Nanomage soldier works fine, especially if you have all expansions. There's a 5k absorb item that is nanomage only. Nanomage also get better nanoskills which means you can cast better reflects earlier. Nanomage is just as good at tanking as atrox or solitus soldiers. Only downside is that you can't equip a 300 eoe and it will be a bit harder to equip 300 symbiants too.

I have actually played this for quite awhile, but couldn't make it into highlvls..... Had an lvl 31 afro martial artist (Basically a black man with an afro hitting people with hands :P )..Great gameplay and everything (Some points just remember me of WoW..)...Damn my old computer exploded and my new computer just doesn't want to run it -.-

U are free to try anything. But some breeds need more work playing professions not 'designed' for them.

I have found Opifex, to be ok for a soldier too. :)

Nanomage have small HP , soldier must have large HP :) . The best for soldier is Atrox ^^ or Solitus .

Nanomage soldiers CAN be good, if you use ranged energy, and are pretty good at twinking.

But i'd still recommend trox+assault rifle or opifex+pistols :)

This game is 100% pure fun :P VERY HARD TO GET INTO AT FIRST this is the first free mmorpg who has kept me for quite a few years (im bad at sticking to 1 game) :P i only got to like lvl 73 tho was damn proud of my char Enf ftw!! Just take some time and learn (ACTUALLY READ THE TIPS!) i didnt so i lost out :l but after a few months i managed to Start playing for real... damn Subway Totw evrything was so fun in f2p!

Thing about anarchy online, is that yes, it'll take some time to get into, and yes it is very complex. But its the complexity that really makes the game.

Learning about things in this game is an adventure in itself. :)

Graphics are good, Hypercam 2 fails at recording ^^, this is a 7 year-old game btw.. Great graphics for that old of a game.. and any REAL gamer wouldn't care about graphics, they'd like the Gameplay..

Oh, I just noticed you didn't check out my favorite part of the game: Dynas. Remember those boss guys on nub island? There are TONS of them in the actual game (as in outside nub island). Tons of great loot and great EXP.

This is one of the best MMORPG's I've played. The leveling isn't hard (if you're in a party) and the buffs/twinks work great and are actually woven into the game as an intricate part. Also, there are like, a million items (and I'm being literal) I can't wait until the new engine.

Nanomage is a Nano oriented breed, if you pick up soldier again, try out atrox or solitus :)

A soldier isn't a Nanoprofession such as nanotechnician...

A soldier uses a big assault rifle and ownz every one with his strength ;p

Things i know about mmorpg.You have to play only one for long time to get 100% knowledge about it, than play others to compare & only than you can rate it. Mmorpg is not about visuals(which is only

thing they show to attract players) its about skills, equip & stuff. I have not tryed free mmorpgs(like rappelz) but as far as i know they are no match for purchaseable mmorpgs. And yea its all about taste, i like AO better than WOW. AO is old & have minusses, i hope they make new & good sci-fi soon

In my opinion, people who play from ten in the morning to midnight every damn day is addicted. And a lot, i mean A LOT, of those who play AO do that. AO is different from WoW and hasnt been so famous for that because older people like the sci-fi style and can cope with the extremely unsatisfying UI and comprehend the depth of the story.

Kids play wow, kids get addicted, parents blame blizzard, parents call newspapers/tv-channels.
