What I don't get, is that if Connie never used her voice, and it was Devyn's voice, then why'd they casr Connie instead of Devyn in the first place? Or if she couldn't sing at all then why cast her at all?

Connie sang her own parts. As far as I understand it everyone on the show over the years did.

Why did Renne and the Kid leave the show after this? Which songs are Kids Inc. orginals? Are Richie and Connie really singing? Is Richie playing the drums really?

I guess Renee and Kid though 4 seasons was enough or something. Lots of songs are Kids Inc originals and it's easy to find out which, just search on the internet. And yes, Richie and Connie are really singing, just like the others. But I don't think Richie really played the drums. His character did, so to speak, but Richard Shoff didn't actually play.

I think when the kids got to be a certain age, they ended up moving on. But yeah, Renee and Rahsaan were decent. Rahsaan's got some pretty good solo R&B songs floating around on places like Yahoo! Radio.

The kids left when they appeared to "Age out" of their character. Richie and Connie are not singing. I do not know the actor who is singing for Richie, but for Connie this season she is singing to the voice of Devyn Puett, (The actress who played "Devyn" seasons five and six. Season 5 Connie sang to the voice of another actress..and no Richie is not really playing

That can't be completely true about the kids left when they aged out. Ryan and Martika were both older than Renee and Rashaan before they left. Martika left at age 17, Ryan left at age 17, both Renee and The Kid left at 13. Stacy stayed till she was 14 or 15 depending on when Season 6 ended.
