@ohmyflipflop From what I can hear, Clay Aiken doesn't seem to have a problem hitting any note. The note he hit from 0:56 to 1:00 was definitely higher than the last note. The problem about the last note is that he tried to make it nice and tender by using falsetto, but his breath support slipped out a bit. This was still an amazing performance though.

i'd have to disagree with you. that's not always the case. there are plenty of pop singers who have more powerful voices than theatre singers, if you're going to compare them on belt and chest range alone. and most of the time the two genres aren't applicable because the theatre singers often sing the majority of their songs in mixed and head voice.
