1- Saudi population is 1/3 of Iran and Saudi sells 4 times more oil than Iran; therefore Saudi is 12 times richer than Iran. But Saudi was almost bankrupt 3 years ago (before oil prices went up) and had a huge budget deficit they could not fulfil.
Iran's oil income and Taxes were spent on building Iran and free education for everybody and free healthcare for poor people; and also helping other poor Muslims who needed help in the world.

im sorry i think abu bakr was chosen by the ppl prophet chose imam ali he was divienly chosen my allah. i would take allah's word and prophet word before any popluations vote if i were u. i dont know what right person who would love his friends more then his family especially the prophet as. ali was raised with the prophet and married his daugther fatima is simple and logic :)
