  • saw it in glasgow last week, very weak but still enjoyable, i think it was a cast of about 10 very dissappointing

  • wonder what thequeen thought of this LOL, I love it will be seeing it in Edinburgh in october hopefully

  • going to see it in august can't wait!!!

  • Which one is Tim Curry?

  • He's playing King Arthur.

  • Who played the Lady of the Lake in this version?

  • Hannah Waddingham i think.

  • So bloody clever!

  • tim curry woot woot! :D

  • @computerorphone I always mixed him up with Jeremy Beadle

  • *Woot! Woot!* Go Tim! He did an awesome job in this! To bad it's not still on Broadway, I wanted to go so bad when it was!

  • Gotta love Spamalot, I saw it in the West End, December 2006 before Tim Curry left. Possibly the funniest and wittiest musical I've ever seen.

  • John Cleese did more than what was from the movie because there are more lines than in the movie.

  • And actually, John Cleese's recordings weren't from the movie. Because in the movie, Graham Chapman played God.

  • i saw it when it was down in aus

omg amazing! i absolutly loved it!

  • wow, England always gets the best stuff. Monty Python and Royal Variety.

  • just saw it live at the cobb enegery theater in georgia

  • Of corse, we have Avenue Q, so we have good stuff too.

  • As far as I know Eric Idle was the only Monty Python member who reworked it for the stage. John Cleese plays the voice of God so I guess he was happy enough despite in a documentary it seemed like he was taken slightly by surprise to its creation.

  • Thanks for sorting the sync, hobbitkitty. Excellent stuff.

  • Esther Stilwell does a fantastic Lady of the Lake for the Toronto production I saw last week.

  • Saw Hannah as Lady of the Lake in the west end. Her vocal range was amazing and she was hilarious. Sorry to say I enjoyed her performance much more than Sara Ramirez on the CD!

  • i havent seen the west end production..but i think sara ramirez was the best lady of the lake! you should check out videos of her doing these songs on youtube... it's kind of unfair to compare a live performance with a recording don't you think??

  • That's a fair point. Therefore I'm confused that you back it up by saying that Sara Ramirez was the best if you're basing Hannah Waddingham's performance oon a couple of clips on YouTube. I'm not saying that Hannah Waddingham is better than Sara, just that I enjoyed her more that any recordings of Sara I've heard so far. The only way to truly compare would be too see both Hannah and Sara do it live on stage!

  • i'd say that Sara Ramirez has the best voice for the role but i think Hannah Waddingham has the best look and comedic timing for the role....just my oppion though

  • Yeah, Marrin Mazzie is back.

  • LOL! I love Chris Sieber! "How are we going to eat if they keep running away?"

And Hannah Waddingham is a star. I hope she comes back to Broadway soon.

  • Ok. Thank you! I thought they looked familiar, but my family SUCKS with remembering names/faces.

  • Yes, I realize that. But were the guys playing Arthur and Galahad also members of the original Broadway cast?

  • Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but are Arthur and Galahad being played by the original Broadway cast?

  • ahh! i love tim curry!

  • omg <3 sara ramirez

wish it was her too =(

it's such a shame so many people only know her for grey's anatomy!

  • You mean the original Lady of the Lake? Who does she play in Grey's Anatomy?

  • callie torres

  • Ah. Thanks!

  • The original Lady of the Lake was sara Ramirez! (The best, funniest Lady of the Lake)

  • I've only seen clips of this one and Sara, but you're right; Sara is DEFINATELY the better of the two!

  • thanks! i just asked that on the other video! i thought it was her, she's great.

  • i MUCH PREFER nina from sweden now!!!

    :D

  • This would be perfect if it was Sara Ramirez.

  • aye but can you upload the 1st part in sync?

  • oh people lighten up......im just happy to see this....we dont get the Tonys in Australia.....but i will be seeing Spamalot and Wicked in Melbourne later this year.....thankyou for posting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, sorry. I had to choose between the pic or the sound. The first clip is clearer, but the sound is off.

  • Heh heh. We eat jam and ham and spamalot!! Too bad the pic couldn't be a bit clearer.
