aaaahhh haha, This is funny cuz I remember at this part thinking to myself "hmm it takes like 5 seconds to beam them, what if they knew about beaming? shit they have phazers, wouldn't take me 5 seconds to shoot someone if I saw them beaming" lol but apparently I wasn't the only 1 who thought that, & this is how the movie would then go. LOL the look on Spoks face at 0:20, he's like "FUCK!, don't tell me...No..." haha
Scotty is used to this shit happening because he already did that to Porthos in the new Star Trek movie. Admiral Archer should have left Scotty to die in prison but instead stranded him on a desolate planet just like Kirk did with Khan. This stuff is just too funny to be real.
xD God. did they HAVE to do that?? LOL and to the dudes below me. Yeah. The scene actually had a purpose. Right after they began filming ST:TMP Leonard Nimoy decided he wanted to return to Star Trek, SO they conveniently kill off Sonak (the one on the left, the new Vulcan science officer) and throw in Kirk's to-be wife. Unfortunate :( This scene gave me the heebie-jeebies as well when I was younger.
And means that instead of short beaming scenes, ST TMP is filled with long special effects scenes such as Kirk & Scotty's shuttle trip around the Enterprise in spacedock; Spock's arrival by shuttle, Kirk and officers walking from the ship to the Vejur brain complex, etc. etc.
You needed to read the book to find out who was in the transporter.....the lady oon the right was Kirks GF coming to see him before he left....his shock to see her is even in the movie. THe description of the accident is even worse in the book.
Hilarious!!!!!

You should have had them beam down again after Scotty(?) says, "Do you want to go back?"
ankoku37 1 year ago
well I guess Trekkies could appreciate Generations now since Kirk died in the movie before.

That still gives me the heebie-jeebies. I can take the ear slugs, but that was just awful.

Lol! It seemed for scooty it is much worse losing his reputation as a miracle worker than losing Kirk & Bones.

Well, it kind of explains why the post as science officer is vacant on Spok's arrival on the Enterprice.
