Love this anime. I remember seeing a trailer of it when I was a kid, the dud who turns into a lion was starring at the screen (intense close up), then his eyes changed and you could see he was transforming. Does anyone know where I can watch that trailer?

@eighteen510 DUDE I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! when i wud watch Martian Succesor Nadesico, the trailer came on, and there was that part and i was like THATS SO BAD ASS! if you have any of those old VHS ovas of Nadesico or Rune Explorers. its on one of those. It was from the trailer of the Legend Of Crystania The Motion Picture. This openins is from the 3 part OVA that came after it.

I love the Lodoss anime series, so when I learned about Crystania being in relation, I just had to check it out. It's a very good anime, it's just too short, but that's my opinion. The opening theme is awesome. It really makes my hair stand on end not to mention it sounds like a mixture of metal and 80's wave music.

Has anyone else seen the Legend of Crystania movie and 3 OVAs? I can see why Lodoss fans are disappointed because there's very little connection with the Lodoss series other than Pirotess and Ashram being in this. They also look different since it's a different studio. Oh yea, Emperor Beld makes an appearance in one of the OVAs.

What sucks is that you don't see a lot of Ashram in action but overall I thought Crystania was okay.

were the ovas different from the movie? i read that the movie was actually just the three ovas combined. i saw the movie though, and it was sad-ashram just can't get a break, whether it was the lodoss oav or the crystania movie (which was supposed to be an extension of the chronicles series). tell me about the ovas though

yes, the ovas are different form the movie. the ovas should be viewed after watching the movie.

do the ovas just explain what's going on in the movie, or do they add as well? like i thought i heard about ashram actually living in the end of the ovas whereas it seemed like he died in the movie

the ovas add to the story, but it will have references (flashbacks) from the movie. as for ashram living in the ova, i don't want to spoil it for you but i will say that your last statement is more/less correct.

The director is Ryutaro Nakamura, I don't know if this guy is the artist too and the name of the song is in the first messages of the comments & responses.

I'm glad someone uploaded something from Crystania. However, "Hajimari no Bokuenshatachi" (or "Hikari no Chizu") is the Ending theme of Legend of Crystania. Not the opening. Sorry.
