Alpina B8 is a BMW E36 Coupe with V8 engine, is it? It has some beautiful torque and bhp, not as fast as the Ferrari but notortoise either, as it can be seen in the vid, when both cars start to accelerate, the Ferrari needs several seconds to pass the Alpina, surely due to more torque at midrange than the Ferrara, that needs to drop gear or build up revs to deliver to be on powerband. Indeed, very impressive sound from Ferrari engines! Some don't like, but it is very race-like :)

Alpina B8 is based on BMW E36. Has a 4.6 V8, 333 bhp, engine derived from that of 545i. The Alpina B7 I think it is based on 7-Series.

alpinas are in fact worse than normal BMW series...they take it to the limit of simplicity wich dosent work with motheren cars...for instance in the b7 they replace an exelent hi-tech differential of a basic 7 series with a normal lock diferential+ adding more horsepower= disaster
