  • Shit. This dude can sing

  • Good voice man!!! good luck!!

  • Awesome! *0* I'm female and I've always wanted to sing with a raspy voice...

  • I Want Sing How Myles Kennedy =D

  • will doing all the yelling and everything hurt my vocal chords? cause i would love to sing like dave grohl! but not at the expense of my vocals

  • @SuperAmazingsinger If you don't know what you are doing it will hurt you

  • Is it possible to sing songs from linkin park for a Lyric bass singer?

  • @1029944 yes it is

  • sometimes remeber me of jerry cantrell.

  • Hahahaha this guy move's like in stomp motion

  • I front a rock band, would love to take some lessons sometime!

  • really doubt you can learn neither sing like DAN MCCAFFERTY,OR,NODDY HOLDDER.ITS NOTHING REALLY LIKE BRIAN JOHNSON OR PLANT...EVEN SOMETHIMES MAY BE LITTLE A LIKE.ITS ANOTHER WAY,ANOTHER TIMBER,POWER.DAN IS SINGER OF NAZARETH.TRY,SHAPES OF THINGS LIVE VERSION,OR BEGGERS DAY,OR TELEGRAM,ALL IN THE LIVE STILE..LOL.BUT IF YOU DID GOT MY DEEPEST RESPECT REALLY. DIO TOO,MASTER OF INSANITY.KLAUSMEINE...VIRGIN KILLER,CATCH YOUR TRAIN,TO FINISH JOHN FOGERTY, HIDE AWAY.CAN HANDLE?NOT OFENCE ,JUST CURIOUS

  • hey ken dose the program work for gospel, blues, bluegrass, and country( old school and new)

  • @MDorden86 that is my specialty :-)

  • @kentamplin do you happen to have a few clips

  • I think this is definitely your best style of singing Ken. Great job. I think you should do a 'how to sing like Paul McCartney' performing either Oh Darlin' or Helter Skelter. That would be very interesting. He's pushing 70 and still has a great rock vocal. Would love your opinion.

  • u should do how to sing like layne staley i doubt that even possible ...hes the best vocal i ever heard in my life

  • Kens been around for many years and I can say as a vocalist for 30 years Ken is a master at what he does..

  • I just want to say thanks for uploading such good quality videos. I don't consider myself a singer (I'm more the guitar player/mumbly backing vocal type), but your videos are really inspiring to watch. Cheers!

  • r u in front of a green screen

  • @NatesRockMusic ha ha ...no

  • @kentamplin idk y just when you move it looks as such

  • @NatesRockMusic you see that purple dual rectifier in the background? It's mone and it is purple crushed velvet. There is no other one in the world like it... :-)

  • @kentamplin BEUTIFUL

  • awesome doode!

  • well done bro , great song cover

  • @alexcravenator thanks it's actually an origina song...

  • @kentamplin can you record this? really want this on itunes ect!

  • @theclashbat what do you mean, I did reocrd this including the music

  • honestly, the beginning sounded more like daughtry then your daughtry cover. very nice job

  • that was amazing! you sounded just lick Chris in some parts! great job! also, there were some moments were i could hear Dave Grohl but i didnt manage to recognize M.Shadows's singing...maybe the raspy singing? anywas... NICE ONE!

  • In your opinion...and to your knowledge...Is it possible for anyone to "scream" or have that raspy voice and develop it over time, or is it a skill you are or are not born with?

  • @lespaul98 scream is very dangerous unless you know exactly what you are doing and have built up the mechanism to supprot scream

  • He is good but this is not a ''how to"...

  • @TheBRYAN1582 guys, it's meant to show the "kind" of belting and glottal compression required to sing like Grohl and Kennedy (that I teach at my vocal academy). I got tired of doing covers of everyone so I decided to do an original song for a change

  • Very good song , and very good performence by the way ... But i think it's not like the same Dave grohl ... Maybe Chris cornell's something , the same interpretation of this album ( Audioslave - revelations 2006 ) . but really when i listen to you singing the first time , your voice remember me " Ian Astbury " when he is singing " GHOST " with slash .

  • @simo99911 yeah it is a little more like Chris.

My emphasis was on the constant belting in the mid section of the voice. especially around the A 4

  • @kentamplin

Yeah ... the A 4 just like MAN IN THE BOX ( ALICE IN CHAINS )

  • i need a tutorial for this... singing walk by the foos is impossible without screaming

  • @TheNameIsPascal - I'm sorry and you would know good and bad vocal technique how exactly? Your vocal covers are nothing but very low growling/screaming that lack any musicality or they are VERY off key attempts to sing Nirvana. For someone who can't even sing Nirvana - you really don't have a place to criticize anyone's vocal technique.

  • @TheNameIsPascal Hmmm I have over 30 CD's, have more than 700 songs in feature films and TV, have sung on every imaginable TV commercial from Ford to Pepsi to Taco Bell (four superbowl commercials) etc. etc, toured the world many times over 25 years singing night after night, and spending about a half million dollars on my voice with some of the world's finest vocal coaches, being 48 years old and still at the top of my game - I might know a thing or 2 about the voice :-)

  • where is the tutorial for this??

  • @camprey it's coming...this was the demonstration

  • @kentamplin My God man.. you can sing... lol.. Can I send you a sample of my voice to get your opinion on where to start with your program.. etc.

  • @DavidRocano sure ktvainfo@gmail.com

  • This is good example of the first two singers mentioned in the title.... But NOT Myles Kennedy... Myles very rarely uses that raspy sound that both David and Chris use.... Good voice anyway... the only thing is a bit of throat tension that you should get rid of, in my opinion. Raspy voice is possible even with much less tension than that. Keep it up! ;)

  • @Jailbreaker91 Myles, Chris and I use the same technique. I don't think Grohl has studied the voice...

I like a raspier sound. Not M Shadows raspy but Coverdale - Paul Rogers raspy...

  • @kentamplin Yeah, i'm not saying that your rasp is metal rather than hard rock, but Myles technique is a totally different stuff, expecially on high-notes. he doesn't use a belted mix, he doesn't use rasp. He sings in a very powerful and "operatic-like" head/mixed tone. Soft palate and things like that... Nothing, really nothing to do with Chris Cornell or Coverdale.

  • @Jailbreaker91 what you don't know is we all 3 studied under the same vocal coach. I have studied with many yues of course but the actual technique we all 3 use is the same. I happen to like more rasp and compression....so using the same technique I apply more glottal compression (as does Chris) Myles back in the day was more concerned with range...I was more concerned with sould / compression and a bit more rasp

  • @kentamplin ok, now i've got it!!:)

  • @kentamplin Grohl has pretty good natural talent (he has improved A LOT), I agree with you about these though.

Adding rasp is tricky without running through a risk of hurting your voice.

  • is there anyway to get an mp3 of this song?

  • @ryanm359 there is a web site that does youtube to mp3 you can get it that way

  • @kentamplin do you know whats its called? is that not illegal?

  • I really want to sing as good as you. You see my dream is to be a singer when I get older, but I don't know if I'm singing correctly or anything >.< Help Anyone?

  • @asiankangster it's crucial that you find a good vocal coach

  • Real nice singing Ken.

  • @VIDEOHEREBOB Thanks Bob,

My nexy one is a ballad on how to sing like Lou Gramm, Since I know what Lou Gramm fan you are from your posts. I'll put it up next week :-) -KT

  • @kentamplin If I may ask for a particular vocal masterpiece of his, it would be "Heaven on our side." If possible.

  • @VIDEOHEREBOB I have a piece already I want to record. It's an original piece.... Maybe I can do that one at a later time...

  • When is there a new album Ken?

  • @tufnel1970 yes :-) very soon

  • Wow, that was really good. Does your material teach how to sing like that? Glottal compression, I believe is what you said you're doing?

  • @BURNINGRIOT yes

  • It doesn't get any better than this!! Mind blowing!
