This is awesome they introduced Yuri in RA2, i guess didn't even think he alone could spawn a sub-sequel for Red Alert.

But as much as i want to play a thousand games against Yuri, as hard i feel like he should be considered as a side character, and shouldn't let him drive away from the basic storyline.

I mean, isn't it Red Alert mainly because it is the soviets who are attacking? With Yuri it isn't about soviets anymore.

Red alert franchise died with RA2 Yuri's Revenge. Westwood did it right.

RA 3 is good as a game. But not as a Red Alert game.

Udo Kier & his character "Yuri" would never have came to be as he was born in 1944 in Germany whilst the war was still on...The hospital he & his mother were in was bombed by either the allies or soviet Russia. They were under the rubble.

Yes, bring back Yuri! ETC. I only bought Yuri's Revenge the other day after searching for ages for it!! Fantastic expansion to a game I've cleared many many times, I'm having a lot fun with it...As with all expansions, its a little harder than RA 2 though. 8)

U know what would be even more awesome? If the Empire was only purposed to weaken the Allies and the Soviets and distract them from the true threat that will arise in Red Alert 4, NAZI GERMANY. And that they would be allied with the Empire (just like in the true WW2) and half way the game Yuri would also enter the war. The world would be in a huge 5faction World War 4. The Allies and Soviets would consider an alliance and it would be Soviets&Allies VS Nazis&Empire VS Yuri.

uuuu no offense, dude, but the Nazi are eliminated from the Red Alert series because in Red Alert 1, Einstein traveled back in time and eliminated Adolf Hitler, preventing the Nazi from coming into power. I don't think the Nazi are coming into this game any time soon.

I know, Einstein went back in time to the twenties and shook hands with Adolf Hitler making Hitler disappear but it could be like some plot twist you know, like someone coincidencially had the same ideals of Hitler (they can put the antisemetic thing out of the game i guess...) and also chose a swastika to be their logo. Yuri Froces are freaking awesome if you know how to use them. Like 4 on 4 brutals Build Cloning Vats then Bring the REAL Yuri out and quietly without getting mudered either turn your foes building so they will destory them or there units.. Careful tho Telsa Troopers increase the range of a Telsa Coil if they are charging it O_O

I can't help but feel that RA3 was a missed opportunity. I mean, I have it, and I enjoyed it, but Yuri was such a great villain; the Kane of the RA series, and RA3 doesn't even have a mention of him. It's a shame.
