  • it was the punch yes and i got it sorted thanks for that bro! lovin the kick btw sounds awesome thanks again for help.

  • @4111dr No problem! :)

  • tryed copying ur exact method but when i go to alter the env1 (1.05) it doesnt change the sound like yours? new to this game!

  • @4111dr In what way does it sound different? If it doesn't sound punchy or 'clicky' enough, it could be because of the shape of the envelope. Or, it might be the pitch mod amount that you set to the oscillator.

  • thanks so much for the bonus tutorial "the screaming kick" i really was thinking " how the fuck i gonna make a screaming kick" thank you so much :D

  • cool no nonsense vid.

  • This is awesome! Thanks :)

  • :) Nice, better to make kick on a Microtonic Vst though ;)

  • Logic makes it look so simple... but it isnt..

  • He choose Ultrabeat and the kit he chosse is Drag & Drop Samples :)

  • hey man i understand that you used ultra beat but where di you get the samples to make the kick?

  • @Cameronroweindahouse I am not using samples to make the kick in Ultrabeat. I created the kick by using an oscillator then controlling the pitch of it through an envelope (you'll see around 1:01). Afterwards, I tweaked around with the oscillator to create a square wave-like tone (1:21).

    Hope this helps ;)

  • @Ranzor96 ohhh ok, yea i thought u weren't using samples haha, but how to you connect the an oscillator to ultrabeat? like if i open logic and open ultrabeat i cannot hear anything when i play on the keyboard. i pretty much completely understand the envolope/square wave part, i just dont know how to connect an oscillator or something like that to logic. but this is a great video on showing how ultrabeat works :) if only i knew why i cant get any sound when play notes when using ultrabeat haha.

  • @Ranzor96 lol finnaly got it working but only c1 makes a sound when using the phase osc

  • @Cameronroweindahouse Because thats the only key you actually created the sound on

  • @Cameronroweindahouse its a synth kick man. :)

  • superb

  • respect dude, actually the best tutorial i have ever seen!

  • Thank You!!!! :)

  • AWESOME!!! Thanks dude!

  • the best tutorial on youtube

  • Great tutorial man. I'll let you know how this translates to Ableton. Oh and the "screaming" kicks was a huge bonus. Such a huge sound on just one track, keep up the good work man!

  • @hellopairs Thanks!

Btw, I don't really know what those harsh sounding distorted kicks are called so I just called them 'screaming kicks'.

  • @hellopairs Oh BTW, I put up a demonstration of a gabber kick patch before/after working with Ranzor. The difference is dramatic. Such a HUGE grimey sound, yet different than Ranzor's work (I used Ableton Operator). I don't create hardcore music, it was just a technical experiment. It's a private link, so if you want to hear it just ping me here or on Soundcloud (Troy Turriate).

  • nice tutorial of nice kicks! :P

  • @47Mystic47 Thanks. I'll probably make more of these tutorials in the future ;)

  • @Ranzor96 fucking epic O_O

  • @Ranzor96 Please do! :D
