearbox dies on me. I'm not even going to bother upgrading it or fixing it. Just going to get a fusion engine as soon as it breaks.
@Gannon191 very true, but i havent seen a pick of how big the airtank was, i would hate if there is one like the size of a paintball gun, it would riun the realisticness of the gun for me :(, but its definitly a great idea, if the tank isnt to big, and i can fit it into a cranestock of if they could move it to there, that would be awesome
@MegaGrody It depends on how big you want it. You're firing 6mm bb's, not .68 caliber balls. It takes a lot less air to fire than a paintball gun, so in theory you could run a small tank in your backpack or in a pouch on the back of your vest.
@Gannon191 thats true, but i would rather have a more realistic gun, that if it breaks, i wouldnt be super expensive to fix, and if one of the polar star guns breaks after the warenty, it might cost alot to fix it
@MegaGrody Nope. if the fusion engine breaks, which it almost certainly will not, you can buy new parts for the cost of a pack of gum. There is almost no stress on any parts because there are just 2 moving parts. The AEG is the gun that actually cost's a lot to fix.
@MegaGrody You have to try it, or at least see the stress tests. It's like they were smashing the car with a wrecking ball, and the wrecking ball broke instead.
@MegaGrody Just get the drop in fusion engine. All together with an air rig it cost's about 500. For that price it fills every single role of every single gun you have. I'm getting the fusion engine and then I'm going to buy an M249 to drop the fusion engine inbetween that and my scar depedending on which I want to use.
FUCK! why don't they make a custom small enough Co2 stank to fit into the buffer tube! im no master at this but its better than getting it snagged on trees and brush... if they can't they should definenly make use of an m16 solid stock(if they do make an m16) and have the gas line and once more a smaller custom air tank to fit it.
@Gannon191 let me explain... when I say custom, I mean small enough to fit into the buffer tube, or just make the crane stock like the ones on some paintball guns(big enough to fit a small co2 tank), either that or they could use just small c02 cartriges, the gun looks bulky and a crappy... lasts long but i'd rather pay 60$ a year to fix a small piece.
@Gannon191 yes i do... it doesnt even need to mimic a real one, check out milsig.com they sell custom paintball markers where the tank has the stock on it, and its still a retractable... if its a fixed stock it likely could fit one thats custom.
@MarineMike97 You don't seem to understand, most of those are proprietory, and that their invention is the fusion engine, not the PR15 as much. The Fusion engine is meant to be dropped into any V2 gun. it wouldn't work for my scar if it was to be in the buffer tube, because that's where the battery is. It's much easier just to have the hose, and then the tank. You can have any size tank you want, and you don't have to worry about where you're battery goes and space.
@Gannon191 so they can make an extremly complex gun, that is said to revolutionize airsoft in creating a 4th"gender" if you will and somehow they can not simply make an airtank small enough to fit into a place in the gun? that seems a LOT to ask of a gun that has been out for less than a year but i dont care too much if i wanted a big bulky airtank straped to me i woud play paintball... harsh yet i would say fair, the gun is already meant for high buyers, so why cant they simply make it smaller?
@MarineMike97 I'm looking at the buffer tube of my scar right now, There is only enough space with a lipo in to fit a tank about the size of my thumb. Then you have to put the regulator in, and it's a quarter length space.
@Gannon191 all i'm saying is i would expect more from a system like this, airsoft is supposed to be more leaning towards mil sim so if i'm going to have a remote line sticking out of my pistol grip and onto my back or a backpack
than it's A: going to be snagged on tree branches, brush, debris ect. and B: it starts to look like a paintball marker... notice how I said START.
@MarineMike97 Most people just convert the hose into a sling. In fact, that's what PolarStar recommends that you should do. The only reason they don't do it in promo videos is to show that there is a hose. Also, it' won't get snagged on branches. Most people have slings already, and they don't have that problem.
@Gannon191 i used to play paintball, and when i would be going through an extremly wooded area I'd get smoked because i'd get my remote line snagged, slings not too much, but the remote line i forget about and it would get snagged.
@MarineMike97 Possibly might just be you, because from every reviewer of it I've seen they've said it's never a problem and they forget they have it. It also might just be your woods and how they grow.
@Gannon191 you american likely right? I live in canada, shit is as dense as chuck norrises beard here, snipers paradise, the only kind of airsoft rifle with a remote line i would get is a gbb lmg but than again they costs more than a months rent down here.
@MarineMike97 Florida actually. I'm the little handle thing sticking off the bottom that looks a little like a penis. We only have new forests so it's not very dense, most trees only go straight up, then start branching.
@Gannon191 lucky bastard... i was actually there a few weeks ago, nice place, but too little airsoft places, I guess it really depends on your geological placing.
@Gannon191 i assume you would be living near orlando? I'd know b/c ive tried looking up airsoft places but there aint two things there: Jack and shit, and jack already left town.
@MarineMike97 No no, Orlando is Central Florida. I'm South, close to the beach. Most places are just mixed paintball and airsoft fields, and there aren't many.
@MarineMike97 Yep. I'm still trying to put together money for a good rig though. No point going to a milsim event or an amazing field upstate when I don't have a good rig together for it. I spend most of my money on my gun, and not my gear so basically all I wear are gloves, a vest and goggles, in a black T with jeans. What sucks even more is that I am one of the most unlucky people on the planet. When I got my Scar-H it was broken, so now I have to get that fixed by ASGI.
what is the thing hanging under the pistol grip?

@blubag I think GBB's are cool, and I hope to get an SMG GBB, but god the price of mags is just horrendous. to fill up my plate carrier I'd need to spend about 500, just for mags that hold 30 rounds!
Gannon191 4 months ago
@Gannon191 HELL YEAH that smg is a bad ass gun. However, my king arms gas mags are just $42 each which is more affordable than most gas mags...but I only need two or three. I don't go to sporting events or anything like that. Almost none of my friends are into airsoft, so two or three mags will be just fine for me.
blubag 4 months ago
@blubag Ah. I play with a couple of my friends the entire day, on extremely small fields with a shit ton of people. I go through my VFC scar-H mags( each carrying 200 rounds) by the end of most long games. I have 3 midcaps and 1 high cap that I don't use.
Gannon191 4 months ago
@blubag actually the gun can pretty much go as fast as your mags can feed ( at least 45 rps, which is already overkill) And the consistency from lack of moving parts offers accuracy up to 250 feet. Not to mention the INSANE trigger response.
cheetok1ng470 3 weeks ago
@blubag How can you be unimpressed if you don't even know the basic functions of the gun.
cheetok1ng470 3 weeks ago

USUALLY PARTS THAT BREAK ON AIRSOFT GUNS ARE LESS THAN 30$ AND COST 15-20$ FOR A TECHNITION TO FIX IT, REALLY, SO U MAKE SOMETHING THATS 600$ THAT (WONT BRAKE) Just STICK TO HOW AIRSOFT IS SUPPOSED TO BE!
exikuter1 5 months ago
@exikuter1 Supposed to be played? What? It has better internals than any AEG there is, and can function as any gun you want. It's also more consistent than any gun there is.

Anyways, does anyone knows how to adjust the ROF and other stuff on this fusion gear box thingy? Evike said that you can adjust the nozzle feed as well. Not sure how that could be done with 1 button on the little chip and when do they going to sell only just the fusion gear box? and how much would it cost??
vxa1537 5 months ago
@vxa1537 450 for just the gearbox. Should be out soon/now.
The FCU has a tiny little joystick/clicky thing that allows you to toggle through the settings and adjust htings like how long the nozzle stays retracted, how long it stays forward prior to firing(chambering for heavier bb's), how long air is pushed into the barrel, an rps adjustment that you can use to limit your rps.
The rps is a cumulation of the above adjustments and the speed that your magazines can reliably feed the gun.
btrules 5 months ago
@btrules ITS A JOYSTICK!?!?! DAM! this is awesome!!!! i like that..!
vxa1537 5 months ago
@vxa1537 its a solenoid hooked up to a circuit board i bet there are dip switches to program it like a paintball gun
larkin540 5 months ago
@vxa1537 Rip out the electrical system? That powers the FCU. You need that.
And the hose sits close to your body, not flopping around. It has the exact same chance of getting caught as any other piece of clothing. It easily expands so switching hands doesn't make that much of a difference.
Gannon191 5 months ago
@Gannon191 yes, and put that in the AEG. its possible from the looks of it. Connect the wires here and there should do it. I asked a couple of electrical engineers and they agree with me that its possible.
Yes It would make a difference, you will get that little pull on the pistol grip which could be annoying for some but might not be for others.
vxa1537 5 months ago
@vxa1537 Oh that's what you mean. I thought you meant take out the electrical system and still use the fusion engine. You still can't do it though, because the FCU is used to adjust your FPS, and ROF. On an AEG that's all determined by your parts.
Gannon191 5 months ago
@Gannon191 not necessary. Some people attached FET onto their AEG to get a full cycle every time they shoot. There are FET out there that can do a 3 round burst on semi. Sadly those FET are not as high tech as the FCU. So by replacing the FET with FCU, you will get same functionality that you would on Fusion engine in your AEG.
vxa1537 5 months ago
@vxa1537 There is one little trick that people might not be aware is that this FCU use very little power and SHOULD NOT be connected directly into the electrical system on AEG. It will destroy FCU almost instantly. You need to install this FCU as an attachment to the electrical system on AEG (e.g. every trigger pull FCU will allow some sort of micro switch to let certain current go through the system). Once i get my had on this Fusion gear box i'm sure its not hard to figure it out from there.
vxa1537 5 months ago
@vxa1537 Little thing to sum it up. Why would someone want to disassemble a 600$ with of airsoft equipment and put it in the old AEG system? Its simple. I heard of a couple of people over somewhere in Asia that they are working on Airsoft that is similar to this Fusion engine except you wont need gas tank nor gas tube nor the 3 moving gears just spring and AEG piston system. Its just a rumor that I heard. Dont quote me on this.

this may sound like a stupid question but does it still need a battery?
CoMmAnDeRF3AR 5 months ago
@CoMmAnDeRF3AR Yes, to power the FCU but it uses very very little power. One charge will literally last you weeks to months.
Gannon191 5 months ago
@Gannon191 Try switching from right to left shoulder, and all other tactical position that you would do in airsoft or real firearms and see if the hose get tangled up or not. CQB or outdoor in the woods the hose might get caught up and slows you down. Not saying this would happen all the time but the possibility is much higher than a regular AEG.
vxa1537 5 months ago
I like the idea, but not in a lighter gun like the M4. For something heavy like a 249, 240, M60, etc, it would work well because you would be less mobile with a SAW or LMG anyway, and the fact that you need to be attached to the gun from the tank probably would be a huge issue. For a lighter AR or Carbine (nevermind an even lighter SMG or PDW), it seems like the tube would inhibit movement too much.
GamesTSF 5 months ago
Why do they have that wire popping out of the pistol grip?
sc81kdeterb 5 months ago
@sc81kdeterb Because it connects to a hose that goes to a small tank on your back, a little bit larger than a softball. You can fit it in a back pack pocket.
Gannon191 5 months ago

Awsome but I have a question, since English is not my first language so what I understood is that this is only better than the regular gear box when it comes to moving parts but, Why do you still have to use the battrey ? Isn't this suppose to use air insted of electricty.....because in the end you can see a wire pluged into the pistol grip cable....Someone please explain...thx

@regentry549 but you still use the battery, right ??
GBN121EUI476 5 months ago
@GBN121EUI476 the wire you see coming out the pistol grip is not a wire, but a tube that connects pressurized air or gas to the fusion engine. There is absolutely no or very little electricity used.

now why isnt it blowback
ward0q1 6 months ago
Idk, I really don't trust any system that uses gas over mechanics. Over time and money, I've found that my electric systems outlast any system working on gas. Maybe I've just had bad luck, but I'd still be pretty hard pressed to for over the money for this over a similarly priced aeg.
vladnuke 6 months ago
@vladnuke It's not gas. It's air. It lasts much longer than any AEG. There is literally nothing that AEG's have over this system other than the price.

wait wtf? pressure air ?? that was what the first semi auto/full auto airsoft guns was powerd by right??
Malte97 6 months ago
If we really wanna argue about realism the setup this gun has to shoot is more inline with a real gun. You dont see real guns using gears and springs. This set up is a lot more realistic simply because it uses air to fire the bb. Which is the closest you can get to a real gun without it being a real gun.
dcccapfan 6 months ago
@dcccapfan Actually a GBBR with an open bolt conversion is the most realistic.
sargeantmalakian 6 months ago
This gun is awesome. I used to play paintball and I have a gun that uses this same technology, which I bought 3-4 years ago. It's great to finally see some of this technology introduced into airsoft. The only downside I see to this is that it is not blowback and has no recoil. Hopefully these guns will become more advanced in the future to feature blowback/recoil .

smart idea, but it doesn't seem like it can be upgraded like an AEG, which kinda sucks, if it does break, can it be fixed?
MegaGrody 7 months ago
@MegaGrody polar star airsoft has all the replacement parts
bennythepenny9 7 months ago
@MegaGrody There's no point in upgrading when you can literally change it's FPS to 700, or change it's ROF to 70 by pushing a button.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 u make a great point, but there is still things i dont like, especially the airtank
MegaGrody 6 months ago
@MegaGrody There is no reason to hate the HPA tank. It weighs almost nothing, and the cord is exactly like having a sling. Most people never even notice. Plus the fact it will not break. Looking at AEG's after using this makes them look like an old black and white TV.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 i dont hate, its definitly a great idea, but it reminds me to much of paintball( which i love too) but it doesnt look as much like a real gun, thats what bothers me about it
MegaGrody 6 months ago
@MegaGrody Looks pretty real to me. Most people won't even notice it. I'm picking one up as soon as my new VFC Scar's gearbox dies on me. I'm not even going to bother upgrading it or fixing it. Just going to get a fusion engine as soon as it breaks.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 very true, but i havent seen a pick of how big the airtank was, i would hate if there is one like the size of a paintball gun, it would riun the realisticness of the gun for me :(, but its definitly a great idea, if the tank isnt to big, and i can fit it into a cranestock of if they could move it to there, that would be awesome
MegaGrody 6 months ago
@MegaGrody It depends on how big you want it. You're firing 6mm bb's, not .68 caliber balls. It takes a lot less air to fire than a paintball gun, so in theory you could run a small tank in your backpack or in a pouch on the back of your vest.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 thats true, but i would rather have a more realistic gun, that if it breaks, i wouldnt be super expensive to fix, and if one of the polar star guns breaks after the warenty, it might cost alot to fix it
MegaGrody 6 months ago
@MegaGrody Nope. if the fusion engine breaks, which it almost certainly will not, you can buy new parts for the cost of a pack of gum. There is almost no stress on any parts because there are just 2 moving parts. The AEG is the gun that actually cost's a lot to fix.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 thats true, i respect your opinion on the gun, it definitly is a great invention, just not the gun for me
MegaGrody 6 months ago
@MegaGrody You have to try it, or at least see the stress tests. It's like they were smashing the car with a wrecking ball, and the wrecking ball broke instead.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 if i have an excess of money, i might, either this or a new KWA ERG, depends on the cost, but it probably wouldn't be my primary
MegaGrody 6 months ago
@MegaGrody Just get the drop in fusion engine. All together with an air rig it cost's about 500. For that price it fills every single role of every single gun you have. I'm getting the fusion engine and then I'm going to buy an M249 to drop the fusion engine inbetween that and my scar depedending on which I want to use.
Gannon191 6 months ago
FUCK! why don't they make a custom small enough Co2 stank to fit into the buffer tube! im no master at this but its better than getting it snagged on trees and brush... if they can't they should definenly make use of an m16 solid stock(if they do make an m16) and have the gas line and once more a smaller custom air tank to fit it.
MarineMike97 7 months ago
@MarineMike97 I don't think you understand how small the buffer tube is, plus, well, I don't know, BATTERIES go in there.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 let me explain... when I say custom, I mean small enough to fit into the buffer tube, or just make the crane stock like the ones on some paintball guns(big enough to fit a small co2 tank), either that or they could use just small c02 cartriges, the gun looks bulky and a crappy... lasts long but i'd rather pay 60$ a year to fix a small piece.
MarineMike97 6 months ago
@MarineMike97 It would be a pain to put in and out. Also, you have no idea how small a buffer tube is. It would be impossible to put in there.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 yes i do... it doesnt even need to mimic a real one, check out milsig.com they sell custom paintball markers where the tank has the stock on it, and its still a retractable... if its a fixed stock it likely could fit one thats custom.
MarineMike97 6 months ago
@MarineMike97 You don't seem to understand, most of those are proprietory, and that their invention is the fusion engine, not the PR15 as much. The Fusion engine is meant to be dropped into any V2 gun. it wouldn't work for my scar if it was to be in the buffer tube, because that's where the battery is. It's much easier just to have the hose, and then the tank. You can have any size tank you want, and you don't have to worry about where you're battery goes and space.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 so they can make an extremly complex gun, that is said to revolutionize airsoft in creating a 4th"gender" if you will and somehow they can not simply make an airtank small enough to fit into a place in the gun? that seems a LOT to ask of a gun that has been out for less than a year but i dont care too much if i wanted a big bulky airtank straped to me i woud play paintball... harsh yet i would say fair, the gun is already meant for high buyers, so why cant they simply make it smaller?
MarineMike97 6 months ago
@MarineMike97 I'm looking at the buffer tube of my scar right now, There is only enough space with a lipo in to fit a tank about the size of my thumb. Then you have to put the regulator in, and it's a quarter length space.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 all i'm saying is i would expect more from a system like this, airsoft is supposed to be more leaning towards mil sim so if i'm going to have a remote line sticking out of my pistol grip and onto my back or a backpack
than it's A: going to be snagged on tree branches, brush, debris ect. and B: it starts to look like a paintball marker... notice how I said START.
MarineMike97 6 months ago
@MarineMike97 Most people just convert the hose into a sling. In fact, that's what PolarStar recommends that you should do. The only reason they don't do it in promo videos is to show that there is a hose. Also, it' won't get snagged on branches. Most people have slings already, and they don't have that problem.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 i used to play paintball, and when i would be going through an extremly wooded area I'd get smoked because i'd get my remote line snagged, slings not too much, but the remote line i forget about and it would get snagged.
MarineMike97 6 months ago
@MarineMike97 Possibly might just be you, because from every reviewer of it I've seen they've said it's never a problem and they forget they have it. It also might just be your woods and how they grow.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 you american likely right? I live in canada, shit is as dense as chuck norrises beard here, snipers paradise, the only kind of airsoft rifle with a remote line i would get is a gbb lmg but than again they costs more than a months rent down here.
MarineMike97 6 months ago
@MarineMike97 Florida actually. I'm the little handle thing sticking off the bottom that looks a little like a penis. We only have new forests so it's not very dense, most trees only go straight up, then start branching.

@MarineMike97 No no, Orlando is Central Florida. I'm South, close to the beach. Most places are just mixed paintball and airsoft fields, and there aren't many.
Gannon191 6 months ago
@Gannon191 ooh that sucks! so your a few hours from the good places.
MarineMike97 6 months ago
@MarineMike97 Yep. I'm still trying to put together money for a good rig though. No point going to a milsim event or an amazing field upstate when I don't have a good rig together for it. I spend most of my money on my gun, and not my gear so basically all I wear are gloves, a vest and goggles, in a black T with jeans. What sucks even more is that I am one of the most unlucky people on the planet. When I got my Scar-H it was broken, so now I have to get that fixed by ASGI.
Gannon19
