@Zuccherissimo0 It's what the tour girl from Hostel Catederal told me. It's the best looking building in Latin America and i thought i would glorify it for my friends to see. She also said the Angel de Independencia was made from solid gold which is probaby untrue*
@P1mpMyBr1de I don't think that the tour girl is right, she needs to stop disinforming the tourists, LOL, the statue is made of bronze, and it's covered on 24K gold, the angel suffered damage during an earthquake on July 28, 1957 when it fell to the ground and broke into several pieces, and I don't know if she told you, but the monument is sinking.
That is NOT the tallest building in Latin America. BTW, the tallest building in Mexico is "Torre Mayor", and Panama holds the tallest buildings in Latin America now reaching the 70-80 storey range.
Thank you for posting it. What dates where you there? I would like to visit Mexico City in October.
How was your experience in Mexico City? I'm a little cautions on going because of all the bad things I have been hearing on the news lately. Did you feel safe while you where there?
@dimas883 Hello* I was there in august last year just before the independance celebrations. Mexico City is brilliant but you must stay within the touristic locations with your friends. Don't be afraid to tell beggers to Fuck Off if they are harassing. Be careful in the Zocalo, just 5 blocks away the area is very run down, lots of prostitutes and drug dealers, obviously quite dangerous. Book official taxis instead of the cheaper unofficial ones. Basic travel common sense. Have a great time : )
@P1mpMyBr1de Hey man that building is not the tallest in Latino America, The torre mayor was the tallest of course in Panama is the tallest building, but they´re aren´t strongest like here in Mexico City all our buildings have a lot of Amortiguadores, these can withstand an earthquake of 8.5 to 9.0. the torre mayor have 230 mts. and the tower can withstand 9.0 the safest in the world. and the HSBC building in front of the angel have 136mts, but good video man.
HELOOOOOO! to the guy in white shirt 1:59 :)
