paul gilbert only use human capo because he wants the best sound quality rather than just showing off that he can play the song. at that level, he does not have to prove himself anymore because he probly be able to do almost everything on the guitar, plus, i think he uses the human capo to entertain people.

This twelve year old is truely amazing at what he does! I appreciate his dedication to this wonderful instrument at a very young age! He will definitely go far as long as he continues to have a passsion for music. On another note, people should really not underestimate Paul Gilbert and assume that he can't play his OWN song without a human capo. Really people? Let's not be ignorant. @KingTabor Why do you think he couldn't do the song this way. Many of the pro guitarists don't show all of their shred skills when they play. I'm sure Paul Gilbert could do that easily. Because he's a very good guitarist, one of the most skilled guitarists. It's just great that he doesn't show all of his skills. That shows he's a musician, not a poser. Paul has no trouble playing much of anything. He's not to strong in the fusion field, but to say he'd have trouble playing it like this is most likely incorrect. This just proves that you can accomplish anything you want to, with time and dedication. Anton is awesome.

Paul gilbert officially got 1uped. He made a guitar and tuning specifically to do this because it was too difficult to nail the natural way, and even LIVE he uses a human capo. This kid is absurd. He either needs more, or less drugs. I'm not sure which.

I can say that I have that much musical knowledge to say that this kid is not the best guitarist. this is a perfect cover but that is it. He mastered a few techinques at young age, so what? he's not the first one who did that. He doesn't have his own style and just because he can cover songs perfectly doesn't make him the best cause it's harder to write songs like get out of my yard out of nothing than cover it.
