Data bus problem. Nearly impossible to diagnose. Probably why they changed the harness after they replaced all the modules. Chrysler is the WORST for this problem.
ABS related??..... Probably having to do with the rear wheel speed sensor or if its a 4 wheel ABS maybe the front wheel speed sensor... My speed sensor is going out intermittently and does the same thing.
Fairly simple fix, as long as you know which sensor is going out.
whats wrong is the trans control sensor is not putting out the right output to the computer you need to change the trans sensor and restart the computer its is so easy mine did the same thang but now its fixed
you should have demanded a new truck. how is it reasonable for it to sit 23 days? I thought lemon laws were, same problem 3 x in a year's time, refund.
buy a Ford F250 Supperduty, or a Peter Built, they last longer. we had a 97 Ford F250 heavy duty with Powerstroke diesel and we pute 200,000 mlies on it and its 14 years old.
Wheel speed sensor for sure! It'll be on one of your front wheels most likely on the hub you'll see a wire going from behind your hub back up into the wheel well, check the gap from the sensor to the tone ring might be too much of a gap
Seen this check ABS controller for moisture use dielectric on connector after drying out and reroute the ABS MODULE harness so water doesn't run into connector

ive heard of this issue on the 06-07 5.9's. never seen it on a 6.7. my 04 sometimes does it but the speedo and tach are still fine. just dings randomly lol
could be alternator harness. my brother has a 97 dodge 2500 and it does the exact same thing. it may not be the same thing but its something to check out
My friend had the same problem on his 02' Jeep Liberty, It's probably a bad set of wires. We replaced both the speed sensors and both ends of the wiring harness and it didn't fix it.
Problem ended up being a bad pair of wires in the wiring harness in the engine compartment. Two wires weren't holding voltage when tested on both ends. They replaced the harness and I've not seen the problem again in 40,000 miles.
I had the same problem with my 99 dakota, my dads 98 cummins and my moms durango. Remove the dash and use a compressed air can in the connector, push it back in that fixed my dads, on my dakota and my moms durango all of the screws that hold the gauges into the connector were loose or missing, the connector the the signals to the gauges is a push in and the power is separate so that's why the light for the odometer and other parts does not go off when everything loses signal. It is easy to fix.
I have a 2007 2500 with a Hemi. This same thing has happened to me. It happens to me when I use the Factory remote starter. If I dont use it, it does NOT do this. Therefore I just dont use the remote start feature on the key. When I took it to the Dodge Dealer, they read the computer and said there were too many error codes to list. If you still haven't had it fixed, it's going to be the speed sensor on the rear axle. It could be the connector, the sensor itself, or in the wiring. It is the speed sensor I fixed one at work the other day don't listen to these dumb fucks on here I would say about two of them on here even have a clue of what their talking about. Ford this dodge that chevy this they all have problems and they all are junk get over it till you learn how to make a good living on working on diesel engines the guys on here should shut the hell up and leave it to the real mechanics to fix the problems.
@FordNissanChevy i've been a diesel mechanics for 10 years and have owned and worked on my ford 6.0 the 7.3 was the only good diesel ford ever had. The 6.0 was nothin but a parts motor throw together.it was the biggest waste of time and money by ford they should of just stay with the 7.3 cuz fords diesels just SUCK 6.0/6.4/6.7 all junk and the new 6.7 is turning out to be the biggest waste of them all.
It looks like it maybe a speed sensor (bad) or (bad connection) and if you want it fix DON'T take it to a dodge dealership to get it fix they aren't diesel techs. If you want the truck to fall apart and be the biggest pain in the ass then trade in you dodge and buy a chevy I'm a diesel tech I work for j &d truck repair I've work on every thing from a chevy 2500 to 994 CAT loader there is not a better truck on the market for the money today then the dodge 2500/3500 cummins.
I had a 04 Ram 1500 with same problem......There is a spring in the steering column that is about 18 cents..it was recalled and make the spedo jump like that...had mine replaced or free and ran like a champ! MOPAR BABY ALL THE WAY!!!
oh my friend has the same problem its somthing wrong either two places my machenic told me cause it looks like when u push the gas u have to push it alot for it to start going could be a trani problem that u have or if it moves fine and its just the dash only u have a electric problem with ur computer and or wires

If you still haven't had it fixed, it's going to be the speed sensor on the rear axle. It could be the connector, the sensor itself, or in the wiring. If you get up to highway speed and try to set the cruise control, it probably won't engage. If it does, then look at the ABS sensors and wiring. Mine did the same thing, it was water in the connection on the rear axle for the speed sensor.
