u were wrong...meng huo was the one that started it...meng huo messed up the southern part of shu, yunnan and killing anyone that is in his way n making a rebellion...zhuge liang then marched his army to stop meng huo...zhuge liang have no intention of killing him otherwise he wouldve done it on the 1st capture...he just wanted to make meng huo loyal to his kingdom...and he did on the 7th capture...thats why meng huo was so sad when zhuge liang died,he tried 2 avenge zhugeliang in 235AD

Nanman is not Burma. It's more like Hunan in China. A lot of territories that are now within China's borders were not Sinicized back then. That's why Shu never had too much control over the borderlands, same with Wu. Places like Shenzen and Hong Kong are definitely China now, but back then no one thought of it as China, and no one thought people living in these places were Chinese.

liu shan is incompetent...but during zhuge northern campaign...he had fei yi and dong yun to help the domestic affairs at chengdu but yes zhuge is the 1 handling all shu's affairs which led to his death,overwork and poor health...

Still, I can understand Meng Huo's position. He was fighting for the continued independence of his people, who had known nothing but oppression and exploitation from the northern Chinese. Although it is true that his resistance caused his people's suffering, can you fault him for wanting to defend them?
