Why the bitterness? Most people think life has to be serious, because god is serious. No life doesn't have to be serious at all.

I take the George Carlin approach. I got the first row tickets to a circus. Everything might go down the shitter, but now life is alright for most westerners.

He rants about first world problems and wants that people would be though like people in third world countries with lousy living standards. All he does is to complain. Enjoy the circus while you can!

This is my theory and I'm a British Muslim basically I'm an Arab born and raised speaking Arabic. Basically this is the way I see it life is made for suffering until the day we meet our maker that is when we have true happiness right because at the end of the day life is not normal without problems. I pray 5 times a day but I have experienced watching porn! I fast Ramadan a month but I have sexual urges! I am raised into sex after marriage not before!

I think that Savage really does make a legitimate point here. The reality of life for the average man or woman offers fleeting moments of happiness. Happiness is not a constant! The reality of living in the 'HERE AND NOW' i.e. paying bills, working, etc. - are not particularly pleasant aspects of life and yet we are bogged down with these things on a daily basis. Perhaps, happiness should'nt be the norm anyway - simply because we would'nt appreciate it as much when we experience it!

i believe the world is what you make of it if your depressed like him you'll become bitter, where as if you use positive thinking (bob proctor i think he's called) then you'll have a more 'happy' life, its not just about dealing with it, you gotta do something about it !

a little bit hypocritical to say he was drinking alone, and then says not to use drugs. Life is miserable and lonely for the most part, but controlled drug recreation makes it a little more pleasant.

@F0LL0WTHEWHITERABBIT I think what he's saying is that there are too many bad apples out there who screw things up for the good guys, and unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot that can be done about it. As much as I would like to see everybody move towards peace and harmony, it's a pipe dream, because there will always be evil bastards out there. Make the most of whatever fleeting moments of happiness you have in this life, but keep the focus on the next life.

Intolerant of people of any other religion or sexual orientation, critical of people whose jobs he could not do in a million years, acting as though he knows how this country actually functions when all of his degrees are in medicine and botany...this is Savage. If a man who preaches "life sucks and all we can do is deal with it" rather than "do something to make life better for yourself and others" is a blessing to mankind, we're in trouble.

Michael Savage is a narcissistic sociopath. He hates his life, and because he's so inwardly focused and unable to identify with other people (especially those who aren't straight Jewish males), he thinks that everyone really hates their life just as much. Looks like years of nothing but hate and bigotry finally caught up to him. If he were right, everyone below the poverty line and all of Africa would have committed suicide.
