ok 1st off i have to say great work . being an 80's kid Knight rider was and still is my all time favorite show the old 1 that is so needless to say ive littaraly ALLWAYS wanted a light bar with the comet trail so im prety shur your guessing my next question whitch im allmost dont wanna ask in fear u migh say no lol is would you be willing to sell 1 and could you custom buld 1 to better fit a particular car ?
Hi fellow Knight Rider Fans. As a hobby and to keep the skill level high, I am using "old school electronics" and "hands on" circuit layout/design. This is just a mock-up and not the finished light bar. It's all solid state (no relays) and it is a bit like building a puzzle (do people still do that?). This version is not completely programmable, because at times, I still like using my own brain [as small as it is] :)
It's really the satisfaction of doing something no longer done :)
@sportly2 I've got to admit, I'm intrigued.. Mostly because you say you are using "old school electronics", yet I am unsure what you actually mean by that.
However, if I were to take a stab at guessing, I'd say it looks like you've worked in the trailing effect without PWM, and thus without some higher-level programmable device like an Arduino.
would you be willing to build one of these for me?

lectric enterprises and marks custom kits are selling them from the USA, no ones going to show us how to make them in detail.........:(

Great work!, I'm working on a scanner for my KITT car project, I see you're using large caps on the circuit, is that for the trailing effect?
