  • Thinks it's from Norway

  • loud mother fucker

  • haha you here the nice clean vroom then fart prrrr lol

  • I watched it just to see how to use a jake break without moving....lol

  • thumbs up for the guy changing hats!

  • Mike and Kalvin 300th view.

    Sedalia,mo sittin at the house.

  • i want a sombrero lol

  • is that a caterpillar engine??

  • This is not jake braking it's just reving the engine..

  • @skatamasta ?? Um, no, there is definitely jake action there.

  • @skatamasta better listen, he has the jakes on, poppin after the rev

  • no if it activate and your on neutral without pressing the clutch the jake will come on like is do on vid when he drop off the pedal

  • as i know u can hear the jake brakes only with the truck rolling

  • Ouuh Yeah muhaha, I love it, maybe we have met on the road, could be one of the guys near the end of this video in my channel I pu here `cause I got sick how my fellow Germans brag about their wimpy trucks

  • What's the engine on that beast?

  • awesome just goes to show you dont laid and you gotta get your rock off by reving the piss outta your motor like a retard

  • sorry not 3150nm 3500nm of torque.

  • Nanometers? o_0

  • over here in the uk we have trucks called scania which come standard with 730hp and 3150nm of torque.

  • Wait, where's the jake braking?

  • Comment removed

  • @taitai907 The guy's name is jake?????

  • @taitai907 its a switch or more like switches.

  • where does that guy get the sombrero at the end, he just whips it out and throws it on

  • if its one of the bigger cat engines, something as simple as throwing a mid range twin turbo on it would produce 700 hp easily. w9? that trucks 475 to 550 horse stock. I drive a w9, several of them, and about everything else from volvo to petes. I know the difference, and how it can only be told when your yankin a big chunk of chi-town steel up mount eagle, or alabamy pine out of the hills on the top side of b-ham, w9 is the only way to fly

  • MEAN looking and sounding beast.

  • im a god damn trucker mutha fucker muthafuckin trucka

  • ser han e Norske, e du og da @Jobergg?

    Nice truck då :-P

  • whats done to it to make 700 horsepower??

  • @motor86obsessed truck motors are alot more powerful than any car motors because they have to haul to heavy as fuck trucks, its probably stock

  • @motor86obsessed proably ECM upgrade code

  • @ironstang74 there is no ECM on a NTC Cummins

    LMAO

  • Real American power! Looks like Norwegian licenceplates???

  • NICE W900 L i love that blue!

  • OHHHHHH!!! That turbo makes me cream jeans...

  • THAZ A SEXY ASS TRUCK YO

  • guy and girl dumbass

  • i love Kenworths

  • Whats a "jake brake"?

  • @wwwvisitaalborgcom A Jake Brake or Jacobs Brake is a compression braking mechanism installed on some Diesel engines. When activated, it opens exhaust valves in the cylinders, releasing the compressed air trapped in the cylinders, and slowing the vehicle. These devices are also referred to as compression release engine brakes. That is in a nut shell

  • @FireSide31 i thought it held the exhaust valve closed?

  • @mountainhunters It is open, that is why they are so loud with no exhaust on them, all that combustion is blowing out during the firing cycle.

  • @FireSide31

Okay, it`s the same system as Volvo and Scania here in Scandinavia are using, just called an Engine brake over here - very effecient!

  • @wwwvisitaalborgcom They do have a compression brake which doesn't work nearly as well as a well tuned Jake Brake does, but I'm not really sure how those work. I know that Mercedes & Mack used to use the compression brake.

  • @FireSide31 - Valves leding air in above the pistons, thats how volvo and scania works - let me tell you, in the Volvo`s i have been driving the last 15 years, work very well - there are 3 steps, and you DOESE`NT use step 2 and 3 with an empty trailer.... then you can easly do a involuntary donut and crash!

  • @wwwvisitaalborgcom I understand what you're saying,I didn't know what your trucks up there were like. I was just adding that down here on some lighter duty trucks they have compression brakes, which as far as I'm concerned, they don't work very well...

  • lakas ng huni ng turbo....

  • bet that rig would fly right up the pass by laramie on I-80

  • If you know nothing about big trucks (stantonaza),you should really keep your uneducated comments to yourself....

  • whata hell,is that my compadre kissing with a sombrero??

  • I love rigs... just an awesome piece of machinery, engineering and design.. beautiful rolling art!!

  • erm yea thats coz the 1 on the left is a woman

  • @batdude657 how come that woman's got a beard?

  • I've got a 1999 w900l in canada with a marine class detroit motor with over 1000hp,getting about 970 to the rear wheels, well over 2000ft-lbs of torque with a 18 speed double over drive trans and 3:36 ratio reear ends.and for pipes...8" straights with a resinator.

  • @jason5813 and my dick is 2 and half inch's long...... HARD!!

  • that is sexy

  • 700hp? i thought the biggest you american had was a cat 630hp, or is it unoriginal? I'm not sure i'm a norwegian:-p here in norway it's mostly Scania v8, where's the 620hp is the biggest v8

  • wooow rerecord someones video what a duschbag

  • If you guys knew as much as you thought you did, then you guys would've known that you can get a Cat well over 1,000 Horsepower. You can get a better flowing turbo, different cam, a better head, turbo wrap, and bigger injectors with bigger nozzels.

  • God forbid driving this monster on Norvegian roads!

  • i will say it again.. im a 100% sportbike rider, but i don't know why i love SO MUCH how the jake brake sounds, my respects to all truckers..

  • wow this truck is better than sex i would call this sex on wheels mmmmmmm yes yes yes

  • because if never seen a 700 hp motor on a truck if seen 550 cat motor on a w900 like this 1

  • this truck can't bee 700 hp i meen it could be a caterpila 550 but not 700

  • y not?

  • @vivita1968 could be 600

  • @vivita1968 i see trucks with more then 550 nearly every day...

    1200 can be done....

  • wow looks like these truckers at 1:42 are trading loads

  • Brokeback Trucking

  • 3406 better known as c15 now days can easily be 700 horse as well as the older 3406 b and c models or the 3408 no problem however there is no way that is a 3412 it would not fit in the truck those are used in the big mining trucks cat makes there are marine specs for the c 15 that set it for 800 horse i not only drive trucks i am cat certified on electronics and spent many years fixing cat engines.

  • WTF at 1:42?

  • @cksilverado1 mmm not sure......... lol

  • is this a gay truck rodeo? in mexico? or sumpthin? I need some tunage: where's rick astley when we need 'im?

  • Sweden

  • Nope, Norway look at the licenseplate!

  • The user who uploaded this video is swedish. Maybe was an international concentration in Sweden.

  • Yes I know, joberggs "callsign"

That may very well be a swedish outing, any way nice sounds! Could you please fill me in on the "jay brake"?

    /Lars

  • It's likely a 3412 Catty Kit , I'm pretty sure they were pushin 700 out of the box !

  • Can you please break down the Cat model numbers for me? Like I know Detroit is 12 cylinders, 71 cid per cylinder, etc. Thanks!

  • hey i think this guy is jaking off

  • What makes this truck 700 horsepower

  • @thezach01 sounds like fuckin vader

  • @thezach01 is the shit that comes outta my ass

  • @wannalayya lots of mods

  • the huge 16 or more liter engine makes it 700 hp, as well as some minor modifications

  • would he have to bore out the cylinders at a machine shop for that.I know the new detriots have 14 liter.

  • big diesel engine

  • um a 15 liter engine and two turbochargers. plus its a diesel so it already has power.

  • @wannalayya R...U..... just dum or what ?...Roadtrains in Auss..have to be no less than 700 HP by law.......Kenworth and Mack make them purpose built...from the factory.....up to 1200..HP...

  • ale dymek puszcza :D

  • Wikipedia

A compression release engine brake uses an extra lobe on the camshaft to open a second exhaust valve at the top of the compression stroke. The stem of this valve telescopes during normal operation so the valve remains closed, but is locked at full length by a solenoid when the engine brake is engaged so that the valve opens as directed by the cam. This releases the compressed air in the cylinder, thus preventing it from returning its energy back to the piston. Accordingly, engine drag

  • Anyone Notice the two truckies Kissing at 1.41 Odd or NOT

  • Man love?

  • @purdiekfjb the one on the left is a woman lol

  • I can only hope the one on the left is a woman

  • guy and girl pal

  • @purdiekfjb i bet them boys were jamming gears later

  • @purdiekfjb broke truck mountain

  • @purdiekfjb

    No homo?

  • @purdiekfjb

    Hes kissing a chick.

  • @purdiekfjb it's an older heavy set lady

  • @purdiekfjb LOL there probably faggies not truckies

  • @purdiekfjb Thats a woman, ot queers

  • @purdiekfjb

not realy shes just manly looking.

  • @purdiekfjb That's a man kissing his wife or gf dumbass

  • Hey, it's not that guys fault that the man in this video has a Ghastly manly wifey.

  • @purdiekfjb

yes i thing 50 or older

  • @purdiekfjb not really its a man and woman

  • @purdiekfjb They's "GOOD BUDDIES" & what not....

  • @purdiekfjb its a woman that he is kissin. i checked it out. def a woman.

  • axe28 is right. im a student 4 diesel tech right now. the jake brake(which is an internal comp. brake) holds the exaust valve open during the compression stroke. at the same time there is no fuel being introduced on that stroke

  • Hell with the jake brake, that turbo is what i want to hear.

  • do you know the difference between a jake brake and an exhaust brake???

  • you all have a lot to learn. a jake brake holds the exhaust valves closed so the building up compression slows down the piston to aid in the slowing of revs. the pulsing sound is the compression bleeding back into the intake. and the comment about the engine turning into an air pump is bullshit. diesel engines are not air pumps and cant be by design.i.e. the need for vacuum pumps to aid in operation. gas engines are air pumps.

  • Incorrect. A " Jake Brake" or compression release brake does not hold the exhaust valves closed. a secondary exhaust valve that is controlled by a solenoid opens when the jake brake is activated. this valve runs normally closed and run off the camshaft and opens at the top of the compression stroke when triggered by the solenoid. This air is released through the exhaust system

  • doesnt have to be a secondary exhaust valve. could be an electric over hydraulic pump that changes the timing of the exhaust to open at the top of the compression stroke, buddy.

  • You are correct. It does not have to be a secondary valve. It can be a secondary actuator of the original valve driven off the camshaft. The electric over hydraulic of which you describe is known as a "bleeder brake". It too releases compression but not with the staccato sound of a compression release brake. A bleeder brake is virtually silent and usually found on smaller diesels such as a DT466

  • no axe28trk is correct, look it up.

  • @hotrodan it does not hold the exhaust valves closed, it opens them, why dont you try pulling the valve cover off an engine sometime before you shoot off your mouth and show your ignorance. if you put compression backwards into the intake it would cause a catastrophic turbo failure from the pressure pushing backwards against it, it would fold the fins over.

  • you sir are WRONG!

  • yeah you have nice cars and races swedes. too bad muslims wont keep these traditions you have.

  • beautiful truck

  • women are beautiful trucks are cool

  • The Jake Brake, or Jacobs Brake is an exhaust valve retarder, it is switch activated. It holds open the exhaust valves longer to allow the compressed gases to escape, basically making the engine work in reverse, instead of generating power to the wheels, power is taken away through the entire drivetrain, via the engine exhaust brake...or something along those lines.

  • it holds the valve shut

  • Sorry dude, it OPENS the valve, allowing excess compression out of the engine, its like running the engine without fuel. The motion of the other cylinders provides the work to the empty cylinder to bleed excess energy from the system.

It turns the engine into a giant air pump, which in essence an engine already IS a giant air pump.

  • all internal combustion engines are THERMAL AIR PUMPS!!! I see no one here ever had a college physics class. Combustion (the burning of hydrocarbons in a compressed environment in this case) is a forced reaction. To release the power (braking in this case) physics in this case energy must be released. To do that a valve must be opened. Energy under force can not be reversed without grater force over riding the initial source. In this case a secondary larger turbo. So hotrodan needs to lean some.

  • it opens the exhaust valve just before top dead center of the compression stroke, allowing the enigne to work against the compressive forces of compressing the air, then it release the air so that the compressed air doesnt help push the cylinder down again by expanding.

  • your absolutely right i was gonna post it but you got it, to all my fellow truckers like me, roll on

  • For the truck newbies, like me.... what is a Jake Brake?

  • A Jake Brake is something, (I'm not sure if it is an eltric motor that does it or not), but when you let off the accelerator it hold's the the engine's exhaust valves open to help the truck stop when it's loaded.

  • Sorry I mispelled the "eltric" part. I meant to say "electric".

  • I drive one of these in Australia (a T904) and yes they are very powerful and VERY comfortable.

On average we use about 60 to 80 litres per 100kms. The fuel tanks hold 2,200 litres and last about 3 days of running.

  • wow.. i never knew that thank you for the info.

  • does anyone know a vast estimate about how much torque these big rigs havE?

  • they usually have more than 1500 ft-lbs of torque. Depending on what aftermarket mods have been done or what kind of tune i has, it could easily put out close to 3000 ft-lbs of torque

  • well a cat c-16 engine has 2050 . but thats the biggest engine they make.. you can find more.. but your average is 1700 - 2000

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that big rigs are only getting about 5-11 miles to gallon.

  • @hitower92, Cat has made a C32 and C18 and etc. Which you probally know about too.

  • turbo sounds nice

  • hat's off to the truckers!

  • What's its' range with full tanks?

  • wat a dumbass do you know anything about big rigs 50 miles my ass as being a truck driving i am imao right now a big rig can hold up to 400 gal's of fuel thats more then your car can hold in a year so take your ass to trucking school before talking about something you know nothing of p.s. have a nice day

  • so how far will it go?

  • try hundreds of miles

  • are you touched in the head, try about 600-1200 miles between fill-ups

  • I don't understand? Kenworth in a parking lot and everyone is staring because it's running? Very confused?

  • no because its a very nice truck

  • Its called a Truck Show.

  • what a tool u know how bad it is 2 rev it up and put the engine brake on when your not even moving

  • what is the biggest cat streight 6 engine in ci ,ccm pls anwer (auch in deutsch oder english egal)

  • the largest current on-highway cat straight 6 is the C15, it's 928 cubic inches, the older 3406E or C16 is about 965 cubic inches. These motors are able to be tuned to put from 475 hp up to 625 hp, go with the aftermarket mods and you can see over 2000+ hp!!

  • here in my country i drive 33 hrs.thats 1300 km.

  • in AMERICA i drove from detroit to nogales arizona 2000 miles(3200 km) in only 34 hours ..now how is that?

  • kkkkkkkkkkkk not with a big rig i guess

  • if a kenworth T2000 does not look like a truck to you ..then you are right

  • kkkkkk i just know one guy that can run that many miles in just one shot...one time i did 1200 in one shot anb boy...that killed me...

  • You average about 60 mph. That's how :)

  • Git r done lol. Biggest thing is to be safe and to get there!

  • Wow, was that on your own?. In the UK/europe driving hours are heavily regulated, unless you double man, and run it round the clock.

  • optimus prime has Jake breaks?

  • you do know that optimus prime is a peterbilt not a kenworth

  • yes i know lol

  • nope but probably a jake BRAKE

  • HAHAHAHHA KISSY KISSY MEXICAN HAHAHAH but thats badd ass for a kenworth and yea i think its a cat motor

  • what engine is it a cat?

  • how much hp do those truck have stock

  • Comment removed

  • yes you are

  • Looks likeit

  • is that 2 guys kissin at 1:41 ?

  • notice how the dude changes his hat right before the clip ends

  • horsepowers important in australia pulling roadtrains in heavy wind especially stock crates you need horsepower a truck with 4.89 gear ratios pulling roadtrains will give you 100 kilometres at 1900 revs a 4.11 ratio will give 100 at 1550 revs the 4.89 will hold top gear better because its getting its peak horsepower we have a w model with a 620 signature with 4.11 ratio and on a windy day with stock crates on you cant hold top gear even though at 1550 your getting you peak 2050 pound of torque

  • In Australia, do you guys make hauls across the continent, east to west? If so, how long does that take and do you guys have a highway system throughout the whole country similar to the one in the US?
