  • wow....pl pray that my daughters too takes this decission......awsome

  • Rhema, the world will offer you stars and more....but don't loose sight give the world Rhema (the spoken WORD) looking forward to meet you in heaven soon.

  • Congratulations!

  • "Congrats"

  • Also, in reference to a previous comment, "conviction" is not possible at an "age so young", actually. Abstract thought, inclusive of everything within the realm of religious belief, is physically impossible until, at the earliest, 12 years of age. Think about that, now.

  • this ritual still baffles me

  • Amen to that....

  • baptist!!!!AMEN

  • čhjklt jought glack cjihgjœtüujh!

  • It's nice to c such a young girl love Jesus that much:)

  • beautiful. Love from us!

  • Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus, for the remission of your sins and ye shall recive the gift of the Holy Ghost! :) love ya! #Apostolic love

  • Top Comments...... here I come.....it's my chance.......hmmmmm.... is it peanut Butter jelly time??

  • 2:39 the best part of the video!

  • beautiful baptism. GOD bless you and your Dad and may the good LORD always guide you.

  • Thank God she decided to give her heart to God

  • There is nothing wrong with black. White is the WORST color to wear cause when wet YOU CAN SEE THROUGH IT. In fact, a lot of people wear regular clothes while being baptized. Only problem with this was that she was baptised with titles, not His name. Also, it's sad that there wasn't a move of the Holy Ghost.

  • whats ur name rivermoonsky

  • whats ur name

  • WELL IM MORMON TO SO...... YEAH

  • is she mormon

  • @uNdAkUvA whats wrong with being mormon?! and no i'm pretty sure she isn't because mormons can only be baptized if their 8 yrs.(I AM A MORMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) P.S DON'T JUDGE PEOPLE OF THERE RELIGION!

  • @rivermoonsky well spoken. We all share the same lord

  • This is so beautiful(: You keep going girl, you'll make is so far with Christ.

    God bless you

  • Jesus is the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. Not one time was anyone ever baptized in those titles, If you look in the book of Acts, there is not one example of any person being baptized in the name of the father, son, and holy ghost. Every example we have in the Bible is always done in the Name of Jesus or Jesus Christ or Lord Jesus, why? for the remission of sins. Acts 2:38.

  • @MrApostolicdoctrine1 Re: Name in which to be baptized. I'm not even "baptist" yet I believe in baptism in the name of Yeshuah (Jesus) Christ, Son of the living God. I've never had a real, original, and BURNING love for Him until now in my early 40's. I'm thankful that God my Father has preserved me this long that I would have an opportunity to be baptized because of that love and understanding of it! It's tough finding some one to baptize in His NAME, however!!!

  • @kschanaman ....don´t miss out on this event, find a friend who believes in Jesus and others who don´t if you want. Babtize yourself infront of witnesses in a pool or bath... rember Jesus was born in a crip .. born again and washes with His blood Amen!

  • how old was she when her mom passed away?

  • how old is she in this video of her being baptized?......

  • how old is she

  • I was raised. Baptist baptized. At 6yrs. Parents then switch to penticostal. Although confused. At first. Learn to follow. God on my own. Not in religion but in jesus. Not Baptist, not Catholic. Or any other man made religion. The bible is our hand book written. In plain english for all to listen. And for this little girl always remember jesus saves. The road is tough. But God is with you..

  • She's so amazing I cried when she sang, she's real! And it comes from her heart I wish all young people were like that! God bless Rhema and your daddy:)

  • Jesus said u cant enter the gate of heaven if u are not baptized by the water of the Holy Spirit....I love you RhEMAAAAAA C U IN HEAVEN

  • I love Her so much . I believe she will become a great person one day . No other kids like her age will speak and behave like her .

  • wonderful

  • i think she is wonderful that is good she is getting babtise.

  • It's amazing to me that people would have anything negative to say about this video ESPECIALLY to speak of the COLOR of her clothing. God looks on the heart...it is MAN who looks on the outward appearance!! This little girl is a true inspiration and has an amazing God given talent!!

  • She is so sweet she realy amaze me, live for God He is our only hope and touch as many lives as you can. Love you

  • This is wonderful. The Word of God states that out of the mouth of babes and sucklings He has perfected His praise. Rhema is an awesome testimony of God. She shows me the heart of God that I need to get to heaven. Sing on sweetheart. The color of her dress nor the color of anyone's clothing matters to God. He looks at the heart and what's in it. Black is the absence of color. Maybe she wanted others to see Jesus and not her. May the Spirit of God permeate her life in every way.

  • Unbelievable, that people could even comment on the color of clothes, God is color blind. Maybe you people should look inside yourselves, and take the log out of your eye. This child is a gift from God, and maybe some of you are just scraps of dung on the garbage heap.

  • does it really matter what color is wearing...i wore a different color dress when i got baptised, so whats the point? anyways...love the video :)

  • You're Amazing Rhema <3

    May God Bless you! <3 <3 <3

  • i don't like it SHE IS WEARING BLACK WHITE if love ????

  • i dont like this cause there are a bunch of other mrucure 7 year old like i was

  • Whether 'god' is real or not, it's a nice idea.

  • Whatever path of faith one walks, it is humbling to see such conviction in one so young. :)

  • She is a role model!!! to all 7 years olds:) follow your dreams huney!

  • Ahh watching this reminded me..When i when i had my baptism..i wuz 13 then....imma be 16 in a few week.....and i want to go back to church.....watchin this tears me up....it made me realize..Im a lost sheep..and i want to go back to Christ..Pray for me...And Rhema Marvanne you're a god gift hun...<3 Thanks so much..

  • I love you Rhema in the Holly Name of Jesus !!

  • Rhema, please don't let the world lead you astray ... you are beautiful and you have a loving spirit and you are an innocent .. bless you!!!!!!!! Keep sharing the Lord's word ... I think we are in the end times!!

  • Reiniba, dandelion and everyone else trying to criticize this beautiful girl's beautiful, Holy baptism and her pastor and denomination--Jesus is an English bastardization of our Savior's True Aramaic name, which is actually the Aramaic version of however "Joshua" is pronounced in true Hebrew. The Father's name is given in the Bible and it is not "Jesus"; it was thought to be "Jehovah" by the KJV translators and today is more commonly translated as "YAHWEH". And Baptism doesn't save anyone. † <3

  • Jesus COMMANDED us before he ascended to baptize in the NAME NOT NAME(S) of the father, son and holy ghost, which are only TITLES representing the manifestations of ONE named JESUS. (Matt 28:19) Neither is there SALVATION in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among MEN whereby we MUST be saved!(Acts 4:12) Jesus said: "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15) His name has all power!! POWER to heal AND power to SAVE. so WHY are ppl baptizing ppl in titles??

  • I was confirmed last year on the 10.10.10 at 15 years old. Being a catholic has helped me in so many ways and I hope to never lose my faith. :) God bless Rhema, and may you never lose faith nor your love for music.

  • God laid out a perfect and precise plan of salvation in the new testament as it was laid out and detailed for the old testament tabernacle, every detail has to be followed to get it right, the name is VERY important.

  • I can only pray that one day she will be led to the TRUTH of Gods word and be rebaptized not in the titles but in the only NAME under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, that is acts 2:38 in JESUS name.

  • Don't boo the 20 ppl who click thumbs down. The do not know Christ like we do and you need to pray for them instead of Booing them. Lord Jesus I just pray for those who gave this a thumbs down that one day they too will know you like Rhema does! I pray you send them angels to guide them to you! In Jesus Name, AMEN!

  • HALLELUJAH! I pray that the Holy Spirit continue to lead out in your life Rhema, Gods blessings to you and your family.. X

  • @blossomwanttobe it is bit the same thing. Maybe you should read the holy bible instead of trying to say things that aren't true

  • If the water is so holy why u stepping in it!!! Why wast ur time just take a SHOWER (it's same thing !) ;b

  • @blossomwantobe There is nothing holy about the water.Getting baptized is a statement/symbol of your devotion to Jesus.

  • Lovely to share such a moment as this.

  • i was babtised when i was 9 or 10 and want to have it done again when im about 20!!!! i loved it!:)<3

  • Okay. Soooo Is She Catholic Or Christian? I'm A Christian.

  • I love see the childs go to Christ my savior!!! Aleluya!!!!

  • I think ur awesome

  • who cares if she was 13 or 30 she wanted to be baptised! she loves the Lord and felt the need in her heart to be baptised and she should be supported instead of "oh thats very good, BUT...". Rhema be blessed and continue to touch peoples lives for all your days to come =)

  • 13 is a good age, but If you wanted to give Your life to Jesus Amen for that Rhema. God Bless You and YOUR fAMILY. !<3

  • @keila9408 Jesus Christ Is The Blessing.

  • @isaiahlol19 my name is keila to and spelled the same way

  • @Carna12345 at my church we can't get baptized until we are at least 8

  • I Stared To Cry Cuz I Wuz Remembering My Baptism!

  • What denomination is this?

It's an interesting tradition, having children baptized that old. Although I am Greek Orthodox Christian, and therefore was baptized as a baby and had my First Communion the day afterwards (we believe that baptism is when the Holy Spirit enters the soul and that the First Communion kind of seals it, and that children should grow up with the Spirit in them to guide them as they grow), I'm curious about this tradition and the beliefs behind baptism at an older age.

  • @Carna12345 I'm not sure what denomination Rhema's church is, but my church is Baptist, and we get baptised when we are older. We believe that baptism is a symbol of a Christian's salvation, and being washed by the water symbolizes our sins being washed away by Jesus when we ask for forgiveness. :)

  • @Carna12345 for many Baptist churches it is a Picture of Christ's Burial and Resurrection. It is done after a person professes a faith in Christ's salvation. It is voluntary and after a person is old enough to understand what sin and salvation is. We explain it to our children and in many churches this something that available every Sunday service.

  • Praise God, although I wish you would have insited foor her to wait until at least 13.

  • y would some one not like wat she does tht not right pelpol and god bless u Rhema

  • Why was she baptized at such an older age was her family not catholic before?

  • @gogogirl252010 I don't think they're Catholic, which is probably why she's getting baptized at the age she's at.

  • Congratulations!!

  • CONGRATULATIONS Rhema!!!!!! God bless you! xxx

  • Mmm... good for you not to give up on Him. Worst idea of my life.

    RIP daddy. July 18 2010

  • @icthruu4evr that aint called for!!if you were to meet her you would not have the courage to say it to her, dont say it to us as those of us who are christians.thats like racism, its like callin a black person a negro....PLEASE KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF!!!!!

  • come on guys why do you teach this innocent kid that God have a son and the son was crossed for you . this is unblievable

  • @binabo she is innocent and if you knew what faith in GOD felt like you would turn over right now

  • @clatelynn

yah i know what faith in one God felt like not in three gods

i said don,t teach her that God have a son because this is not true

    May God bless you

  • @binabo "This is my beloved son, listen to him" said God when Jesus was baptised.

If you don't believe that you don't believe the bible (since it's directly from the bible) and then I wonder were you get your facts of faith from. God bless you

  • @ElmerAwesome

i believe that there were many bibles were written after Jesus(pbuh) was raised to God. some bibles said that Jesus was a god and the others said that he was a prothet and he he was not crossed

i believe the others because the first ones does not have a sense

  • @binabo THe oldest, from the dead sea scrolls, say Jesus was God.

  • @ElmerAwesome

    well

i have decided not to believe such things

how he could be a god and a man in the same time

i love Jesus as a prophet but i do not pray to him as a god

  • @binabo Just as we are body, spirit and soul, God is Father (JHWH), Son (Jesus) and (Holy) Spirit. If man is 1 in 3 then offcource God is aswell.

And if Jesus is not a God, then he was not ressurected and he never defeated sin, so asking HIm for forgiveness is completely powerless. Therefor you 'must' believe Jesus is the Messiah send by God because else you do not give Him the authority over sin. If he is just a man then you a person that lives and will die in sin.

  • @icthruu4evr What a disgusting post to put on a little girl's baptism video. Why would you even bring up that subject matter unless you can't stop thinking about it yourself. I guess it takes one to know one. Who are you to even be talking about her parents as well? Her mom died from ovarian cancer two years ago and her dad is the one watching while kneeling in the video. Have some respect you loser troll!

  • Saw this because I was led to see this by the Holy spirit over 2 months ago. It was posted seconds before I saw it. Brought a huge tear to my eye! I was baptized as an infant in a Episcopal Church. Then again as an adult in a Baptist church in a pool exactly like this one. God has big plans for your soul girl! Put him first always.

  • @icthruu4evr um no we are not stupid. God (Yahweh) will have anyone at any age become a part of his family. i do not have a low IQ i have had strait A's twice now, and i have always had A's or B's. you are the one that has the extremely low IQ score. God will invite anyone if they want to, when the baby gets older they can choose not to trust in God, but it is good to baptize a baby when you are younger so if you die at the age of 5 you can go to HEAVEN. you are stupid

  • @JumahEid ok yes there is a GOD. there is proof. there are these Dead Sea Scrolls (which are bible versus that the israelites wrote) and they have lasted for millions of years, and i have seen them with my own eyes. People have actually figured out what they are saying, an they match the BIBLE (GOD'S WORD)

  • @icthruu4evr people have been baptized as babies, and a ton of people get baptized when they are little, everyone grows in faith even when you are out of school. Rhema is lucky to be baptized so young.

  • way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AMEN!

  • @icthruu4evr LOL hes the priest. :p

  • @JumahEid Dont judge our beliefs this girl believes in hers and you belive in yours witch is wrong LOL but as so. Dont judge this girl shes very talented and more talented than youll ever be why? because your judging her when its easy to judge you. yes, u belive theres no god but some of us believe that there is a god. witch there is. But as so dont judge her.

  • oH WOW! i AM IN LOVE WITH THIS CHID. She is such an inspiration! I love her music. Keep singing for the Lord sweetie. I will pray for you and your dad. Don't let this world and its glitter steel you from Jesus! keep singing for God. One day you will see your mommy again. And what a day that will be.

  • @JumahEid i suppose ur not catholic are i right? well if you are satan why do u watch a video about baptism! im not going to tell you that whatever religion u practice is wrong (well it is) but dont critisize what we believe in because you dont see us putting you down for what you believe in.

  • Wonderfull, welcome Rhema in the Kingdom of Heaven, where all the angels sing for you and you will sing with them too ! Big Hug, you are the apple of his eyes, Yes, more orecious than gold or diamonds. You Shine!

  • This little girl is so amazing! Boo to the 20 people who clicked dislike.

  • @HTCheer98 boo to them

  • @HTCheer98 WELL 23 NOW

  • haha "yes, yes, yes, yes"

  • Great ,I never seen my life kids has faith this much strong. Prais God. God bless you all.

  • Im a triplet and i was baptised and i have a brother and sidrer and there are to girls and a boy

  • i wasnt baptised but i was blessed by me uncle as a blessed morman when i was 3 months and 33 days old

  • It doesn't matter what age. c: I was saved at 6, but baptized at 13.

Rhema's so adorable! I'm guessing that she's a Baptist, since her pastor baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost? We're the same denomination then. <333

  • Baptisim is just letting everyone know that you are, well not exactaly what it is but confeission is when you believe that god is you one and only savior

  • Batismal is not to forgive you of any sins yet it use a way to tell everyone that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.

  • I'm not baptised and never will.

  • it does not matter what age you are to get baptised i got baptised at only a few months a baptism removes original sin and that original sin was the sin that adam and eve made by eating the forbidden fruit

  • @Jamesallensda Do you go to L/S?

  • i love that you took that step but dont you think 7 is a little young for aa baptism?? nonetheless god bless you

  • Hi Rhema!! Thanks for light and joy you bring on this world, you're so young child but hav' got big hapiness to many many people on the world...!!! Bixx

  • the lord sent down that little girl to do good and change the world im sure her mother's spirit lives in her best hopes for Rhema and everyone close to her!

  • whats really sad is that her momma died from cancer

  • So beautiful! Thank you for sharing this with us! Go with God little Rhema!

  • Congratulations on your baptism, Rhema! So happy for you! May you continue to walk in the light of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

  • Awesome, simply awesome. I'm so happy to see that you've got that commitment to God. I just hope and pray that you stick with it for the rest of your life! Beat the odds by NOT becoming like Katy Perry and so many other artists that started out as Christians but then left the faith because they'd rather have the fame and fortune.

God bless you Rhema, as well as your dad and the rest of your family. You've got great things ahead of you!

    -James

  • @jamesallensda Im not religious but I would almost be willing to guess that Katy Perry was like a lot of Americans whenever they're handed some type of survey and it includes religious beliefs, Americans will typically check Christian before they check "N/A". This girl however has been raised in the church her entire life so the chances of her leaving is behind is fairly minimal at best.

  • @CompPerformanceFreak

You're probably right. However, I know that Katy Perry was the daughter of a husband and wife that were both pastors, so I wonder exactly what happened between her early years and today.

She recorded a Christian CD at age 16, but I guess she figured she could make more money with the route she took--which is definitely true. But I wonder, was it really worth it? I guess it depends on what you consider "worth it."

  • Wonderful! She has an awesome heart for God. It's amazing how much she actually desires herself to be baptized. GBU Rhema!

  • that was beautiful, it made me cry :) She's such a sweet girl

  • very odd to dunk with clothing on when all you need is water on the head. however god bless you.

  • @stilettorose Hi some ppl, like myself, believe that the exact method used is not a matter of salvation, however being submerged is symbolic of being "buried" with Christ. Also symbolizes that If I am dirty I need a bath, not a dribble. Some baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, others in the name of Jesus Christ alone...(long doctinal expanation) I've done both.

  • @stilettorose Some ppl believe it's a better interpretation of oneness w/ Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. Think : above, then under the water, and up again. Also more symbolic that we need a good bath, not a dip. Some say"Father Son, and H.S. others b/c of doctrine say "Jesus' name only. Ive done both.

  • God bless you darlin'....you are amazing!

  • Amazing little girl.....well done daddy for being her Rock...i know it cant be easy but your an inspiration to me...thankyou x

  • God be with you in your Christian Walk! Keep Singing!

  • Praise the Lord!!!

  • Wow!!!!Cool

  • Awwww sooooo COOL

  • GOD BLESS YOU KID

  • Rhema, God has blessed you with such beautiful voice but more importantly, FAITH in Him...thank you so much for sharing BOTH of those with us! Stay strong in the Lord...we all LOVE YOU!

  • Amen :)

  • This is amazing, I'm speechless. I can tell she has great faith in God and Jesus, just like her mommy.

  • rhema god bless you, i also did loose my mother to cancer 6 years ago, i know she's with god and i will be with her again one day. your singing has giving me hope to go on. i love watching your video's here on youtube. your awesome ! i know your mother's very proud of you, and your father's doing a great job too.

  • awwww

  • god bless this beautiful little angel, she is such a bright shining star, she has truly touched my heart, and to the ones being rude on here this is a chile, keep your rude remarks to your self, it dont matter what kind of church she goes to, she knows who the lord is and he is in her heart, when we get to heaven we will all be joined in as one, not catholic in one part and baptist in another and so on,, Rhema has herself a one way ticket strait to heaven, god bless you sweetie, hugs

  • Wonderful!

  • god bless this beautiful little angel, she is such a bright shining star, she has truly touched my heart, and to the ones being rude on here this is a chile, keep your rude remarks to your self, it dont matter what kind of church she goes to, she knows who the lord is and he is in her heart, when we get to heaven we will all be joined in as one, not catholic in one part and baptist in another and so on,, Rhema has herself a one way ticket strait to heaven, god bless you sweetie,

  • god bless this beautiful little angel, she is such a bright shining star, she has truly touched my heart,

  • Beautiful child but you baptized her in the titles and not the name... can you give me proof by scripture of anyone ever being baptized Father, Son and Holy Ghost in the bible? That is a Catholic baptism and is not scripture. The only name used by the early church was and still is Jesus. Now prove me wrong.

  • @wlwillis1971

If anything, it WASN'T "Jesus" under which the early church baptized people--because there was a lot of speculation as to whether or not Jesus was the son of God.

Read Matthew 28:19--in any version, in any Bible, and it'll say essentially the same thing:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost"

If what you say were true, then under what name would Jesus have been baptized under, himself?

  • @CalliopesChild Jesus was baptized under the dispensation of the Law, under John's baptism as an example for His New Covenant Church. It was not until the start of the New Testament Church that the instruction was given in Matthew's Gospel "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost". Notice the singular word name, Father is not a name, Son is not a name and Holy Ghost is the Spirit of the living God.

  • @wlwillis1971 I loved the baptism.. brought tears to my eyes...

Why the arguing? So what if the pastor used Father Son and Holy Ghost? Its not the water that saves and its not the pastors words that save. Baptism is just a step of obedience.

Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that He was raised from the dead you will be saved.
