Yes, I made the video in March when I had only been here for 3 months. I have since been laughed at a lot - although if you say it in Spanish thats the way it should be pronounced! We Americanos just butcher it...

wordli, as a native Spanish speaker I appreciate that you made the effort to pronounce the Spanish words as accurate as possible. That speaks of a person that cares about other cultures. I agree; I moved here from L.A., and the way they pronounce things up here drives me nuts. Especially "Vallejo," where they pronounce the L but still make the J an H. If they're going to half-mispronounce it, why "valeho" instead of "vayejo??"

I've decided that as long as people pronounce it "valeho," I'm pronouncing McAllister as "mcayister."
