  • what type of pump were you running on that highbanker? I seems pretty quite.

  • @tattoome5150 It was a little 2.5 hp Honda. It is quiet.

  • how much was was the gold worth?

  • @Josephcarlsonstrom

In total I probably gathered a few hundred dollars worth, but spent far more getting there and digging it up. As is the case with all hobbies.

  • @kurtnfredrickson awesome! have fun spending the $. love the music by the way

  • @Josephcarlsonstrom

What was in the bottle was less than $50. In all the trips Ive made there I probably gathered a few hundred dollars worth, but spent far more getting there and digging it up. As is the case with all hobbies.

"where did you get that lil shovel"

any hardware store on planet earth! "where did all that water come from?"

"how did you guys grow all those trees?"

"are you guys outside on this trip?"

    retard!

  • We aiways do camp fires of this nature too. Comes in handy to melt the gold to poor into our molds and make our one ounce ingots. :)

  • @kelty502

    If your making one ounce ingots over a campfire i hope you bring security and keep that spot a secret. : }

  • how much have you got on your best day? nice looking area any bears there?

  • @boaraxa

haven't had a great day, bit my best day was several small pickets. Maybe a pennyweight. One day I found a pennyweight nugget. That was probably the best.

  • If you're picking up the tiny flakes, you're doing pretty good. What I do sometimes is run a sluce behind my box, and then clean that out separate to see if there is any gold that would have otherwise been missed. And, my finding has ALWAYS been nada. For many years I have done this. So, I think in the end, due to the sheir gravity of gold, you're mistakes have to be pretty agredious (sp?) before you begin to lose gold.

  • When you were feeding the highbanker why didn't you try screening some of those larger rocks out (or using a concentrator pan)--less to clean up afterwards and maybe a little more gold might even settle in your outfit?? Just a thought . . . Nice setup, I visited this area right after the 64' earthquake--haven't been back since, unfortunately. regards, .

  • @callmeBe

the highbanker has a screen on top, it's hard to see. No need to classify. It has a two stage classification system. Saves lots o time. Works good. Had a bad spot fir gold though. Thanks.

  • I can't think of a better way to make my you tube debut!!

  • where did you get that little shovel? looks good for packing around. glad yall had fun!!!
