i agree, we shouldn't even have insurance companies in the way either. While we're at it how about we do away with the licensing requirements for practicing medicine, just more useless bureaucracy.
The founding fathers wrote the constitution with the idea that majority will prevailed only in public for political affairs and that it was LIMITED BY INALIENABLE, INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS. Therefore, I do not believe that the majority should vote a mans LIFE, PROPERTY, OR FREEDOM AWAY FROM HIM. And therefore I do not believe that if the majority votes on an issue, it does not make it RIGHT.
THANKS A MILLION! I have to look our for our constitution so I can't be for Hollywood. By the way CONGRATULATIONS TO BROWN FOR THE BIG WIN! Maybe we won't be living in the USSA after all.
Are you serious? How is this a scare tactic? Im more afraid of the rationing of health care that will happen. If youre too expensive to heal, you get pain pills instead.
@numberoneandahalf Not to mention you're forcing insurance to make decisions for you. Some of us pay cash, or pay monthly payments straight to our doctors and dentists.
Insurances under pay us, then the offices and hospitals have to lay off staff which led to the nursing shortage of 1998. We still are short and it will get worse. Many of my friends are planning to leave the hospital, working on building home business. We'll just take care of our neighbors at home, I guess. ;-(
You're pulling those waiting days out of your ass. If "socialized medicine" is so bad, why are the populations of those Western countries with socialized medicine living longer than Americans?! Answer that question.

What's all this superficial crap about the spokesman? THE CHART BEHIND HIM IS COMPLETELY CONTRIVED! It was created and propogated by k-street lobbyists in an attempt to protect the status quo. Pointing at it and saying "This is the Pelosi Health Care Bill" is misleading and disingenuous.

I'm from Finland, and we have socialized medicine. Just commenting on the "it used to be just a phone-call away, but now it's this confusing" part: you could draw a map probably as confusing of the finnish system, but just today, I had bad toothache. I called the health-care plan provided by my university (payed for by the government), was at the dentist two hours later, and am set for a wisdom-tooth-removal in 7 days. You can have the best of both worlds.

That literally had NO substance. It showed colorful confusion and claimed that this is what Pelosi's bill would cause (since when is it all just her bill?). Quite frankly, I find it ironic that he brings up the fact that health care is 1/6 of our GDP when he has no proposal to save it from ultimate demise other than by stopping this bill which is intended to save it. Socialism is not the answer, but this socialized medicine, and its better than waiting for 1/6 of the economy to go bankrupt.

Typical modern-GOP campaign strategy. I miss the days when everything the Republicans said was actually based upon limited government conservatism and when they actually made sense and cared about the sovereignty of Americans from religious influence or from the government intruding upon the lives of its citizens (patriot act, military commissions act).

I'm against the health care plan, but this video sucks. If you're not going to give us reasonable arguments, at least give us someone who don't look like a stupid ass.
When commenting on anything it is important to learn how to form an opinion, articulate it well, and understand the basic rules of grammar in the English language. The correct way to phrase this ignorant opinion without sounding like a, "stupid ass," is to say, "at least give us someone who does not look like a stupid ass." Perhaps we should be focusing on education instead of health care after all.
Excellent video. The spokesman is great representation for the republican party. Carry on, RNC.
Unlike you, I choose to judge people by their confidence, intelligence, and willingness to make a difference. This young man is clearly passionate about what he is doing and willing to put himself out there for republicans.
Hiding behind a screen name to demean someone who you don't agree with shows your immaturity, but I believe you should look past his "nerdy" nature and listen to the message. If you disagree, form a valid opinion and discuss that.

The Republican Party is already overwhelmingly white and male. If they were wise, they would have a spokesperson who COUNTERACTS that image so as to appeal to a wider population. Instead, they picked a white male, and an exceedingly nerdy one as well! If you can't see the stupidity of this commercial, you're hopeless.
If Republicans were smart (which they aren't), they would've picked a woman as a spokesperson. But not a black one. Their tokenism with Michael Steele was just too obvious.
Your ignorance is alarming. You did form an opinion, but still maintained your focus on physical appearance. You also made an assumption about an entire group of people by stating that republicans aren't intelligent. I would love to discuss why you disagree with the message instead of the choice of spokesman by the RNC. The problem here lies in your logic and media driven outlook that color and gender are the important factors... not the message.
Here we are yet again. You are choosing to make an assumption about all republicans by saying we are all crazy for Sarah Palin. Not true. There are many republicans who are not. Clearly this is going no where due to a lack of maturity on your end. This will be my last post on the matter.
You, my friend, are hopeless. Open your mind and quit slandering people you do not know with demeaning words because they differ in opinion. You are embarrassing to the intelligent people against this video.
A nerdy white guy who looks like a relic from the 1950s to peddle 1950s Republican ideas. Great idea for 2009's multicultural America! Republicans = Douches.
Whats wrong with traditional American values ? We have a nerdy half white president who wants to dispose of all things that has made America great. He wants to give things that other hard working Americans have earned to people that have not worked hard or have failed in the name of multiculturalism. Ya, I'll take the guy from the fifty's and leave the multicultural era to a failing Europe.
Traditional American values like segregation and lynchings, clothes hanger abortions, women's place is in the kitchen, gays in the closet--those kind of traditional values? The Republicans' idea of "traditional values" is very rose-tinted. Traditional values essentially excluded minorities, Jews, gays, and women. Even Irish and Italians weren't totally okay. In other words, traditional values excluded 75% of America's population. I'd take today's multicultural America any day!
@Jujuman2003 Yes the same lynchings, segregation your Democratic party supported in the reconstruction period. The clothes hanger abortions that were those women's decision over seeking adoption or protected sex. The women's place was in the kitchen, until it was the feminists of the early 20th century, those of who were against abortion and were very religious. Traditional values, like a free market that employs Jews, gays and women.. I don't see your point. Conjecture at its finest.
this is retarded. How about some real information and facts instead of just vaguely saying somehow health care reform will make it more complicated to see your doctor.
