Very nice build. i got 3 merv's i plan on modding.  one full aluminum, one for hardcore bashing and one built for racing with rpm parts and a carbon fiber system.

aluminum isn't the best tuning because its quite heavy, the plastic parts are for the most parts of the car better.

i have an e-revo mini vxl, and was wondering what would be the best upgrades for it.

I was talking to someone who owns a hobby store where i bought it, he said that most upgrades are just for show, but i would like to give it more of a "kick" right now i am running the dual series 1 traxxas batteries, its all stock besides that, well and i have snow chains on it. i have a couple vids on here, but like i said, what are the best just basic upgrades for the mini?

It looks great... but i'm doubting with all that aluminum you're getting 75MPH in 6 seconds... maybe downhill.

Post up a video with a speed gun and watch timer.. then you can say you did. Till then.. I seriously doubt it.

@davidofdesgin where did you find the motor fan cooler. I needed one for my e revo vxl. It's overheating if i want to hit 60+ mph, so for now i use the 50 mph + gearing, but I am planning to put it to 28/ 50. SO that would be close to 60 mph right.....

why would you replace the plastic parts with aluminum parts. now your car is much heavier and less durable. if your using it for speed runs take all the aluminum off and put the stock plastic back on. aluminum bends every time you hit something, plastic flexes 50% and breaks the other 50% and when it does break its like 3 dollars to fix it. really dude? the battery doors and reciver box too?.....stupid

@SH1974 build it up from its bottom is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more expensive dude. always buy RTR or ARTR (ready to run/ almost ready to run) . RTR is car + batteries + transmitter and receiver. DONT BUY PARTS AND BUILD IT FROM ITS BOTTOM. its btter upgrad the car when sometimes brokes or goes on fire (esc).

@fernades45 Why is it better to buy a stock one when >80% of it's (plastic stock) parts will be thrown while using/tuning it?

(See: I own a Mini T (Team Losi) and will soon replace the RC to 2,4GHz and change the ESC. Much other parts are already changed to alloy ore carbon. All the stock parts I own (and never use them again) I could nearly build another (but stock) Mini T!

So I really don't know why to buy a stock one when >90% of the parts will be replaced/tuned anyway...?

@SH1974 why you gonna spend like 1000$dollars on alum when u can have the same car but in (plastic like you call it) alum parts don't broke that easy but they bend.. bend= new part. since alum parts are more expensive than stock plastic parts, that will cost you a lot. alum parts means more weight means=slower. alum parts don't take the impact like the plastic one. so, when u crash into a wall or tree or whatever it is it will bend or broke not just the a-arm but the hole suspension

@fernades45 I know that alum parts are more heavy and it's not useful to tune ALL parts wich are avalible (eg. the cover of the reciver really don't have to be alum) but my Mini T is gone more precise (steering) and it offers a much "stiffer" driving feeling now.

And of corse I also know that the Mini T is lame, compared to the MERV.

(a friend of mine has got one, he uses 3s LiPos.)
