i Know how to fix this go to may channel "richken7" and ill explain how to adjust the heat sensors in the intercooler ts. Also if you have the grinding sound form the fans take it apart and add barber/cliper oil to the fans just a drop, and after press the fans hard/ down word and plug it back in. (no issue) on a intercooler that a year and under the ball barings should not be out yet.
i had that problem with my old one. then i went out and bought a black one, and it still amde the noise, but only for like 5 seconds. but it works pretty good
ok everybody i hope this helps with your questions i have a ts and an ex the ts is definately the better unit ts stands for temp smart on the second fan you will notice a little device this reads your 360 tempature unlike the ex this unit will only start working when your 360 needs it to and wont stop untill its cool :)

ha ha, yeah, mine sounds like the same as yours. So loud then it goes to normal after 15 sec or so. I don't see a problem as long as it quiets down. But, if it didn't and stays like that the whole time, I'd would go CRAZY! lol

im thinking that the cooling device has an automated rheostat that controls voltage to the fans, depending on the heat measured form the 360. in other words like all fans that have been made to cool items they will usually turn to full speed when first turned on to check if they work properly and clear dirty bearings. it may just be the fans are cheaply made and will grind at high rpm and then quiten down when spinning slower?
just a thought, im no sparky so feel free to correct me if im wrong

ok, i had the same problem. what you do is take the back cover off, take the fan causing the noise (normally the middle one) off, push on the back of the fan while pushing on the front also. mine made the same noise intil i did this, it was cause by the fan vibrating loose

take it back mine does not do that noise. the ts uses the same tech that computer case use to give temp readings. your xbox need to be off and sarted up cool if not , and it is stared after xbox has been used it can take 4-5min for it to turn on. just sarting your xbox first time of the day it only take min for it to messure the out side temp.
the nyko intercooler ts fans make a noise when that first start because the 3 fans need to warm up then the noise stops after 1 to 3 minutes after they warm up the noise stops completely the one for the xbox 360 has 3 fans but the nyko intercooler ts for the ps3 has 4 fans and it black like the system color
my xbox intercooler does make noise i think it's the cooler because my mom has a cooler for her laptop and it does the same exact noise on her laptop cooler
the ts intercooler has what are known stepper motars and what they are doing is setting themselves to there correct position. so dont freak (not saying u did) when u here that noise, but it does get very annoyng
Yeah, it's a really great thing to buy to prevent too much heat for your xbox. What it does is pull the air out from the inside and forces it out with the 3 fans on the back so you won't get overheated or frozen xbox or anything.

also try cleaning it with a air blower becuase you know as you have it for a long time you start to get this dust all over your intercooler right. well the or some sort of vaccume will blow all the dust away thats the only thing causing the sound you dont need to do anything more or anything less other than that is the first priority if you want to get rid of the sound.

I got the slim xbox and while it works way better than the old one my 2007 80gb (now 320gb) ps3 is way quieter and stays way cooler

ha ha, yeah, mine sounds like the same as yours. So loud then it goes to normal after 15 sec or so. I don't see a problem as long as it quiets down. But, if it didn't and stays like that the whole time, I'd would go CRAZY! lol

ok, i had the same problem. what you do is take the back cover off, take the fan causing the noise (normally the middle one) off, push on the back of the fan while pushing on the front also. mine made the same noise intil i did this, it was cause by the fan vibrating loose

ok well i have the same problem with my ps3 intercooler.
what i do is, when its making the grinding sound, unplug the power FROM the intercooler and wait for a few seconds, then plug it back in.
keep repeating that until it works.
but if it doesnt work after the 2nd or 3rd try, try tapping on it a little bit.

if the intercooler fans dont turn on right away, but ur xbox ones do, then its perfectly fine.
if the xbox ones dont turn on, then ur screwed.
but the intercooler is just for extra heat prevention.
