I love that lighthouse!!! America's tallest!!! And also it is the worlds tallest BRICK lighthouse. It was the first lighthouse I ever climbed.

I love this place... I haven't been up inside it since it was moved, and I probably should go, I just never get a chance and it's SO hot in the summer... to be inside there and all. I know it's worth it though. It's absolutely stunning. I love that place. I want to reach out and grab the water or jump in and fish at the point... Ah, memories.

I havn't been there since 1999. It was my 5th birthday. That night I also saw the Bodien Island Lighthouse shining at night. Because of how long it took for the light to come back on (more than 20 seconds), I thought there was something wrong with it. At that age I didn't know that lighthouses had different characteristics.
