That is a coincidence. The name ship is named for the island it services. The are 2 ferries in service for the summer. This one the Grand Manan V and nd older one the Grand Manan.

my dad is second mate on that boat he was on the boat that day and got some award for saving the boat that same day

I've been on that ferry a few times when I thought it was rough. Now I know what rough is!!!! Holy cow!
