  • vitali finaly meets a boxer hes size and he fails to be dominate, they both gave each other hell

but i think vitali would bust up seth green.

  • Lewis honestly believes he would have KO'd Vitali without the cut...

  • Lewis said that before fight it will last his match. In fight he losing only for points maybe, but in health he was better, more rounds and Vitali may dont have eye ...

  • 2end round lews how many punch eat...klichkos surprise to lews

  • All of you idiots have to realize that Lennox was in his FORTIES when he fought Vitale who was TEN YEARS younger and in his prime. Lewis WASNT and still made his face look like Klitscho's face look like raw hamburger smh

  • Vitali is a monster. Man I would have loved to see him fight Foreman, Ali, Lyle, Shavers, Norton and so on. He brings it when he has to. Not a big Klitschko fan but when this guy loads it up, he is fun to watch.

  • @purpleporcupine59 Vitali would be killed by Foreman. He would never be able to withstand the pressure of Frazier. Lyle hit harder and would beat him up. Ali would outbox him and knock him out and I don't know about Norton, but I'd have that even, even though consider Norton has more class.

  • Calm down people, Lewis was 37 and out of shape. The best Vitali would never beat the best Lewis. Lewis was already on his way out and didn't even care for this fight which is why he retired after, he knew the game had passed him.

  • omg you klit huggers claiming the ref was corrupt THIS ISNT A DON KING FIGHT FOR FUCKS SAKE just accept your favourite fighter lost via a LEGIT WIN - NO MATTER WHICH WAY YOU LOOK AT IT - IT WAS A LEGIT WIN.

  • @Guybball Vitali outclassed him. They are pissed because, except for a lucky shot, Lewis would have been KOd.

  • Lewis was staggered!!! Of course, when the tough gets going and the other guy catches the tall lewsi, lewis was always a dog!!

  • why do they always have a small and old referee for heavyweights...damn, he looks like a hobit infront of titans...nasty cuts in this fight, vitali..uuffffffff

  • vitali would of destroyed him if it wasnt 4 the corrupt referee

  • By the third round, LL seems to be taking his corner's advice: don't stand there trying to figure VK out; trade with him; force him to use actual defense (instead of offense for defense) and capitalize on the fact you can hit harder than him.

  • 4:58, 5:06, etc: VK simulataneously defends and attacks by slipping outside/inside LL's lead jab and using this momentum to throw a left jab/straight right. This is the kind of thing that discourages an opponent from throwing punches...

5:54 There's the left hook or straight right dilemma again...

Note that LL began the second round "having it all figured out," but then he gets confused again, VK keeps the pressure on, and LL wont have a chance to figure things out until the next break...

  • 4:01 Left hook or straight right? This is a dilemma that Roy Jones created all the time. Again, making the wrong call tends to open you up for the other punch.

Once VK has his oppenent confused, he keeps the pressure on, not giving them time to figure out what's going on. In the striking arts, one has to rely on instinct for timing; confuse your opponent and start him thinking, and these instincts seem to evaporate...

  • 2:19 VK feint's a left jab, follows with a left hook, LL catches the hook with his right forearm, and VK snaps a left jab back into the gap this created.

VK seems to confuse his opponents by capitalizing on the consequences of their defensive manuvers in general... Sometimes it gets to the point that he keeps his opponents so busy trying to figure out how to avoid moving into his next punch by evading the previous one, that they don't even have time to think about offense!

    92% KO rate...

  • Vitali Klitschko would have had an amazing career as a circus sideshow boxer in the 1930s... just put a "strong man" mustache on the guy. "Come one, come all, pit your best man against the amazing Klitschko! He can't be knocked down! Place your bets with the bald fat man smoking cigars in the corner!"

  • How Lewis survived that 2nd round, I'll never know.

He was out on his feet stumbling back to his corner.

  • @haroof he survived because he was a great champion.

  • foreman is stupid by saying no1 is taking advantage ? theyre the same size george you old fool..

  • like i said in last post, lewis was a beast.. one of the all time greats... very underrated especially here in america... but he bitched out here against bit klit... he PROMISED the man a rematch with millions watching... then verbally told vitali in private talks that he would rematch him... then he retired... smh.... lewis did fuck that eye up, but vitali was definitely winning the fight. lewis knows he was lucky they didn't go to the cards... vitali still beating everyone ass, lol wlad too

  • if both guy that beat lewis gave him rematch why didnt he gave vitali a rematch?

  • @Megadeth72

He was too old, he shouldn't have even been able to beat vitali the first time. fortunately, vitali fought like a woman and lost.

  • lewis had a glass chin, no debate.

  • I could knock 'em both out at the same time with the backs of my hands.

  • @Svittidiu we're not all as good as you though

  • Lennox was def saved by the bell in round 2... with another 30 seconds or so after the bell, Vitali puts him on the floor hard and probably KO's him.

By the end of the 2nd a stunned Lewis was seeing stars, obviously just trying to hold on for dear life as Vitali unleashed on him.

I lost a lot of respect for Lennox after this fight. He was losing the match and lucked out-- but rather than give props and admit he was wrong about Vitali, he just talked more shit... Then avoided the rematch!!

  • @bobshenix

you mean he came back and nearly knocked vitali out clean with one shot late in the sixth?

  • Lewis got his arse served too him in round 2. He clearly had a better chin then he was given credit for.

  • Man, Lewis ate a ton of punches in round two. I wasn't sure he was going to make it out of there...

  • lol in round 3 klitschko ate 5 tons of real punches xD,, xD xDx D

  • I am sick of ppl bitching on how Ali held Frazier around the neck during their fights. Look at Lennox use the same tactic here against Vitali after that monster cross. Its smart if you use it to keep from getting hit and ending up on the canvas.

  • I forgot how rough this fight was.

  • At 5:24, that right Vitali hit Lennox with should have ended the fight cause Lennox was on "dream street" afterwards. Klitschko kept trying to use the right instead of a left hook, which was his mistake, and Lennox was able to tie up. if he had thrown a left, he would have won then in the 2nd.

  • i miss heavy weight boxing

  • he was unlucky, to lose but he cut first man, i like david haye but i reckon he will be tactically taken apart

  • That was the greatest fight ever. Can't forget it stil. Thank you guys, you were both great though I'm glad Vitaly won.

  • Bravo Klitschko,go for it!

  • Maybe the best heavywweight round of the decade ? Lewis was not prime, but Klitschko wasn't either. The two best heavies in recent memory.

  • doesnt say much for the decade. was pretty weak in my opinion. Bowe & Holyfield had probably 15 rounds better than that one in their first 2 fights

  • Klitschko was prime here. A fighter his style and size is prime at 31. Lewis was almost 38, a prime Lewis would have destroyed him, but what am I saying, he even destroyed his face at 37.

  • As the saying goes, "Styles make fights." the Lennox that fought Evander would have had trouble with Vitali as well. There were moments where you saw glimpses of prime Lennox, he hit Vitali with many of his trademark shots, the right uppercut and the cross that opened the NASTY cut, but Klitschko kept coming. Lennox was not THAT out of shape either, roughly 2-3 pounds over what he normally fought at in the middle 90's. Vitali's size and style would have confused him at 32 just as well as 38.

  • Lewis was better at 32 the he was at 38. That's pretty logic. He also underestimated Vitali and didn't train hard enough. It is safe to say that a prime Lewis who was prepared for a hell of a fight would do a lot better. But it's true that styles make a fight and Vitali was a bad patch up for Lewis in any time.

  • I agree. I dunno if Vitali was quite prime here though, it seems after he won the title he became a lot less awkward in his movement and his combos got better, I think he was maybe a year or two from prime in this fight. That and the time table for fighters to peak depends on the person, as from Vitali's last fight, he is still pretty crisp and accurate with his punches, a "nightmare" (pardon the pun) for any fighter coming up to try and knock him off the moutain.

  • what a magnificent fight . i remember watching this with my pops .i dont even remember it being this great

  • cuanto mide Klitschko???

  • Mide 6´7 1/2 (2.02 m)!
