  • 3 years on they are in a 6 foot tank and swimming and bigger than my hand! and happy and healthy i have 4 now!

  • Your tank is good the only bad things is you need a better filter something that shoots water out into the water to create a high flowing stream. Look up on Petsmart turtle clean 501 this is a really good filter. Map turtle need a lot of oxygen because where they live are in fast streams! ;)

  • @Cornpop7845 just caught one out of a lake ive never caught or seen one out of a creek

  • really nice set up.. very natural and dont' worry about the rule of thumb..everything is negotiable.

  • wow:D! Nice set up..Do you recomend this breed of turtle? Are they genrenally easy to look after?! I am looking for some turtles and these seem the most attractive and they don't get too big!:)

  • cool setup

  • such a beutiful tank

  • where can i get one

  • That is an awesome setup!! What kind of filter were you using here and how often did you have to clean it. (I'm thinking of getting 1 or 2 Map turtles soon) I know I'd need a bigger tank.

  • great set up!

  • im sick of people saying 10 gallons per inch of shell. if you have baby turtles you dont need a massive tank right away, yes a decent sized one like 20 gallons but as long as you up grade when you need to no problem. i personally have four baby terrapins in a 20 gallon tank at the mo they are about 2 month old and i will be upgrading to the biggest tank possible with the room i have. do your research and enjoy your fucking pets. nice turtles dude

  • how big do the map turtles get and how big are yours now

  • ive had them 2 years now they have massive tank with basking log and places to climb and 2 more turtles..i love them!

  • hopefully they were later rescued from this tank. It's about 100 gallons too small. The rule of thumb is 10 gallons per inch based on full grown adult size.

  • yes i have them ina massive tank now and about to go bigger again!!! this was the first week we were given them

  • @SROD12321 we are lucky in europe

  • hey am looking to buy a mapping turtle i like how u got your tank set up can u tell me a little on what filter u use what kind of plants thos are otherithings about the setup thanks

  • awesome tank

  • mississippi map turtles are my favorite

  • ilove ur tank

  • sweet how long did that tank last i have some just like that , i need to knopw when to upgarde , if i need to

  • DANG!!! WHAT A NICE TANK!!!!

  • EXACTLY what I thought

  • on turtlesaledotcom there is a filter/pump/heater and i was wondering if that was better that a fluval

  • that set up is soooooooo kool i want a turtle what stuff do i need??

  • cool tank ..i think the map turtles are very happy there 10/10

  • are those real plants in the water if they are whats the name of them

  • nice tank hey look into getting a fluval internal filter. i had the filter and i hated it i now have two fluval 2 plus filters and my water is super clear and i got fish in thier too besides the fluval takes up less space

  • That is a sick fucking tank man goood job

  • great setup perfect for maps!!

    10/10

  • I just want to say that your tank its nice id likethe decoration pretty cool!! i wonder how you made up the cascade with the rocks!!

  • I love how you background just blends right in with the rest of you decor. 5 stars on this video.. Keep em coming! :)

  • hi you tubers....i have a question for turtle ppl. yesterday i got 1 yellow belly and 1 map turtle..but today the yellow belly is just sulking around the tank..the map turtle is darting around no prob....i cured the tank for 2 weeks prior to putting them in..i may have over fed them on there first day....anyway i would love some help as i dont wanna loose it.. also they wont eat the pellets only the shirmp...

  • Wow nice set up it looks really cool, it looks like is outside like the lake

  • this set up is well kl like wot you've done with the rocks

  • map turtles grow 20cm that tank is way to small i recomend you sell your turtles by a bigger tank and keep spotted turtles wih grow 10cm or musk turtls wich grow 14cm most turtles how ever riqwire a tank the size of a bath(or barth)

  • maybe he has a bigger one available for when they need it, or is going to buy one when they need it.

  • agreed thats what im doing with my tank....not that hard to make them

  • do turtle grow big in a tank? if they are not in der natural habitat?

  • Very Nice!

  • wow... that is really creative... i wish mine was like that... how does the filter work if the rocks are blcokin the way???

  • very nice tank. i have a map turtle too

  • Turtles are amazing pets, just be sure to clean the tank because mine tends to get real messy. YOu may also want to get a pail to take them out of the tank and feed in the pail as that is less messy for the tank.

  • nice tank ive got 2 turtles

  • amazing tank. and very nice turtles im thinking of getting turtles soon

  • nice tank i like it

  • nice tank man did u get ur rocks from ur yard or did u buy them?

  • must have really happy turtles, ive seen a few of your tanks and they all look great. im currently buying stuff for my tank before i go get my lil turtles.

  • WoW !

    That tank is beutiful!

  • Great job on the setup, that's what turtle keeping is all about.

  • wow thats a beautifal tank

  • Like land turtles are any better.

  • does anyone know what the minimum size tank for a map turtle is?

  • 10 gallons

  • how many gallons is the tank?

  • a 30 gallon aquarium as a minimum (40 or larger preferred) for males, and a 75 gallon aquarium as a minimum (90 or larger preferred) for females. This will provide adequate swimming area, as well as assisting the filtration in maintaining good water quality. For additional Graptemys pseudogeographica pseudogeographica, I would recommend adding 20 gallons of tank space for additional males and 50 gallons of tank space per additional female at a minimum.

  • i wanna get 1 so bad

  • that sey up is amazin really cool ur turtles must live da life!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • how easy is it too keep them could a child look after one please reply

  • there pretty easy to keep if u haver the right satuff for it and my son is 11 and he takes care of it so yeh but if ur child is 6 or 9 there to young

  • thats a nice setup very creative

  • hey will u give me some pointers??on them i bought one and it died and im planning on buying another will u give me some tips?

  • Nice warm room..No drafty windows. Every time you clean tank use those chemical removing drops.. Use a water filter to slow down bacterial growth. Repto-min turtle food gives them all that their diet needs. Give them a basking spot. Treats will keep them happy. Mealworms, river shrimp, crickets. Earthworms. Broiled chicken. Massage gently their shell with a good quality toothbrush after every tank cleaning.(Gently) to remove algea and excess bacteria.

  • that water should be deeper

  • they have a new tank now with deeper water and a basking light and its alot better and bigger i have 4 turtles now too, thats enough for me now though!

  • o ok thanks any way :)

  • what sex were those turtles and how old were they?

  • to be honest im not sure they are young my son rescued them from a boy who was keeping them in a shoe box with a dish of water and not looking after them properley so we have them now, they are in different tank now with a basking light and fish they eat ...i am not a turtle expert! but have been learning i havnt worked out the sex yet or quite how to when they are so young

  • ooo i like them they're nice:D
