  • It wasn't AWSOME:( ...it was EXTREMLY AWSOME!!

  • THIS WAS FREAKING AWESOME KEEP IT UP !!

  • what's the screen all about?

  • @JRAproject Search 'KGridMod'

  • Baller fingerings, yo.

  • is there any program if we can do this with pc or ipod?

  • @MrKisameshrk YES !! WOO!

    There's a Korg Kaossilator app on the Appstore - it's NEW !!

  • This is fucking sick! I'd download it on iTunes if I could.

  • @Pandanobear @Pandanobear Thanks a lot. You can actually download this on my album Tailors' Oaks. There's a download link the description.

  • Come on my channel if you want to know how to get from 8 to 16 beats on kaossilator :)

  • nice work man, where did u get that screen or what is it?

  • Did you make this grid yourself?

  • how did you make the loop more than eight counts??

  • haha nice job dude. pretty sick

  • No one else on YouTube can make actual music with this thing. You are a glaring exception to the rule.

  • Bach's 'Toccata and Fugue in D Minor' is actually Harmonic Minor - your second last note should have been a semi tone up. Just sounds wrong to those of us who actually appreciate that piece.

  • @SanelyInsane I do appreciate the piece. I'm a conservatoire student. I just had the change the note for the purposes of this remix.

  • @SanelyInsane Christ, what an asshole

  • @SanelyInsane that comment just sounds pompous 'to those of us who actually appreciate that piece.' That would be its called a 'remix'

plus hitting exact notes on these kaossilator pads can be pretty hard sometimes.......

  • @SanelyInsane I am glad you are here to hear, to hold us on the straight and narrow. Don't fall off, or pay a note that has not been approved by a comity and at least one licensed historical preservation society. Seriously, you needed to post that? Ego check: voting you a semi-tone down.

  • @SanelyInsane someone is a snob.

  • @SanelyInsane HOLY CRUD! This is an AMAZING effort and all you have to say is that ONE note was off? Goodness...

  • @SanelyInsane oh come on lol, he did a good job, it's not like he half assed' it or something. he put some work into it.

  • Ok i dont know what these but i just found them on utube and they are awesome

  • where did u get the film on the screen??

  • Hey im just wondering, what key did you use? because i want to use the kaossilator to try and remix songs but i have no idea what key to use... please help, thanks:D

    GOOD WORK!

  • @Parkouryianni Aeolian scale works well. Try that in C.

  • @psychopath3000 I just got my Kaossilator not to long ago so could u tell me which one is the Aeolian scale?

  • @psychopath3000 oh i found it haha sorry thanks for the help! So now just to create a remix!...... lots of practice im guessing? haha keep up the good work

  • Superb performance, by far the best I've seen on youtube.

  • that was phenomenal, good work

  • my parents thought it was to repetitive,

    Nerds 8D

  • It's realy nice!

  • 8 dislikes = 8 haters, and i like how the effects stopped right when you started the beat. good beat and video i have to go get one now

  • Flawless. Just flawless.

  • That was absolutely wonderful. I believe you are the very best with this instrument. If there is anybody out there that comes even close to this person, I wish somebody would submit a video of it.

  • Great job dude, im impressed. do you reccomend the kaossilator for someone who wanted the Microkorg XL, but does not have the money, and is unimpressed it does not have a looper onboard?

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome! Where did you get the note grid from?

  • ☼ SEE ¨toccata & fugue¨ @ #WiKiPeDia . . . ♥ #Liberty ☼ #Libertad ♫ #Freiheit ♪

  • That was fuckin bang dude!

  • simply great!

  • is it a different version that has the grid on the touchpad like that? the ones i've seen were just a black touchpad

  • @skateplayguitar its a film on the screen, with some squares on it! i have that too, its a real good help. :D

  • Come on people... It is not even Bach anymore... It is just a well known melody, brilliantly used for a dance remix, with a 10.5cm x 13cm synth...

I love the built up progression, and the sound choices you did, man!! Great work!! And it also shows what a kaossilator can do, which is exactly what I was looking for checking it out in youtube...

  • how can i get cool finger hair like yours?

  • @MaxRiebel..... first your testicals need to drop...

  • Bach would love this!

  • @ImmoSci No, yours will just suck on its own. And why exactly do you feel the need to go around insulting people aimlessly on youtube? It's usually brainless, talentless people with inferiority complexes.

  • @psychopath3000 having looked at my comments, i spoke wildly out of turn, and am really sorry for any upset I caused, I was angry then and felt like releasing my anger onto the internet. That was wrong and i shouldn't have even gone there. I just have very stubborn views on music of the period and think it should only be performed as it was intended. I apologise again, and I hope that you enjoy producing music from your kaossilator.

  • @ImmoSci And by the way, when you do get one of these, I'd love for you to make a video and post it as a video response. I'll gladly allow it up so that the other 58,677 people who watched this can get a taste of real music making. Look forward to learning from you.

  • @psychopath3000 raped...

  • @ImmoSci pwned.

  • @ImmoSci asshole

  • Phat shit! :D

  • @psychopath3000 How are you running this on more than 8 beats per loop?

  • I never thought of using a stylus!

  • what red pad do you have on your device where could i find one of them?

  • thanks for the help, and thats an awesome mix!

  • hey, i was wondering if it would be possible to hook into my computer or computer speakers and what adapter would be needed. thanks!

  • @Alexnoppac You'll need an RCA to jack cable or line-in so you can plug your Kaossilator straight into the mic input on your computer.

  • @psychopath3000 I'm a bit confused, can you clear this up for me - I thought the Kaossilator would record 2 bars, I'm counting a 4 bar repeat? How'd you manage that?

  • @tc35drum Search for secret modes kaossilator. You'll find a tutorial.

  • Wow amazing tune!

  • Dude that was the shit! Glad I stumbled across this godly jam session! Good job

  • OK so I am Getting one of these and i was wondering if you could put a video of how you made Your Grid pad thing on the touch pad

    Please respond and thank you

  • @h3arm3out Search for KGridMod

  • Hi, I'm really looking forward to buy a Kaossilator since I've been doing electronic music for such a long time btu I'm now trying to avoid (not completely) VSTs. Now: should I save my money and buy a Kaossilator (which is good for rithms and loops) or spend my whole money and buy a MicroKORG? I'm for the kaossillator, because for what concerns classical Synths I have the Korg Legacy VSTs, but I'm waiting for your point of view!

  • @yesusgearfly Well you won't get any useful rhythms out of a MicroKorg realistically, although it has potential for extremely basic rhythmic patches. So it really depends on whether you want to make some cool rhythmic loops or just want to experiment with programming your own sounds.

  • @psychopath3000 I've got two microkorgs and they are awesome. If you really know how to play a synth you will do well with those plus they have vocoders. You can run in samples of anything or just use your voice through those vocoders and transform those into rhythmic loops. You should get the microkorgs and the kaossilator. Look for them used :)

  • is that a decal over the X-Y pad?

  • k a few questions, what do you use for a stylus? like is there specific ones made for it? i just use a nintendo ds one. and what are those squares on the pad? thanks plz reply

  • Hardcore art! n1

  • you're A M A Z I N G!!!!!!!!! :)

  • End is sooo badass how you repeat that last measure and just end it with that little solo. NASTY! :D

  • beautiful

  • fucking epic stuff bro!!

  • Awesome!

  • hey man how are you recording your music??? i have a laptop and i have a usb soundcard. i have the rcas into the line input on the usb soundcard and i have virtual dj to record them but how do you make it work?????

  • @gunghoman414 Sounds like it should be working already. Make sure the line in isn't muted in the control panel.

  • how are u getting it to record for long periods cuz I can't record for as long as u do in the video and others as well

  • @gonzojournalism46 You need to use a secret mode. Search Kaossilator secret modes on youtube and you'll find demo videos.

  • @gonzojournalism46 yea theres a 16 beat mode check it out

  • is there a limit to the amount of functions you can use in one loop?

  • @animatorguy2 No, but it starts to get a little busy and a bit unpleasant sounding if you loop too many times.

  • @psychopath3000 ah i see, do you prefer the kaosillator, or the kaosillator pro based on their features. is spending more on pro worth the features added?

  • @animatorguy2 I can't say I've had the fortune to try thw Kaossilator Pro. I think it's probably better to use a Kaossilator with a Kaoss Pad 3 and spend an extra £100 or so. That way you get the effects bank as well.

  • awesomesauce sir

  • how do you have that grid on yours?

  • @jonahblock KGridmod (search on youtube)

  • Beautiful bleeps and boops

  • You are the reason I bought a kaossilator. Good stuff!

  • Oh man the scale does not sound like Bach stuff. At the end of the melody, you must do a semitone, and that will sound like the bach toccata.

    By the way, nice skills.

  • best kaossilator vid on youtube!!

until I make one with mine of course.. ^^

  • Ive had my Kaossilator for about 3 weeks and i can make some O.K. stuff. You have a real handle on this device.

  • just out of curiousity, im a guitar player so i know my notes and keys and all that, but ive never done any synth, would this b a good device to start?

  • @TheFinalChance very much so

  • Amazing skills.

  • very good job bro!!! i can see you have used it quiet abit to get that good.. keep it up

  • that was terrific

  • It's funny how many people state praise for the equipment.

Bad ass amounts of practice are what lead to music, with any device.

    This was very badass.

  • @tantoedge Thanks, that's very kind.

  • can you write all the NUMBER's of thes effects, drums, etc ordered ?

  • @hollygjt be original D:

  • Fucking badass! wish i didn't sell mine :(

  • Could you send this to me ? :0 this is soooooooo awesome

  • wait..... how did you get the different sounds to basically play a rythym for you?? i noticed your gate light wasn't just playing 1/4 notes too.... HOWD YA DO IT haha

  • Omg, electro-classical is one of the best things ever.

  • damn that is awesome

    love it :D

  • damn..i played with the Pro version at Cuitar Center a few days ago and man was it fun. my parents always wanted me to pick up an instrument like guitar or piano. but this is the kind of music i like making. im def. gunna try and get a Kaossilator Pro for christmas or sumthing

  • Excellent work!!!

  • Very inspiring stuff. Out of interest what scale and key are you in for this?

    Great job :-)

  • @TheAdLab I think I'm using Aeolian scale. I'm not sure what key it's in though without a keyboard at hand. Thanks.

  • sick man. ive heard a ton of kpad vids n tracks and this is def the best one hands down. good work man.

  • great music guy! you rock!

  • cool

  • Should have kept the video effect going the whole time.

  • @mistermagicjaxir

This is only around $120-150. Very small buy for what it's capable of.

  • Someone probably already asked this but i didnt want to search all the comments, what is that little tool thing you use to press on the screen

  • @AllectoCerebrum A stylus.

  • What were you doing from 2:28 to 2:47 ?

  • @jgshoemaker100

    beat slicing

  • EXCELLENT!

  • this is just further evidence that i NEED a kaossilator.

  • Excellent!! Hello! what program used for recorded in Pc? Saludos !!

  • I have that Kaossilator, but I do not have a grid on it...how do you get a grid? And you mentioned that you just plugged your cables into your computer to record, bypassing a soundboard...what program are you recording in to? And, lest we forget...amazing job!

  • @BrainstrainMusic I'm using Cubase to record. The grid is custom installed. Search KGridMod.

    Thanks.

  • @psychopath3000 Cubase, nice...my Doppler key didn't come with mine, so I returned it and got Ableton, and I found the grid mod vid...transparency print paper, thank you!!

  • @psychopath3000 thanks for the info. might get myself one - seeing what a bit of practice and a shitload of talent can produce :)

  • Awesome!!

I am definitly getting a KAOS however i may go for the Pro. So for now im holding on to my money (also want a Numark OMNI control first)

  • Lol the intro sounds like part of There Was a Hole Here from Silen Hill.

  • I think Bach wouldn't mind at least he isn't being butchered by thousands of wannabe shredders like Pachelbel *lol* But seriously, thats really great cover, keep it up maybe you turn out to be the next Walter/Wendy Carlos (sex change is not obligatory btw)

    greetz

  • Awesome video, but what effect was the first little lead line done on? :)

  • Absolutely awesome, man. Did you put the red grid on the screen yourself?

  • amazing

  • hell yeah brother---great talent

  • Damn!

  • Hahaha that's one of the most awesome things I've ever heard mate. That's a fucking skill you've got there. :D

  • how can you actually save the song onto your pc? Is there some program that can do that?`

  • @minicm122 I've just used the audio RCA outputs of the Kaossilator and connected them to my PC, then recorded what I'm playing.

  • This is the first time I've ever seen one of these played with a stylus. I'll have to give that a shot. Awesome track as well, by the way.

  • Wicked.

  • Yo, I don't know how that on got by me... Hot shit happening there. I had a Bach piece I was working on, but I don't think I'll be posting it now...lol

  • Nicely done.

    Keep it up.

  • its his shadow plus the effect he has on the video

  • how do you get the touch pad to look like that?

  • @KyleLiggett he has a video on his profile that shows you

  • Wow!!!! Kudos, man...this is fantastic!

I literally JUST received mine tonight, and I can't WAIT to wrap my head around this thing! My "1st 20 minutes" videos are equivalent to an old 1970's Dinosaur Piano Toy compared to this, lo!!!

    Stellar job.

  • From this found out that this kit can do the intro to 'Plug in Baby' by Muse (one of my fav. rock songs.

    Genius vid. Thanks again!

  • wow this is great i have just got a kaossilator. Now i see how much practice i have to do!!

  • just ordered my kaossilator, but i've already come to terms with never being as good as this lol, awesome job dude

  • that was the most amazing thing ever.

  • Thanks!

  • nvm i looked at earlier comments for the answer

  • are those squares pitch markers? so you aren't limited to improvisation?

  • What are the settings you use for this beginning loop?

  • Well, I'd already recorded a hi-hat on gate 0, and then built up the beginning lead bit with gate 3, aeolian scale on sound 9.

  • This is great stuff, beats most of the Kaossilator vids out there. Love the touchpad mod too!

  • When my face recompiles itself after its latest explosion, I will congratulate you on your awesomeness... I cant afford a kaossilator right now, untill I can I have to listen to others awesome win.

(I have KORG DS 10, and I want to use the kaossilator along side it and some other fun things to compose some sweet stuff, though the kaossilator allows for some sweet solo play too. :D )

  • Thanks!

  • Yeah, JS is fucking rolling right now.

  • where or how did u add the red squares to the touch pad of your kaossilator

  • @907graphics Google Kgridmod

  • I got mine a few minutes ago, so i'll eventually get it, thx for the inspiration and tips!

  • Awesome stuff! As i wrote in another vid of yours, xou are by far the best kaossilator-only performer on youtube!

But how did you do those whatchamacallems at

    2:27, 2:30, 2:35 ? i thought you would need a KP for that...

  • @PlanetGolgomak Hi there, thanks for the comment. You just have the put the Kaossilato in DLY mode, and then slice the beat in real-time. It's hard to explain really...
