Namaste! Me again! There is an interesting webpage called "20 Health Benefits of Turmeric" that is full of information about the benefits and properties of turmeric and there are also a lot of comments and tips from turmeric users. No, it is not my page! :)) In any case, since no links are allowed here on Youtube ......just Google it and check it out! :)) I wish you all a happy and healthy life! :))

Namaste! I have been using this system for about five years now and this capsule making device is just great! By the way, adding a bit of black pepper to the turmeric powder increases the potency of the turmeric enormously! The ratio is about 1/4 tsp black pepper to 1 tsp turmeric. My capsule size is 00 (holds 1/2 tsp) so that comes out to about 1/8 tsp black pepper for each capsule so I take two pills three times a day! No arthritis, no muscle pain, and great energy! :))

  • I thought to myself, I'll just mix it in water and drink the Turmeric! Oh boy was this a bad idea! Now I have yellow teeth! and its very hard to get them to the white shade they were before!

I will be doing the tablet thing. Much better! Also I have heard that its not as effective in tablet form? And That you need to mix it with warm water to be more absorbable and have a better effect. I figured, I'll just take it in Tablet form & drink it down with a cup of warm water or Tea :) Great vid, thx.

  • goodness...at least you know what you're getting...no fillers. good for you for taking the time.

  • I've been manually filling capsules with turmeric lately, & what a messy process that has been! I was just looking online to see whether they have machines for this.

I might just be insane, but it seems like of all my experiments to find supplements to ward off colds or make me feel better that the turmeric actually does help.

There's a capsule machine online (with a top tray) that claims to put the lids on for you, but I wonder how you turn them upside down without them all falling out.

  • That looks like more trouble than my system. I just put the turmeric into a bowl, open the capsule and scoop up the powder. Making sure to wear rubber gloves of course...lol. This way, you get the top of the capsule filled as well. Capping by hand is really easy as well. It just seems faster my way. Also...you can easily do it while watching videos :)

  • hello who can help me get this contraption for this capsule maker ?

  • @henniracik You can get it on Amazon for about $20.

  • interesting.. but, if i make this myself my ques is, how long,to i take capsules for, how much capsules a day should i take???

  • @Theldja75 I take one capsule every day and make new capsules roughly once each year. I make over 500 capsules each time and share them with a friend.

  • your supposed to add the magic ingredient....black pepper for the pepperine ingredient, and also wear gloves unless you want yellow stained fingers

  • can someone tell me where i can buy that from!!?

  • @gluejay I'm not sure where you're located but you can certainly buy the plastic machine on Amazon and I get the turmeric at a local bulk food shop. Good luck!

  • @tacticalexecution Thanks!! I live in Toronto...so I will just have to go check-out some of the "health food shop" then I can use your way and save my time.....Try grinding South Indian cinnamom in a coffee machine, and take it with a spoon full of pure organic honey...little bit of water, if necessary.

  • @gluejay

you can buy it on this site

    w w w . herbaffair . com

  • If the good part of the turmeric power is the curcumin and turmeric has only 3-5% curcumin wouldn't it be cheaper in the long run just to buy curcumin instead of all the mess? I do like the video

  • @thermax292 Wow. I didn't know about curcumin and will definitely look into it. Thanks for watching the video and posting your comment.

  • i keep hearing that you should add black pepper to the turmeric, might want to mix some of that into your bag too lol!

  • @wheelori814 That's a great idea. Thank you. I will give it a try. Thanks for watching!

  • What about making Turmeric capsules mixed with some black pepper? Any ideas on on other mixtures to help with things like absorption etc.?

  • @johnnycorvo I wonder if you add a little tumeric, a little powder milk, and a little black pepper if that would work. Since powder milk and black pepper help with absorption.

  • HOMEMADE, CAPSULE FILLING DEVICE

I use this for making my own nutritional supplements from bulk to pre-fill capsules (e.g. Fenugreek, or Methi powder, to hopefully, help lower blood pressure, etc).

Just cram many, separated, empty capsules (on their round end) in a slightly TILTED lid or cap (fairly deep = 1 to 2 cm, 3/4 inch) from a bottle or jar.

Fill packed down and cap off.

Normal spice jar lid, holds 30 empty capsules. (gel capsule size 00)

[YouTube blocked me positng here a photo link.]

  • thumbs up for pink floyd playing in the backround

  • what's the name of the device? and where we can buy it? thanks

  • @leophilippines It's called the Cap-M-Quik Capsule Filler and I bought mine at Whole Foods. It's also available on Amazon. I love that thing. It's worth every penny!

  • @tacticalexecution thank you for your reply. am planning to create my own herb capsule but am still processing....

  • Some health websites I've researched about Turmeric state that Turmeric capsules can't be properly digested to be of any real benefit...stating the spice has to be boiled for 10 minutes prior to using. What are your thoughts on this matter? Thanks!

  • @unclebob100 I'm not sure. I haven't heard those things myself and have been taking the pills daily for about two years now. It's hard to tell if it's doing anything or not but I remain happy with the product.

  • @tacticalexecution I've also read some info recently that states if you mix the Turmeric with Black Pepper, this increases the absorption rate by 2000% (two thousand percent) But no details on how much to use etc.

  • @unclebob100 Add 1/4 tsp Black Pepper to 1 tsp Turmeric, 1/2 tsp Black Pepper to 2 tsp Turmeric..

  • @unclebob100 Best way to get the benefits from turmeric is in a tea form. You are wasting your money if you buy it in capsule form.

I found this type of tea helps me alot!

    6 cups water

    1 tsp cinnamon

    1 tsp ginger

    1/2 cloves

    Bring to boil

    1 to 2 tsp Turmeric

    Honey or Lemon for Flavor!

  • @viviper006 That's a good way to take your turmeric. Be sure you use Ceylon cinnamon (C. verum) instead of the Cassia cinnamon they usually sell at the supermarket. (Cassia contains coumarin, which is mildly toxic.) I usually mix 2 teaspoons of turmeric with some melted coconut oil and simmer it with 1 1/2 cups of chicken broth, 4 slices of ginger root, and 1/4 tsp. of freshly ground black pepper for about 10 minutes. I definitely feel it working within minutes of drinking it.

  • @Ludlow889 Thanks for the advice on cinnamon. I will definitely try your version sounds good : )!!

  • @viviper006 Why does it not work in capsule form?

  • @nothing980454 Absorption.

  • @viviper006 That's not what I've read. Most of the good stuff in tumeric (such as curcumin) aren't water soluble (they're fat soluble) and a tea would not give you the health benefits you want. Not only that, but tumeric has a high oxalate content (oxalates cause kidney stones) which is 91% water soluble. So when you make the tea, you are getting almost all of the bad stuff and little of the good.

I'm interested to hear your response because I'm just looking for the healthiest way too. =)

  • @viviper006 A little black pepper helps absorb the benefits of tumeric as well.

  • @viviper006 Thanks for the tea recipe! :)

  • @viviper006 HOW LONG DO YOU BOIL THE TURMERIC FOR BROTHA

  • @VICKTHEBARBER Do not boil the Turmeric... Put Turmeric and honey/lemon in after boils. Let it set for 5-8min. Enjoy!

  • @unclebob100 This is true like Viviper006 stated capsules are a waste of money. Tea form is the best.

  • Im going to do the same, supplements are getting way to expensive when you can make your own with research and knowledge and a pocket full of hard earned cash going elsewhere not to these corrupt companies !

  • Here is a nice recipe that includes turmeric powder: Sauté chopped onions with oil, then add artichoke quarters from a can and then add tumeric powder liberally. Let is sit and simmer for 10 to 14 minutes. Stir occasionally. Delicious. Serve with bread or rice. You can add a little bit of butter and of course salt as desired. All ingridients at your local superstore.

  • *Taste of the spices... video* Is what I was trying to say on my gay phone ;)

  • Great video! I nearly died of laugher from the scene of my brother and I trying to swallow turmeric powder in milk with honey. The taste f the spiders with the sweet creamy milk is soo nasty!! Which brought me to your vie do :)

  • Nicely done...I just buy the capsules that are already made.

    Does this method save money?

  • @millions2nette Yes, it's WAY cheaper. These capsules cost me about two pennies each. Buying them is at least five times as much.

  • Where do I get the supplies to make the pills?

  • @gilbie38 I got all the supplies at Whole Foods.

  • Thanks, good video. However, I suggest taking the Bluetooth out of your ear. You are putting a source of radiation as close to your brain as you can. Evidence is mounting about brain cancer and cell phones. Be cautious. And yes, Bluetooths emit less radiation than a phone, but why take the chance?
