  • Wonder how many of the 200k views are mine?! Love this song - if not for a very angry volcano, a very angry Europe would have voted this song the winner.

  • 2:54 BOMB IS COMING!

    XD

  • its fantastick

  • si señor una cancion makina cantadita para eurovision tendria que aver ganado islandia!!!!

  • I dont get this video.

  • @iLOVEurovision1

What is there to get? She's attracted to a man, but the man doesn't even notice him, so she has decided to do something special to make the man notice her OR It seems that the man has lost all interest in world (notice how he behaves) and our heroine here has decided to make his life a little bit more exciting. Mystery solved!

  • i looooooooooooooooove this song but what a stupid video

  • superbe voix, elle aurait mériter gagner

  • what a woman!

  • don't know much about Iceland, but now I know some of the greatest musical artists come from there. :) Thanks for the uplifting music and beautiful presentation!

  • she is the real winner of eurovision 2010, whatever people say.Nobody sings like that ,100000000 points... bravo

  • Why did she put on a red dress to jump in ????

  • @jayhughes89 to look prettier i think xs

  • @jayhughes89 because it was the dress she wore for the Eurovision song contest, and it was to make it look different

  • I love this video and her live performance was amazing. She is SO beautiful. So damn beautiful.

  • I simply love this song, and I love Hera Björk and her beautiful voice! <3

what does "Je ne sais quoi" mean?

  • @Ymille I don't know what

  • @Ymille Je ne sais quoi-I don't know what Je ne sais pas pourquo-I don't know why :)

  • @69TROPICS Yes, that is the literal translation. In context, "je ne sais quoi" refers to an indescribable romantic allure- for example, the guy you like has a certain je-ne-sais-quoi about him; this means that he is attractive, in a way that you can't quite put a finger on.

I love this song- a beautiful girl, with a beautiful voice. It's a shame that she didn't win, or at least go to the finals- in a contest like this, it's all politics.

    From Canada, with love. <3

  • @ImmortalObscurity :DDDDD

  • amaziiiing,oleeeee,me encantaaaa

  • IT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFULL SONG OF THIS EUROVISION SONG CONTEST!!!!

    SHE COULD BE THE WINNER!!!!!

  • Awesome song (should've won!) but dreadful video! :\

  • What means this "Je ne sais quoi"

  • @marinacro1 It means "I don't know what" in French.

  • it really chills my spine when she sings! Iceland always sends powerful and beautiful songs to Eurovision. really loved this one and I can't stop listen to her

  • Fantastic song should of been in the top 5 if not the winner!

  • to akouw kathe mera kai den to variemai...pistevw aksize kalyterh thesi...eytyxws tsimphse kai 3 pontous apo emas...kai exei kai ellhniko onoma...Hera is one of the best!!!

  • The best song from the Eurovision song contest..that's for Sure!!

    Love it!! ;-)

  • Go girl!!!

  • Love this song veryyy much!! Her voice touches me..

  • Love this songggg very much!!

  • It dosent have to make ANY sense, its just gotta be loved by lots of nations =p

  • @Joshm226 Btw. that isnt as hard as it sounds, if we love lady gaga, we can also love crazy woman in giant red dress and her swimming pool attempt at suicide

  • Oh, eh, I always go like this: Getting attention by wearing a drees in bath. And it always works, guys.

Look at her. She "got the special something".

    Hahahha. Strange women, nice song.

  • uperoxooooo!!!!!!

  • and what's the message of the video? wear a fancy dress in a swimming bath and you'll catch everyone's attention?

strange vid.... love the song though x3

  • @Tyler11266: I would say not qualifying for the finals at all (like 2005, 2006 and 2007) could still be considered far worse than a 19th place, hence this is the 3rd best result for Iceland since the year 2004.

  • she's cute :-)

  • 1:44 she is so beautiful ;]]

  • I think she's got an amazing voice and I love this song. The video is brilliant, it never fails to make me chuckle!

  • She's very beautiful, her voice is one of the best I've heard, the music video is very original and strong, and her character is very strong as well. Iceland was wise when it chose Hera, and maybe we will hear of her some other year as well.

  • She sing great! But i don't like her clothes

  • good

  • n_n

  • o.O

strange Video for this awesum voice and song

  • a special colour of voice, and she perfomances like a real proffessional

  • From Portugal !! I really like this music Islndia the Eurovision Festival 2010 in Oslo, for me it was the Big Winner! I atvotei it lol

  • I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH <3 <3

  • This must be one of the...strangest music videos ever...however, I'm aware there are some really weird ones out there that I haven't seen, this maybe makes sense compared to those

BTW, I like her eyes, there's something that makes them unique, but I'm not really sure what it is...

  • @NightmarishMemories

    Her eyes are sultry :)

  • i love her!!!!!!!!!! :D THE BESt. She will sing at Stockholm pride this year:3 BEst evoooR!

  • is good

  • This video clip theme should Include a Volcano ... :)

  • LOVED THIS SONG! defs deserved a higher spot, 12 points from Australia

  • Iceland should have won followed by Greece

  • @ConservativeGreek I think the other way around - but this song is fantastic. What a magnificent voice this woman has!

  • I Like iceland very much.

    And the Song :D

    love from Germanyyy :D

  • Iceland didn't deserve the 19th place but there are several factors that lead to this result:

    1. Europe hates Iceland because of the volcanic eruption when Icelanders are actually getting the worst of it here in Iceland

    2. Britain and the Netherlands hate Iceland because of the Icesave-fiasco

    3. Her looks are different from all the other contestants and that dress isn't excactly complimenting her figure (in my oppinion it makes her look like a giant volcano)

  • @IcedIslander they should stop the political voting. It's a song contest. So often in Eurovision, you see fantastic singers and songs, like this one, which don't do as well as they deserve, because people vote by country instead of individuals. Surely now, someone could arrange sms voting? That would be more democratic - one person, one vote. PS - nobody hates Iceland! everyone thinks you have had a really tough time, and wishes you well for the future. Love from a British ex-pat in France.

  • @TheBelovedButterfly

I think they didn't vote for Hera because they knew that Iceland couldn't afford to host the next contest and that they didn't want all that volcano trouble again.

I'd like to think that people didn't boycott Iceland because of the Volcano. Hera deserved so much more and I hope the 19th place dosn't discourage her from representing her country again. I would certainly love to see her representing Iceland again.

  • @Kingfordian22 I'm biased because I love this song, and it's a real treat to hear such a fantastic voice. There's no sanity in Eurovision voting; personally, I think the German song is boring, and Lena has the silliest voice I ever heard; as an English person, I can say she must have learned English from an idiot - it is truly bizarre!

  • @TheBelovedButterfly

For sure...Germany's song can be annoying and the voice even more so.

I thought that Hera really had a chance of winning this. She's well known to the esc fans (or at least those from a fan message board I frequent). And the mood of the audience in the arena was very enthusiastic during the semi and final. I find that the louder the cheering and applause at the start of the song, the better chance they have. She should've been in the top 10 at least.

  • @Kingfordian22 Definately, she should. I must say, also, it is the song I hear most on the radio here. When I hear the German song it is irritating, and as soon as it is finished, I forget it, except for the silly voice. Why does Lena sing like that? it is really, really annoying and quite mad. Nobody on earth talks like that in English. She is lucky that so many non-English speakers vote in Eurovision; you can bet, no native English speaker voted for it - because ot that voice!

  • @Kingfordian22 Also, I have to ask - why does that song make such a big deal about buying underwear, doing her hair and painting her toenails? isn't that just normal grooming?

  • @TheBelovedButterfly

    Apparently not.

  • @Kingfordian22 I notice that it doesn't mention shaving her legs and armpits! :-)

  • @TheBelovedButterfly It's good to hear that Europe doesn't hate us, but sadly, that's the impression most Icelanders got. Also, I'm not saying that Hera should have dressed like a barbie doll (that didn't really work out for Bulgaria, did it now?), I'm merely pointing out that the dress could have been better suited to her figure - the dress made her breasts appear smaller and directed the attention to her tummy.

  • @IcedIslander I think they just wanted her to wear something big, bold and colourful, to suit the singer. Really, don't get too paranoid - nobody hates you. You have been through particularly tough times (and we are all broke at the moment) but we are all old countries, been there before, and will get through it. I was actually talking to some French friends who assumed Hera would win, and suggested the rest of Europe should pay for Iceland to host the show!

  • @TheBelovedButterfly It's really nice to hear those kind words - and don't worry too much about Iceland, we're doing OK :)

  • @IcedIslander No problem. Europeans have to stick together.

  • @IcedIslander also, by the way, I disagree about her looks. She is a big woman with a big voice, and the song would have less impact if she looked like a silly Barbie Doll. In her red dress, she doesn't look like a volcano, she looks more like a sort of splendid Viking queen.

  • Very good song and a great voice!!! I really like it!!! Kisses from Romania!

  • @SnowmanFromTheOven I would like to see random countries voting for each other so you would get a more objective voting pool.

  • One of the best songs i heard on eurovision this year.I voted for her 2.Pitty she didnt win..Really the winner of eurovision 2010:)Just keep on Hera ur amazing, have wonderful voice and ur very positive person.Keep on:)

  • I like this song :)

  • she sings very good , but at the final the song was playback i think

  • @buffonbestever not possible, the rules of eurovision state that all voices have to be sung live so no playbacks/lip-syncing are allowed. This has once been controversial. In 1999 when Croatia had what sounded like human back vocals, on tape, but they claimed it was instruments.

  • @Tyler11266

Since 1999, artists have had to sing live with a backing track. However the backing track is instrumental only. All vocals (Including backup) have to be sung live to the instrumental backing track. If an artist fails to sing live, they lose one third of their points, which might effect their position.

  • Dawn French's Twin...?

  • I voted for this song so many times and got only a bit over 40 points if I remember right - which was a shame. This was clearly the best song in Eurovision Song Contest for ages! Wish to see more of these kind of songs in the future. Kiitos Islanti! (=Thank you Iceland!)

    Greetings from Finland :)

  • I like this song, was better than the most of the songs, because it was different. Hera Björk looks different (i like people, who can sing, but doesn't look like you expected) and she has a great voice.

I also think that this song is better than the German one, even I'm German,

    Greetings

  • less is genious... saying "great" is a really "small" word to describe the energy and beauty of this song... and the voice, awesome... thanks for the chills and the memories!!!! ;D
