After the collapse of the Soviet Union, a lot of the Marxist-Leninists started joining environmental movements worldwide to promote their cause, Mikhail Gorbachev being one of them. He currently heads the environmental organization Green Cross. Al Armand Gore of course had a Marxist-Leninist Armand Hammer as his godfather- an American agent of the KGB who became chairman of Occidental Petroleum.
