  • that was probably the most exciting part of the race

  • ABSOLUTE KHAYOES!

  • Something interesting happend at Abu Dhabi?

  • @MegaMrDamo Yep its the safety carxD.. did u thought it would be interesting racing:P...

  • 1st lap pile up

  • I remember watching this on Speed here in the US and screaming at the damn TV. I'm a huge Whincup fan, so I was a bit pissed watching this unfold.

  • What was the incident that prompted the SC in the first place? I didn't see anything that would have required it's use

  • Fk me sideways! I would have snaped @ the SFcar driver...

  • They need to incorporate the pit exit tunnel into the racetrack!!

  • This video is a good guide on trolling Motorsport

  • Look at that 2 billion dollar race facility, and the stands are empty, just shows some countries have more money than they know what to do with

  • @spruland I didn't watch this race last year in F1 because I just hated the track and since it was a dead rubber I didn't have any reason to watch

  • @spruland I'm glad someone has pointed this out! I don't this place will be around for long due to lack of supporters. I think the GP in 2011 only got 60,000 on race day!

  • Reminds me on an IndyCar race this summer, when race control had to post the whole lineup for the restart as nobody knew his position any more.

  • that was crazy, whats johnson even thinking?

  • Hamiltons fault

  • @xKriZ765x LOL

  • lol, i race so i forget evrything .. lol.. no problems , lol,, so relaxing just be me and de car and rooad and de race .

  • holly shit nuns like V8 xD

  • Pacing so slow is fucking dangerous...tires get colder and the lack of grip could result in major crashes at the restart...

  • Well, double file restart it is.

  • I think as i don't see that many cars in pit-lane.

  • what about the chaos?

  • Why was it under safety car

  • V8s at night are awesome

  • Makes me curious - With the safety car going so slowly, would it have been possible to gain track position using pit lane? The safety car seemed to be making it down the pit straight about as fast as the pit lane limit, and the cars were clearly entering and exiting the lane faster than the safety car was travelling. If you just pulled a compliance stop-go and called it a pit stop, you may have been able to gain legal track positions.

    THAT wouldve been a farce.

  • I didn't know that V8's raced in dhabi

  • V8 supercars Double file Restarts!

  • Anyone know how can i watch V8 supercars, when i am outside australia?

  • the pusherinners

  • but the spectators? the seats are all empty

  • this is why i want to shot johnson in the back of his head

  • Im wondering, shouldnt Winterbottom have kept going and get a free lap, he would be behind everyone, but almost a lap up as he would have done an extra one compared to everyone else...

  • COULD ORGANISE A PISSUP IN A BREWERY

  • everytime i hear an australian accent i always think of the fosters advert xD "budgie smugglers" lmao xD

  • not again simmlar thing happened on 2009 phillip island

  • the safty car was going heaps slower then usal

  • ha i always love when racing goes to the middle east. all the alcohol ads change, and sometimes are quite cheeky. usually not though. but "the team" instead of "jim beam" was. they definately sound the same.

  • The speed the safety car is going is dangerous to the cars. they aren't designed to go at that speed.

  • why was the safety car going so slow?

  • whats the normal speed of the safety car?

  • @gamefreakx129 80km/h i'm pretty sure.

  • @V8SupercarMadness tha doesn't sound right, it would barely allow the race cars behind it to get out of 1st gear.

  • @twistednormal Well there is nothing in the D 11. SAFETY CAR (“SC”) PROCEDURES part of the V8 Supercars Operations manual to answer this question. my opinion is it all depends on the track they are racing on, but im not really sure, so the answer to the question is a mystery. Maybe if someone is close friends with Amber Anderson (Safety car driver) they would kindly ask her the average speed of the safety car?

  • @V8SupercarMadness It should be more

  • @V8SupercarMadness usually they just drive the car as quickly as it can go - I know in F1 they have the SLS on the edge the entire time - it's usually about 30-40 seconds per lap slower than normal race speed.

  • @gamefreakx129 Track Repairs... if the Safety car was doing 80km/h they would get too many laps done.

  • @V8SupercarMadness 80 km/h for danger zones, 120 or 110 km/h for normal track zones...at least is for f1 cars....sometimes it can go over 150 km/h..but is rare

  • @gamefreakx129 mate as a Safety Car Suppier and Course Car Driver here in Australia, the safety car can have a speed of Stopped (0km/h) to 100 on rare occasions 120km/h. it depends on what is actually happening.

    Hope this helps.

  • @livo101 i live in Australia but i just dont know much about it ps:i live in Adeliade

  • @gamefreakx129 Thats ok mate, not many people do although alot of people assume that they are experts (not having a dig at you) im in Canberra, but spend 25% of the year in Bathurst and 15 % in Melbourne haha three home towns technically.

  • @livo101 What that doesn't explain is why the safety car was going so slow well before the accident scene.

  • @rynogt4 Hi Mate, i was responding to @gamefreakx129 's comment about what the normal speed of the safety car was. from what i have been told, there was track repairs happening, this could be ripple strip coming up circuit cracking, i dont know, i wasnt their, but they make it slow to A) give the Officials More time to finish the job and B) make it safe for them to work, like at a Road Work Zone. it is more a case of A as its very Dangerouse to keep changing from 40 to 80/100 back to 40. cheers

  • @gamefreakx129 the actual ruling is before the field is finally compacted before restart the safety car must be travelling 60km/h, but after the field is fully compacted and ready for restart the safety car must travel 80km/h (thanks to lessons from mark skaife)

  • @gamefreakx129 200 na sat uuuu krivinu....

  • @gamefreakx129 40km's is the limit, never ever in my 10 years of watching V8 supercars have I see anything like this though

  • @gamefreakx129 60km/h then 80 km/h when they are about to restart

  • @gamefreakx129 it depends othe track and the category. but this is just too slow.

  • Also Whincup passed Winterbottom before the control line at the restart, yes Winterbottom wnet wide but no penalty for Whincup. Junior Johnson passed Fabian Coulthard at the restart in Adelaide one or two seasons ago when Coulthard had a dying car and he gets a penalty. Where's the fucking consistancy

  • what an idiot race control is!

  • good jobs boys

FOR KEEPING WHINCUP OUT OF THE PACK FOR THE LARGE AMOUNT OF TIME!!!

  • hahahaha Jamie and Dutto are hilarious, "Go and take your position!".

Definitely made the race more interesting though, these overseas rounds are normally a snoozefest.

  • I agree that it was a complete disgrace but it led to the best finish of the season and it's only the 2nd round

  • LOL

  • WHAT A FARCE!! The fact you could get a free pitstop is an absolute disgrace. You could have driven throught the pits and gained 15 positions from last place. What a joke. V8s have gone downhill since 2006

  • @Jahanoudis totally agree. I attended the Eastern Creek test day this year and it was my first v8 supercar event in a few years (last one probably around 2005) and i honestly felt disappointed. They just dont have the feel as they used to, the big beefy V8 sound has been replaced by a hyped up go kart and the whole commercialism of the series is just plain depressing.

  • @Jahanoudis Yeah the saftey car fucked up... its not like it hasn't happened in the past. V8 Super Cars only go downhill on conrod

  • @Tryphon34 A nascar falling can reach a faster pace then a nascar on the road!

  • @BoyPocketsJr You sir make no sense at all.

  • @Tryphon34 You sir, are a butt pirate

  • @Tryphon34 If it was NASCAR, the steward would stop cars at the pit exit, wait for the last car in the not-pitting queue to clear, then release the pitted cars.

But I have to blame the Yas Marina pit road design where cars cross under the first series of turns before exiting opposite-line. This is Tilke's fault.

  • We have a Great series, But not so Great Officials.

  • @3.50 I think Whincup is about to cry..

  • Chaos! That was really wild!

  • Finally I watched a race live since I left Australia!....6 years have passed (I watched the race on Motors TV) ...Great upload dude :D

  • @DesertEagle091 Thanks Eagle :)
