Microgreens must be a new concept for most people. They are not sprouts. In age, they are after sprouts and before baby plants. they are harvested around 10-12 days old. Most can be grown on an artificial media but some do better in a soil media. I'm sure people have been doing this for ages but I first found out and tried this from growing micro greens dot com
Go to Mypatriotsupplycom. Pick up a $15 sprouter. fill it with seed. set it in a corner of your kitchen. Crook pot and light bulb unnessesary. Have fun with your srouts.
I've never seen anyone try to grow microgreens on that "baby's blanket" medium. I think you should really be using a thin layer of potting soil instead. Also, your seeds should be covered with about 1/8-inch of the soil, rather than just sitting on top like that. The seeds themselves should not be exposed to all that light until after they have sprouted and popped up through the growing medium. You should see much better germination and faster growth with the potting soil.
nice setup but i think the crock pot is kind of a waste of energy. just keep the medium moist and that's all the water plants need. micro greens are tasty aren't they. if you haven't bought one yet, get an easy sprout. best $12 i've ever spent. they will sprout anything!

@duwbryd My trays are full of greens. I'm not sure what you are doing but it is great that you are trying.

you should not grow spouts in the sun, by day 5 they should be 3 inches long if you grow them in the dark or normal house lighting.
