  • this recording is from 1952, the year before he died. to hear this and "a child's christmas in wales" as well as "fern hill", "in the white giant's thigh", "ballad of the long-legged bait" and "ceremony after a fire raid" get a hold of caedmon's "a child's christmas in wales & 5 poems" cd. it is quite a gem.

  • When and where did Dylan Thomas make this recording?

  • this is such an amazing poem!!! Thanks for posting this!!

  • Good job!

  • i loved the art work in this, very good the painting of the head with the candle burning beside it, although the person who was dead didnt appear very old, he seemed to have a bruise on his temple, which reminds me of seamus heanys midterm break,

  • The first time I read this poem I wasn't sure what I had read. When I went back to read it a second time I got goosebumps. I now get goosebumps every time I read or hear it.

  • Great work. Thank you for compiling and sharing this.

  • That is very cool. I had never heard that before and amazing art! WOW!!!
