Imagine a country where every decent citizen couldn't own a gun, and every violent member of a gang had guns. We'd need more police to control crime. Just the possibility that a citizen may be armed, is reason for a thug to think twice before whipping out that gun.

umm, fyi, before virginia tech the two largest school shootings were in, get ready for this, Scottland and Germany, two countries with very strict gun laws. What about Canada, they have more guns than the US and appear to have no problems with gun violence or school shootings. Gun crime in DC was horrible, and hasn't improved in the 30 years the gun ban has been in effect so obviously it didn't work. The UK in on the track for facism, the US needs to watch and learn from the mistakes the UK made

Well FYI...the school shooting in Scotland was BEFORE the gun ban, and it was the cause of the gun ban itself! We learnt our lesson, and made sure it could never happen again. But in the US you literally get a new school massacre every year!
