whenever i burn cds with the tascam, i cant play them on my laptop. i'm using cd-rs...is there different methods of conversion idk about. PLEASE HELP!!!
David youre super cool but ProAudio wont send the registry code to my Email? Also would you endorse the VGA upgrade from the U.K.? Its pretty expensive when you consider the warranty voiding! RKS rksguit@hotmail.com
I have a 2488neo and I cant get the drums tuned in right. My snare keeps clicking even at low trim settings. I figured there was something on the console I can adjust, but I just got it. Any suggestions?
@fatcatbuzz have the original 2488 and record at 48000 htz and 24 bit. It is as clean as you sound. What you play is what you get. The tascam is easy to learn and you can master your recordings pre and post. Comparing it to my Behringer ADA8000 using lightpipe into a AudigyPro Sound card it compares almost seamlessly. Either is 24 bit and sound crystal clear. The 2488 is better for a beginner, I use ProTools, Sonar, SoundForge, Acid, Abelton, Cubase and midi programs. I spent 4x more for those.
Does anyone know the how the sound quality differs from these units compared to computer based program such as Protools? Is there a noticable difference? I only ask because the sampling rate is a little lower on these machines. But, I still have my cassette machines and am happy to use it, though I want to get into the digital realm. I have used Protool, but don't like mixing with a mouse (it is time consuming) and would rather use faders.
friend recorded my band, I made a payment on a DVD that tascam 2488 dvd in the talks and put the music on cd longer even the dvd cd ... it does not have any way to over ride this work to put on cd? Forgive my English
Now I have 24 tracks. What more do I want? Simple.Ever eat soup that had every kind of spice? NO ONE WILL EAT IT. Keep it simple, the song sounds good.LEAVE it at that or your minestrone will sit in the fridge, till your wife throws it out. My ear's eyeball doesn't want to tire itself trying to focus on all your sound effects and filler. OVERTRACKERS ANONYMOUS is a real cure for a real problem: button-happy, over-indulgence. Your song is FINISHED, LEAVE IT ALONE. KNOW WHEN TO STOP!
