  • Lol this was possibly one of the first stories that threatened to make me cry :< Except I didn't want to when I was little 'cause my mom cried at everything and it annoyed me XD

  • many people may see the tree as an innocent victim and the boy as a needy and beyond evil character for taking so much from the tree and giving nothing.

but the story has two sides, the one that seems most obvious, because we all give more attention to the boy's apparent cruelty, but, if we look at the tree, we see that she actually enjoys being so giving, and that that makes her happy, perhaps the boy only came to the tree so that she could give him something in order to be happy. :)

  • @KRIMZONMEKANISM I don't think so. It's just... you never get the feeling that the boy cares about her at all, do you? In my opinion, this story is the story of a normal person. When we're kids we play and have fun and are so simple - we can just love. As teenagers we want everything and don't care about others at all. As adults we want to have a normal life and when we get older we get tired and weak and often regret the things we did but still can't see the mistakes we're making right now.

  • @BrideofdeathxD or it could also be an analogy to man's constant abuse of Nature for taking her for granted. :)

we will never know what it truly means unless the writer has already revealed it =)

  • @KRIMZONMEKANISM You're right. There are so many ways of interpreting this that is impossible to say what the writer actually wanted to say :D

  • @BrideofdeathxD as long as it awakens an emotion deep inside of us, this tale doing it's job :)

  • The narration is nice, but why use the stump pictures so early? Also, I agree, the transitions do seem a tad quick at times.

  • aww i love this! but its not the same without the pictures :'(

  • It's simply but not the same without the pictures.

  • The narration and the sound effects are great but I think the transition made me a bit dizzy. I think it's too fast.
