  • Kishore Kumar is the stuff legends are made of.... and Asha Bhosle.... shes a goddess! She just takes this song to another level!

  • QUICK!! GIMME A GUN WITH 10 BULLETS!!!!

  • oh GOD....how badly I miss these legends.

  • hey dude

  • In my experience, with all due respect to bengalis, all the diehard fans of Kumar Sanu happen to be bongs..they would simply support anything and everything bengali, even if its cacophony to the rest of humanity..:(

  • Guys..those who equate Kumar Sanu with Kishoreda/Rafi are either tone-deaf, or do not have an ear for good music..name any song where Sanu has shown even an iota of versatility. The same damn irritating nasal voice for every song..Sonu Nigam can still be counted as a very very good singer, but certainly not Kumar Sanu..

  • evergreen RD

  • Kishore da rocks!!!!!!!!!

  • K. sanu and Udit N. don't and never belong to Kishore, Rafi league or class. These Sanu and Udit are just good singers but nothing extraordinary or versatile like Kishore.

  • OMG, jaya! :D:D:D

    soo young! :D

  • Remove KumarSanu & Udit Narayan from the list and add legend MannaDey Bcoz Udit Narayan , Kumara sanu & other like Sonu Nigam etc. singing nice but they have some limitation...they can not count in row of legendry singers of indian cinema.

  • too bad...their children not fated to b together!didnt know kapoor's family r materialistic!anyway abhi r ugly creature,so its okay to turn him down!

  • love this song

  • Tony Vaz playing Bass on this song just wonderful!

  • All the negative things being mentioned about Lata are all a sign of being a "buzdil" of course Lata was the best and she had all the rights to enjoy her priviledges of being all powerful...it was a fair game...its called a capitalist mentality. The movie producers were not forced to hire her...were they? no!..she was always selected because she was good! We need more competitive attitude in men and women of INdia....ofcourse it goes without saying...they should be honest and without bribery.

  • interesting to see that somebody thought it was prudent to add Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan in the list that has Rafi, Mukesh and Kishore!

  • why not?? because they are newer they cant be as good? thats complete rubbish. its an illogical concept that a lot of ppl seem to have. Older songs and singers are different and have their own appeal. Similarly newer songs and singers also have their own appeal, which is no less. As far as the singers go, on the whole the talent has been kept up, and more competition has arrived.

  • I have much less respect for Lata, Kishore, etc than most Indians have because I know that they competed in an unfair market. The doors were closed to the vast majority of upcoming singers in those days and so you would never know if these great artists were really unique or if there were others at that level that you simply couldnt hear because record labels wouldnt let them.

  • @shushanto I had also read in many film magazines that some good singers like Suman Kalayanpur, Sudha malhotra, Sulkashana Pandit could not excel in the film industry inspite of having great talent.

  • Lata for instance was a real nasty piece of work because she insisted that she and her sister be the only female playback singers in bollywood. And she got her way because the record labels werent prepared to lose the business. Which is why there are almost no other famous Hindi adhanik singers from that time in the movies.

This favouritism/nepotism is a classic feature of Indian politics in all walks of life. When it comes to the money, talent is not as big a factor as who you know.

  • There is a other crappy song there with same title, But that shit Amitav ( who posted song) says its original. PLEASE FLAG that as SPAM and have youtube remove it.

Its insult of RD , Kishore and Asha.

  • Went to a concert by Amit Kumar a few years ago. He sang this song with an unknown female singer. It was amazing. I can only imagine what it would have been like to listen to the original by the masters, Kishore and Asha.

  • Thanks a lot Dr. Prasad for posting this melodious song. This song refreshes one's mind and soul due to its music. Just imagine this song was composed by RD so many years back and even today people enjoy it!!!!

  • bappi lehri was inly good for about 1 or 2 songs all rest of his songs were rubbish

  • RDB was down during 80s when Bappi Lahiri entered the film world but today Bappi lahiri is faded and RDB stands in everybody's heart. Credit should go to his styple of adopting the music and it was very timely then. Very unfortunate we do not have any old MDs, singers today..

  • love it thanks for posting

  • This is another master piece of R D Burman, this man had great talent, I don't think anyone else can match his quality. His compositions take you in a different world. R D Burman a music genius, no question about that.

    RD Burman

    Mohammad Rafi

    Kishore Kumar

    Mukesh

    kumar sanu

    and udit narayan

    MEN OF LEGEND!

  • Comment removed

  • @aakashba Add Manna Dey to the list

  • @arkac99 and don't forget Mahendra kapoor....

  • @aakashba Udit Narayan is from Nepal.

  • @aakashba

kumar sanu before udit !! MY FUKING ARSSS !!! kumar copies kishor kumar !! his voice make me sik after 2000s !! its all bout

    Rafi

    Kishor

    Udit

  • @kutaibakhalid oh man i could never number these guys :P they r all legends i dare not rank them!

  • you're full of shit. thats just some stupid rumour spread by backward indians who like to think that new talent is always worse than old talent. kumar sanu's voice sounds ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like kishore kumar. I'm not saying it's better or worse, its different. kumar sanu is one of my personal favourites, but different people like different things. whatever it is, kishore kumar and kumar sanu have no similarities whatsoever. kumar sanu and kishore kumar are both from my hometown kolkata.

  • @shushanto oh stfu man!! bout 80 percent of pop says he mimic kishors voice. also the fact is he sings with is nose

  • Yea that's what PEOPLE say. That's what you've heard. People SAY he copies Kishore, and people say he has a nasal voice, simply because the people who started that rumour were dedicated kishore fans who were jealous of kumar sanu taking the glory after kishore's death.

there is absolutely no audible evidence that either of those statements is true. If you listen to him, then you won't be able to hear one bit of similarity between them, and you won't hear the slightest hint of a nasal tone

  • @kutaibakhalid

In fact Kumar Sanu has quite a deep voice (as opposed to kishore's light voice) and is quite the opposite of nasal. I'm not trying to say that Sanu is better than Kishore, although I personally prefer Sanu.

In your ranking of the great singers you forgot to mention Manna Dey, who is undoubtedbly the champion of Indian semi-classical. Only Rafi comes close, and more recently Rahat, who is a similar type of singer, but higher pitch and not as good.

  • @shushanto nhi yar believe me after 2000s kumars voice was just ruined. and as we can all see the song he sang as a different version of UDit which are no way near UDIT JI !!

all am tryyna say that during 90s and after 90s its udit who is a greatest singer ever came in bollywood. and RAFI Sahab is the best of all time anyway.

  • Ruined?? I went to his concert here in London last year. He and Alka Yagnik did a 2 hour performance. It was amazing. His voice was as good as any other voice I've ever heard. Not even the slightiest hint of deterioration even at this age (53). It was so deep, clear and powerful. And so much energy. His lungs and vocal cords have limitless power, its almost superhuman.

I love udit naryan too and i think he's amazing. But he is DIFFERENT to kumar sanu. When someone is different you cant compare

  • @shushanto true !! buh all am tryna is is udit songs after 2000s was betta than kumars songs !! even u know that man !! dont disagree that brov

  • @kutaibakhalid

That's true that Sanu had no decent music out after 2000 but that's for different reasons not cos of his voice. Have you heard about the scandal involving him and Gulshan Kumar the music director?

  • @shushanto no mate !! wah is it eh?

  • @aakashba : Dont even add Kumar Sanu and Udit narayan to this list.

Rafi, Kishor and Mukesh are legends!!

  • @assaultk47 ur dumb !!

  • @assaultk47 I so agree....Kumar Sanu is NOT a legend...He cannot even come close.....

  • @assaultk47 ya even manadey and sehgal saab

    but others

  • @aakashba kumar sanu!! seriously?

  • @aakashba And ASHA IS LEGENDARY WOMEN

  • jagjit and nusrat also

  • @dhawalshukla I agree. Cheers!

  • @dhawalshukla blue label, interesting

  • @dhawalshukla These songs have their own high.. you dont even need scotch :)
