That amazing moment when Dave stood on stage with his guitar and began to play that song along with 17.000 other Foo Fighters backup vocals in Berlin. And I stood in the first row - just one of the f*cking awesome moments of that concert, back then. The album kind of fresh out (like 2 months) but everyone screamed all the lyrics along with Dave.

Mr. David Grohl is what one might call a musician, a genius. A true source of inspiration for me and my songwriting.

i love foo fighters, and this song is okay, a little too poppy for my taste, but hot damn do these lyrics suck.

@bsothefirst why do you assume i like that type of music? even this song is too poppy for me with the overused chords, typical structure, placid 4/4 beat and recurring chorus. Let's be honest, foo fighters isn't the most musically sophisticated band and this song is a perfect example. as for the lyrics, "Well, you wanted something better man, you wished for something new, well you wanted something beautiful, wished for something true" is extremely generic and lazy in my opinion.

@bsothefirst cadd9 is just a different voicing, the chord progression is still extremely generic, but i guess you have a point when you say he makes an entirely new song with it.

I've heard much better lyrics from dave, that's all. also, these chords have been used before MANY times. C, G, Em, G? This song is just a 4 1 6 5 progression in G with some slightly different voicings.

@ContrerasSnake It's called a capo, effectively changes the key of the piece your playing without the need to change the chords. Its just like tuning the guitar string up, but that can sometimes damage the neck or make the string to hard to play, so we use capo. :)

don't need a tab.. four chords for the whole song.. Dadd9, A, F#m E .. if u play with capo 2 then it's Cadd9, G, Em, D (relative to the capo) so easy, ur cat could probably play it ;)
