Yes Helvetica is expensive. Probably the reason why Mac OS X has Helvetica, and Windows only has Arial. Arial been the cheap imposter for Helvetica.

Arial ISN'T Helvetical. Arial is a "Helvetica inspired" typeface, but it's not really all that similar. It's actually closer to Univers than Helvetica in some of the letter forms.
