people make this sound bad like it was the horse's fault, i bet it wasn't 99% of the time the horse is spooked, scared or just nervous and will try to get away the best it can and they didn't explain what happened at the accident so no one who watches this knows how it really happened but my guess is that the horse spooked, tripped or fell and stepped on her by accident, i hope she is ok!!!!

ah memories. I came off an ex race horse i was hacking out on my own last month on the 18th. she just bolted and went and i blacked out and came off. Woke up to all these people to find out i was paralyzed. But thank god the feeling of my legs came back. had to be airlifted to hospital half an hour away by car, 10 by helicopter. i hate flying and they were feeding me morphine which i am allergic to :p so bad time. and then found out i had a broken spine and had to stay in hospital 4 10days :(

The air ambulance is truely a blessing, They came to a young 8 yr old gir,l at my old yard, when she fell and was trodden on by her horse, sadly she didn't survive, We now raise money for the air ambulance as often as we can.

@parellijumper99 was it STARS or a different thing, STARS has max capacity of four people. patient, medic, pilot, copilot. So maybe that's why, I'm sure STARS isn't the only one like that and maybe they require a medic for her beacause the only reason she was lifted out was because of the remote location.

And poor girl.. hopefully she had no serious head trauma.

I get the feeling it wasn't the severity of the injury that got the helicopter ride for her... but the location of her fall that nessesitated the air lift to get her to the hospital in a timely fashion ( you can't got over many miles of bumpy country roads in an ambulance with any kind of injury and come out better... hence the helicoper , I believe )

I haven't had any bad falls. the worst i've done is fallen on my head and lost all memory of the accident and the hours that followed. i'm glad i haven't broken any bones riding. that poor girl i hope she is ok. how embarrasing to have it shown on tv and the internet. i think i would die if i were her going back to school and stuff.
